“There she is,” Damon said, pointing at the dancer just coming onto the stage.

“Ah, now I understand the name, redhead, should have known,” Regan said while keeping her eyes forward.

Regan was awed by her as she seductively moved and twirled onstage. She had a presence about her. Confidence, that was it. She was confident, and it showed. She owned the stage as she walked in her high heels with grace. Her red hair whipped to the side as she squatted and ran her hands along the inside of her thighs. Her legs opened wide, giving the customers a naughty peek.

Luscious Cherry fell forward on her knees and seductively crawled toward the front of the stage, her body stretching, her back arching then falling. At the edge of the stage, men flashed bills in front of her as she came up on her knees and leaned her head back. Her hands splayed across her bare stomach and inched up onto her breasts that were barely concealed under a tiny top. With a quick pull, the top came loose, and her breasts popped out to hoards of cheers.

Damon didn’t bother to watch, and that didn’t surprise her much. If he was already suspicious of Shay, he probably had set himself up to hate her whether she was a good girl or a bad one. Regan looked over at him and his look was one of fascination. His blue eyes twinkled each time the strobe hit them, giving him an even sexier look, if that were possible.

Shay waved as men threw bills on the stage. Regan smiled in amusement. Men were really easy to please. But obviously, Shay had a knack for knowing what men wanted to see. She could appreciate the guts and hard work it took to strip for a room full of horny men. From the outside looking in, it looked like a piece of cake, but Regan remembered speech class in high school and shivered. That was speech class with clothes on!

Regan began to break out in a cold sweat and fanned herself.

“Are you okay?” Damon asked, lightly touching her hot skin.

“Yeah, um, would you excuse me for moment?” Regan asked but didn’t wait for an answer when she got up and headed toward the ladies’ room.

Inside, Regan had turned on the cold water and was splashing it up on her arms, trying to cool off. She couldn’t understand why she was so hot all of a sudden. The cold water felt great on her skin. Too bad she didn’t have a whole pool of it to jump into. She thought about Shay and the complete control and confidence she had. How nice would that be to feel that secure in one’s own body? Thoughts continued to race through her mind as she cut off the water and reached for the paper towels. Her legs felt weak like Jell-O, but her heart continued to pound in tune to the music. This place was certainly an aphrodisiac, she was sure of that. Right now she wanted take Damon to a dark corner and have her way with him. But that would be bad. So far they had known each other for mere hours!

She couldn’t help her attraction to him. Not only was he good-looking, but underneath she could tell there was so much more and that part she wanted to know better. One quick look in the mirror at her appearance and she almost screamed. Darn wig! It was strange to see herself as a blond. No one would recognize her. Heck, she almost didn’t recognize herself.

Regan walked out of the ladies’ room feeling somewhat refreshed. When she saw Damon waiting, she smiled. He was worried, and that was nice.

“Are you all right?” Damon asked when he walked up closer to her.

“Great,” Regan said, and looped her arm in his. “It’s just a little hot in here, that’s all,” she lied as they walked back to their booth.

Once they were seated, Damon resumed his questions. “Are you sure? We can go if you’d like.”

Regan shook her head as she sipped her fruity concoction. This was more fun than she had had in ages, and she’d never been in the company with anyone as attractive and intriguing as him.

“You know, if you don’t want to go through with our plan, I wouldn’t blame you. I would still like to see you again.” His eyes were truthful and full of concern.

That did it for her. He was too good to be true. She definitely was going to find her inner strength and help him. Right now she had other ideas. “You talk too much,” she said and grabbed his shirt and pulled him to her lips.

They found an intense rhythm as their kiss deepened. Damon’s hands wrapped around her shoulders and slid down to her waist. His kiss was full of passion, which made it so much harder for her to resist him. She wrapped her arms around his neck while her body pushed for more. Her breathing was fast and shallow, and she couldn’t get enough of him. Passion fueled her desire until she thought she’d explode. She slowed down her kissing and nipped his bottom lip. When he groaned she kissed him harder, deeper.

His hands felt so good on her waist, pulling her close to him. She completely lost herself to the moment, and her hand traveled down his rock-hard chest to the very-erect cock in his pants. She gasped when she felt his hard, thick length. “Amazing,” she whispered breathlessly between kisses.

That was all it took for Damon to lose control. He pulled her quickly onto his lap and thrust against her, eliciting a moan from her lungs. His erection strained when he felt her hips grind against him in retaliation. Out of all the predicaments he had ever been in, this was the biggest. They were in the middle of a strip club and seconds away from giving the customers a real show. Damn, he wanted her badly. Each time her kiss deepened and her tongue darted into his mouth, his control inched away. If her mouth wasn’t so sweet, and her lips weren’t so perfect, oh he could go on and on.

But here they were about to tear one another’s clothes off, and neither seemed to care. Damon’s hands eased up her stomach and around her neck. He had to get control, now. He broke their kiss and pulled her close so that he could whisper in her ear. He inhaled deeply, trying to regain a normal breathing pattern before he spoke. It still came out heated. “We have to stop. Let’s get out of here.” He could hear Regan’s rough breathing and felt her nod. She couldn’t catch her breath, either. That was hotter than hell, he thought, as he loosened his hold, and she leaned back and looked at him.

“Sorry,” she said, smiling sweetly then wiping a dab of lipstick off his mouth.

“Don’t be sorry.” Damon smiled and slid her off his lap and erection. “Please don’t, I loved it,” he said, then kissed her softly and looked into her eyes that were still simmering with pent-up desire.
Huh, incredible didn’t cover what was happening
. He didn’t know want like this. Nor did he ever come so close to losing control. When she grabbed his cock and breathlessly whispered “Amazing
,

he nearly came.

