Riding along the coastline until Samson advised that he was starving yet again, they stopped at a quaint Seaside Restaurant for shrimp and crablegs. After having had a couple of margarita's with their meal, they decided to spend a little time on the pier watching the fishermen before heading back on the bikes. As they lingered, the fishermen would pull up a string of fish or open the lid of their coolers and show off their catch for the day. All things considered, it was a pleasant afternoon. Arriving back at the motel, they went in and watched a movie, before going back out to the patio for drinks and fresh sea air. Samson eventually left them, citing a possible shark attack, and chuckling to himself he grabbed his Cut and walked out the door.

It was after sundown when Stax and Strangler moved inside. He went to the table and sat down with his magazine and she headed to the bathroom to take a hot shower. Knowing that  her hair had absorbed the salty air all day, she washed it especially good and wrang it dry with her hands. Then she toweled it dry and put the new extra vitamin conditioner in that she had bought today at the drugstore. Giving it time to do it's magic, she washed with her new coconut body wash, shaved her legs, cleaned her toe nails and let the water out. Turning on the shower to rinse herself and the conditioner out of her hair, she then stepped out of the tub and dabbed on her new coconut body spash.

"For fuck's sake, I've been acting like a goddamn tourist" She chided herself in the mirror. "Nope, can't ever be," She retorted to her reflection, "I'm a born and raised Floridian. No matter where or how far I go, this will always be home, not a fucking vacation destination." Satisfied with her reasoning, she opened the door to let some steam out, it was getting a little hard to breath.

"You know I'm gonna tap that, right?" She heard him tease when she opened the door. "Dream on Prez, your credit ain't no good here." She said flippantly. Hw got up from his chair and walked into the bathroom where Stax was trying to dry herself off. He took the towel from her hands and pushed her back gently, leaning her slightly backward against the sink counter with his body. "I take what I want Bitch," he said with an evil grin as he bent down and kissed her. "And then I walk away." He added, leaving her standing there watching his big frame walk back to his chair across the room. It wasn't lost on Stax, that this was the first taste of normal that she had experienced in over a week. She didn't feel guilty, or wrong for feeling something other than grief, she felt alive. This was a good sign she told herself, crossing the room still naked, she softly kissed her man goodnight and crawled into bed.

Minutes later, he heard her soft, even breathing and knew that she was sleeping. He was tired too, about half-past tired if he was being honest. "No, Fuck that," He thought, "I'm fucking spent."  He put down the magazine and headed for the shower. Getting out, he dried off and put on his underwear. "I can't do it" He thought to himself, "I can't sleep naked, I know it pisses her off, but I can't do it. Never have, never will." He walked over to the bed just as his cell phone went off, flipping it open quickly so as not to awaken Stax, he walked away from the bedside. "Yeah?" He quietly answered the call, "No, your fine brother, all clear." Samson, who had called from just outside the door, walked in. "Bar was empty except for one old, slobbering drunk, so I took a walk." He quietly informed Strangler, who shook his head in sympathy and nodded at the sleeping figure under the cover, "Nobody get's ass tonight brother, lets get some sleep, tomorrow is gonna be rough."  At that, Strangler slipped under the covers with his sunburned sleeping beauty and Samson headed for the shower. Morning would come soon enough, and it was the last day before their new reality truly hit them square in the face. Stax was gonna have to go home.

Too early for their liking, came the inevitable loud knocking at the door, followed by "Housekeeping!"  Samson hollered out, "Not wanted!" As all three were jolted out of a peaceful sleep. "Morning all." He muttered, without looking over at the couple in the other bed. He knew the drill, they had been in many a motel room together over the years. He got up, grabbed his clothes and went to the bathroom. After a quick shower, he brushed his teeth and hair, braided his long hair and got dressed. He gave a quick knock from his side of the bathroom door and looking straight ahead, crossed the room. Grabbing the magazine off the table, he slid back the glass door, said "Clear" and stepped out onto the patio.

