"Will do, goodbye."

She put everything away in the trunk and strapped Gracie and her seat into the back. She drove off and Mags was true to her word, she never came knocking again.

CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN

Adeen went running into the house from the garden.

"I saw a hummingbird eating the sugar syrup we left outside. It was amazing, I was frozen in my spot and I didn't want to disturb it, so I didn't take a photo."

"Oh, well, I'm sure it wont be the last time they come around. They know they can come here now for some sweet treats, so I am sure they will be back. What we need to do is build you a hide, so you can sit it in and take photos when the birds come and you wont have to fear disturbing them." Guy said.

"Whats a hide?" Adeen asked.

"A hide, or a blind is a little hut or a tent that is camouflaged so the birds or animals you are watching don't know you are there. It shouldn't be too difficult, I'm sure we could even buy a camouflaged tent at the hunting store. What do you think Darla?"

"Yeah, I'm sure they sell them down there,” she said stretching.

"You tired momma?"

"I sure am! This little guy in here kept me awake kicking all night."

"Let me feel him kick momma." Adeen asked.

"Well, we don't know its a boy, your momma just keeps referring to it as a boy, you could be having a little sister, any day now."

"I'm so excited momma. Are you excited Guy?"

“I’m very excited. I just hope everything goes well and your mom and the baby are healthy after it's all over with,” he said.

"Well, I will definitely be happy when it's all over with and I can get out of a chair without it taking five minutes." Darla said. "Lets go out and sit on the back porch and enjoy the sunset together as a family, it could be the last quiet one we have for a while."

"Yup, I agree. Grab that blanket from the trunk there Adeen and we'll cuddle up on the swing."

"Okay, got it. If it's a girl I wont have to share a room with her though will I? I really love having my own room now."

"No, even if it's a girl, you will keep your own room." Darla said.

"It's a pity when you're a grown up that you have to share your room with somebody else, I don't think I want that. I love having my own space!"

"Well, I don't mind it so much, I spent long enough on my own. How about you Darla?" Guy asked.

"Yeah, sharing has its perks."

"So, when the new baby is born, can I start to call you dad?" Adeen asked.

Guy, looking at Darla, with a sweet smile said, " I think that would be perfect."

They went outside sat on the swing on their back porch. They had not had the time to remodel the whole of the house that was now their family home, but there was still time for that, plenty of time they would spend filling it with new family memories of their own.