Regan cleared her throat with a quick “um-hum” and looked around to see if anyone noticed their session. Damon laughed and picked up her purse. She wobbled when she stood and accepted it. “Thank you.” She giggled. “What was in that drink?”

Nice cover, sweetheart.

At the truck, Damon opened the door, and Regan slid in, smiling. She pulled the wig off and laid it on the seat. When Damon got in, she was fluffing out her brown hair. “You’re even hotter as a brunette,” he said and pulled her close and kissed her deeply.

His truck seat was becoming mighty inviting the longer he kissed her. This was not the place, though. He wanted her but not like this. No, he wanted a nice big bed with silk sheets, and he wanted to take his time and kiss over her entire body. This was wrong on so many levels, he thought, and broke away.

He leaned back against the headrest with heavy breathing and looked at Regan. “I feel like a teenage boy, a
virgin
teenage boy!” he said seriously but smiled. “I don’t know how you make me feel the way I do, but I’m about to completely lose control.” He shook his head and closed his eyes.

Regan slumped back into the seat and smiled. “I don’t mean to be...”

Damon leaned over and put his finger to her lips. “Shhh, don’t. I love it, but I don’t want you to regret it. I feel like my bringing you here has clouded your thinking, so please do me a favor and allow me to be a gentleman. If you wake up tomorrow and still want this, I’d be damn happy to oblige, but I want to be where I can properly uh, yeah, you know what I mean.”

Regan giggled under his finger. Her tongue darted out, and she licked his finger then smiled.

“You, my dear, make it very hard for me to be a gentleman,” he said, pulling her close and hugging her sweetly. He couldn’t understand why he wasn’t jumping in feet first and finding his pleasure. There was just something about her that made him want to know more. Of course, sex with her would be nothing short of exhilarating, but that could wait, would wait. It would wait until after the week was over when she was officially not employed by him, so to speak. He didn’t want her to have any regrets.

“You’re wonderful, did you know that?” Regan sank into his chest and took a deep breath and sighed.

Chapter Four

Regan woke up with sun as usual but lazily lay in bed and smiled. Last night had been exhilarating in more ways than one. She felt sexy, desirable, and overall pretty. Thank goodness Bree had come and helped her. She couldn’t imagine wearing that beautiful dress without the hair and makeup to complete the overall look.

That was the part of being a woman that Regan rarely embraced. She wore a little mascara and lip gloss normally but never much more. She usually felt utterly plain and that no amount of makeup in the world would help that. But Bree proved her wrong. A little eye shadow, blush, and lipstick seemed to enhance her eyes and draw attention to her lips. Having her hair styled just completed it all. Bree hadn’t overly teased it. It looked soft, healthy, and natural.

She rolled over and hugged her feather pillow and squealed. She thought once about calling Bree but looked at the clock and knew that she wouldn’t possibly move until at least seven. That girl was not an early riser, but she was a morning person, generally an overly annoying morning person.

There was a lot to plan and do even though it was Sunday. Now, more than ever, she was determined to help Damon find out what he needed to know. If it was important to him then it was important to her. And she was so excited about doing something crazy and off-the-wall for a change. Bree was right, one day she did want to look back on her life and think of it fondly. She didn’t want to have any regrets about not living life to the fullest and taking chances. She had her business going, and now she craved adventure and, of course, Damon.

Regan walked to the kitchen to start a pot of coffee. That was routine. Coffee was a must first thing in the morning. While it perked, she pulled out a pad and pen to jot down a list of things to do and things she really needed to know. She had only been to one strip club and that was last night, and most of it was spent kissing Damon senseless. What she needed to know was how it worked, the logistics basically. What better way to learn than the internet?

With her laptop set up, Regan began looking for sites that would help turn her from florist to stripper in less than twenty-four hours. She sipped her coffee as she read and lost time while she was engrossed in her studies. Then phone rang and jarred her thoughts. It was Bree, not a surprise there.

When Regan started talking at supersonic speed about her night, Bree said, “I’ll just come over,” and hung up the phone with a laugh.

* * * *

Twenty minutes later, Bree knocked and Regan opened the door quickly and hugged her. “You are a genius!” she babbled then closed the door.

“Did you have sex with him?” Bree asked, astonished at Regan’s overly giddy attitude.

Regan acted shocked. “No!”

Bree laughed and walked toward the kitchen for a cup of coffee. “Could have fooled me!”

After Regan finished telling her about her night with Damon, she smiled and seemed overwhelmingly happy. Bree hoped this didn’t end badly. She could tell Regan was much more into him than she even realized.

“So, here’s the deal. I need help. I need to first get a job at the club somehow, and then I need to do some serious shopping. You game?” Regan asked.

“Girl, you’re on!” Bree’s mind began to buzz with excitement. There were a few things she really loved in life. Regan, for one, shopping ranked a close second, and transforming people with her artistic abilities was third. This was going to be a lot of fun.

The next few hours they made plans and chatted about costume and makeup ideas. Regan had secured an employee for her shop for the week and was looking forward to this fun adventure. It was like a vacation, somewhat, with a hot cowboy in the mix.

Somewhere in the conversation, Bree became serious. “You’re not falling for him are you? I mean, he’s single, but is he as good of a guy as he seems?”

Regan giggled. “He’s a great guy, but the only thing I’m guilty of is falling into
lust
with him!”

Bree felt better when Regan said that. Not that it would be bad for her to fall in love, but if it ended, oh never mind, she thought and tried to focus on the positive. And that was watching her best friend get excited about an adventure instead of toiling away for hours by herself with a bunch of flowers. Not that it was a bad thing, but she could tell she was lonely and unhappy lately, and that bothered her.

“Okay, so shopping, that’s the priority,” Bree said while looking over her list. “You know we can go out today if you want. I bet there will some interesting places open.”
