“Holy shit, that’s a lot of turkeys, Thorn.” Jack sounded impressed.

“Yup. Turkeys for Bound for Hell’s major turkey. Now let’s get this truck over to Fiend’s-ville and I need a shower. Damn turkeys stink. Swiper’s right about bird shit.” Thorn sounded satisfied.

It was a great night for Thorn and Mad Jack. They got Nailz back, they got the truck over by the Fiend’s clubhouse, and they laughed and made gobbling sounds. All they could think about was Nailz and Jo’s faces in the morning. They also decided during another fit of laughter that Maynard had definitely earned the name of Turkey, and Bernie was going to be called Boost.

The next morning, Willie was up and ready to make the Winter Party a success. Her mother would have Melora until her date that night, and Dee was coming to help run the store. Black Dog watched Willie and decided that today was the day he’d propose. Willie too had a surprise for Black Dog, deciding to tell him later in the day. He drove her to her shop and listened to her being bossy.

“BD, we decided against having the horse. All my customers during the week said they were coming and you need to make sure those tables are set up for the bake sale. You’re sure Jelly and Maggie will be here on time?” Willie was chattering a mile a minute.

Black Dog grinned at her. “Willie, slow down, it’s all handled. Look, Thorn and even Jack are in front setting up.” Sure enough, Nefarious was present and getting ready for Santa and Mrs. Claus.

“Oh, Thorn brought the sleigh!” Willie realized, gasping. “It’s so pretty and the children can climb in and sit with Jelly and Maggie! I’ve got to call my mother and tell her to bring Melora over here.”

“Let the car stop, Baby, before you fall out. Willie, calm down. You’ve got all day to be excited.” Black Dog turned off the car and watched her hurry to her shop. As he was sitting there in his truck, Thorn and Mad Jack opened the door and slid inside.

Mad Jack began to laugh as Thorn spoke. “Dog. Um … we had a slight problem last night. Those turkeys weren’t dead. They happened to be alive, and some might have flown over to Nailz’ house …”

Black Dog held up his hand stopping Thorn. “Turkeys don’t fly, bro; they will charge. They can roost, sure. But ‘fly over to Nailz’? … Nope. There better be no blowback on me for this. I guess we need to buy turkeys now?”

Mad Jack spoke up. “Boost is out buying every canned ham he can find. We made all that money from Rumble’s tree sales that we figured canned ham was safer.”

Black Dog burst out laughing. “Safer, huh? Swiper is pissed at everyone? I don’t wanna know any more, do I? I take it Bernie is Boost and Maynard is Turkey? It’s outta my hands anyway. Darko is back from his vacation. About time too; I don’t need all this stress. I plan to enjoy today. Holy shit, look at Jelly.”

A cherry red Mustang convertible was bringing Santa and Mrs. Claus to the Winter Party. Jelly was waving to the children and the radio was blasting
Santa Claus is Coming to Town
. It was quite a sight to see. The three bikers looked on in awe as Jelly Belly became the jolliest Santa they’d ever seen. He was handing out candy canes and ho-ho-hoing all the way to his sleigh.

“Maggie must have dosed him with something,” Mad Jack decided. “Jelly really looks like Santa Claus. Look at the elves! Our girls are all dressed as elves! … And not sexy ones!”

All the Nefarious ol’ ladies were dressed as elves, except for Willie. Black Dog wondered if Willie had known of this plan. She might feel left out if she wasn’t dressed like one too.

“Gotta talk to Willie,” said Black Dog. “Go make yourselves useful. I expect those canned hams to be in the boxes of food for those families by this afternoon.” Black Dog went off in search of Willie.

“Dee, where’s Willie?” Black Dog looked around the crowded shop but didn’t see her.

“She’s in the bathroom, or maybe the back room, I think.” Dee was too busy to talk.

Black Dog looked around the back room and didn’t see Willie, so he finally knocked on the bathroom door. “Baby, are you in there?”

Willie opened the bathroom door and wiggled her finger at him to come in.

“It took you long enough to find me. I’ve got a surprise for you, BD. I hope I didn’t break a rule though.” She pushed down her jeans and lifted her shirt to expose her belly which had pink and blue ribbons tied around it. “Merry Christmas, Black Dog. You got your wish. Now what do you want? Boy or girl?” Willie felt his hand touch her stomach.

He dropped to his knees and laid his head against it lovingly. “No rules broken, baby. Except maybe this one. I’m sure your mother would be mad at me for asking you to marry me in a bathroom.” He looked up at her. “Wilhelmina Ann Reed, will you marry me?”

His hand slipped into his pocket and he brought out the most beautiful diamond and emerald ring Willie had ever seen.

Willie tugged on his hand to get up. “Of course I will, Dylan. This is the best Christmas ever.”

* * *

Everyone worked hard to make sure the families in need had food, presents, toys, warm coats, and Christmas trees. The Winter Party was such a hit, they decided to do it again the next year. But the most important thing the bikers and the people they helped learned was to spread the love. People welcomed their elderly neighbors to dinner, and the neighbors spoke to the bikers for the first time. They realized that, in most ways, they were really alike. Some may dress differently and chose to live life differently, but in the end, they loved all the same, and wanted the same thing for the holidays: peace on Earth and Good Will to Man.

The end.

Merry Christmas from Needa & family!

Thank you to all of you who read my books. That is the greatest gift of all to me, knowing that I’ve made you laugh or like one of my characters. Many people asked me what I wanted this year, and all I want is for everyone to take the time to smile at another person, help a person in need, be kind to animals.... and of course, please donate to your local animal shelter. If you can’t donate money, donate a few hours of your time.

Much love, Needa