At that, Stax climbed on top of  Strangler, "Morning Prez." She whispered, as she brushed her tits across his face, kissed him on the cheek and got out of bed. He watched her ass bounce it's way to the bathroom. "Did you sleep well?" She asked just as she reached the doorway. "Like a King" He stated, still watching until she closed the bathroom door behind her. He sat up and threw an empty plastic cup at the window. Samson stuck his head in the door, "All Clear brother." He said. "I'm good," Replied Samson. "Just let me know when it's time for breakfast."

Stax came out of the bathroom freshly dressed and smelling like aloe, and Strangler took his turn next. Stax went out into the hallway and snatched another trash bag from the housekeepers cart to put their dirty clothes in. "How we gonna fit all of this in the saddle bags?" She asked Strangler as he emerged from the bathroom. "Moby is coming up to meet us for breakfast, he'll take everything back with him." He informed her, "After breakfast, we'll come back and pack up, we have until 11:00. Then we can take a ride down the coast before heading home, that is, unless you want to hang out on the beach." She knew what he was hoping for and she also knew that she needed to stay out of the sun. "No beach, let's ride." Came her cheerful answer.  She made a mental note that before packing it all up, she would need to spray on another coat of Aloe.

Strangler stuck his head out out the door again, this time to inform Samson that it was time to head out for breakfast. Eagerly, Samson closed the magazine and grabbed the whiskey bottle that Stax and Strangler had left out on the table overnight. "Good thing there weren't any thirsty beach bums out last night!" He quipped walking into the room. "Slider will have you both sh-" He stopped and the last word trailed off as he realized what he had said. He looked anxiously at Stax, who had been caught off guard. They could both tell by the look of pain that crossed her face. "Your fine," She tried to assure Samson, "Your fine. We are all gonna have to deal with this together." She sighed heavily, "Da is and always will be a part of us, a piece of who we are. I don't want anyone to avoid talking about him or speaking his name. No one should refrain from sharing a memory, a thought or repeating something that he said or would have done. Sharing and remembering and thinking of him often, is how we will be able to keep him with us."

She looked up at Strangler, who had an odd look on his face. "Maybe he's gauging my reaction." She thought, looking over at Samson who was listening intently, "This is gonna hurt forever," She continued, "Right now is the worst because it's fresh, it's raw and it was so fucking wrong and unexpected. But we
will
get passed this and we
will
do it together. No more worrying about catching each other off guard or being callouse. We know that we wouldn't hurt each other on purpose, but we have to feel what we feel. And right now, we all feel the same way."

Samson walked over and gave her a tight hug and a kiss on the cheek, his bright green eyes, misty. "Your right," He told her, "Absolutely right." She kissed him back and looked over at Strangler, but he was walking out the door. For a brief second she thought he was being a bit callouse, and then she realized that he was probably trying to get his his own emotions in check. "Fair enough," She reasoned, "We feel what we feel."

"Lets go eat." Strangler said, returning to the doorway a moment later. He walked over to Stax and bent down, whispering in her ear, "I'm proud of you baby." They headed out the door and into the sunshine, jay-walking across the street once again. Entering the restuarant, Stax requested a street-side table, this time to keep Samson away from their original server. They ordered coffee and waited for Moby to arrive. They didn't have a long wait, halfway through their first cup of coffee they saw him pulling up in his old dinosaur pick-up from "19fuckingwhatever" as Stax usually described it. Mostly she did this to piss Strangler off, as he was a total motor-head to say the least and her, we'll not so much. She could tell a car from a truck and that was about it.

Watching him get out of the truck, Stax noticed how worn he looked, she was trying to put her finger on the right terminology. She couldn't help but notice the sag in his shoulders and the shuffle in his step. "This was Moby?" She pondered, "Happy-go-lucky,
the-world-can-kiss-my-irish-arse,
Moby?" She was stunned, if not for the suspender's and boots, she would not have recognized him.  As he entered the resturaunt and started walking towards their table, the word "Lost" popped into her head. She could see him better now, and he looked much older, disoriented, and defeated. Her heart could barely take it when he arrived at the table and kissed her face. Taking her hands in his, a look of deep concern in his eyes, he told her how much he loved her, and how everyone was waiting for her to come home.

Stax was immediately ashamed of herself.  She had not been strong enough to stay home and be there to comfort her father's closest friends. Those precious souls that Da called brother. The men that he had shared his vision with and built his life around. Who were all like second father's to her, always there for her, always protecting and teaching her. Often taking her side and ganging up on poor Slider in her defence. These precious, precious souls were worried about her, when it was she who should have been there taking care of them. She could only imagine poor Rage and Griff about now.

She squeezed his hands, "Please Moby, let me apologize for not being-" Moby stopped her with a tight squeeze of her hands and that sharp look that she had known since childhood. "
Shuuuush, now lass
" He said to her quietly, "
You'll not be apologizing to me or anyone else, t'was us what let you down
." He said sadly.  "No!" She gasped. "You have always been there for me, always, but I wasn't strong enough to-" Again Moby stopped her, "
Nay  lass
," He stated firmly, "
We won't be havin' this conversation now or ever, an I mean it

You done nothin' wrong. You had to feel what you feel, and that goes for all of us, you understand
." As he said this last part, he was looking at Strangler and Samson.

Turning his gaze back to Stax and patting his inner shirt pocket, he added. "
Now don'cha go ruining me appetite with all this heartache. Go'an fetch a cup-o-joe for me whiskey and cremé now.
"  He instructed, patting his coat pocket. Stax knew that tone, he was done and she knew better than to continue. With much love and respect, she got up and went to the waitress station. She poured a partial cup of coffee and brought it back to Moby, standing there about thirty seconds too long, blocking, as Moby poured the whiskey and cremé into his half empty cup.

Shortly, the waitress came and took their order. Yet again, they all ordered the breakfast bar, except Moby. He asked for poached eggs and fried tomatoes, and when Stax went to the buffet, she brought him back a bowl of mushrooms. They ate in thoughtful silence for the most part, until Samson noticed that their waitress from before, was pointing him out and apparently giving their new waitress a heads up on his shinnangans. He decided to stir the pot by throwing around a few comments about the physical attributes of the new waitress. Then sat back to watch while she shared her indignation with the other server's behind the counter. "
Your gonna get a fry'pan upside your head lad
," Moby told him, tongue-in-cheek,  "
Or worse, them women will all come after you at once and make quick work of your arse
.
I for one would happily put down my money, for a ticket to that show.
"

A few minutes later, Samson asked the new waitress if she would like to take a ride on his bike. Without comment, she turned and headed straight to manager, who came by with their check to see if there was anything he could assist them with on their way out.

Strangler tried not to choke on his biscuit, when Stax told Samsom he needed to see past his penis. "She's a bitch Samson, no class-no balls, she won't even defend her own tight ass." Samson, who always loved a good challenge, replied, "Maybe she's just not aware of how to deal with a real man. Maybe I should just offer her an education." Stax rolled her eyes, "Brother, for what it's worth, let me give
you
a little education, just remember this." Moby and Strangler were all ears, but were trying not to look interested. Stax didn't bother to lower her voice, "Samson, all a man can smell is pussy, but a woman, she can smell a cunt. Give it up my brother, this one reeks." Moby and Strangler were unable to control themselves at this point, the jig was up and they had no choice but to leave now. Throwing money on the table, they laughed their way to the parking lot and beyond.

As Strangler and Samson began gathering up their belongings, Stax poured them all a drink before he put the bottle away. Checking all the drawers to be sure she hadn't missed anything. The guys loaded the truck and Moby headed back to the Clubhouse. Since they had another 20 or 30 minutes before check-out, they decided to take their drinks out to the patio and enjoy the ocean view a little longer. Once seated, Stax spoke her mind. "I would rather go straight home than take a ride, I've been gone long enough." she stated. Strangler looked suprised, but she knew he understood and Samson was good either way. They lingered quietly on the patio until the time had come and leaving the key on the dresser they closed the door behind them.
