“Can’t go slow with you,” I groaned as I slid the tip of my cock through her wet heat. “Not this time.”

Delilah shook her head frantically. “I don’t want it soft. I want to feel you everywhere.”

Christ
, baby.” I dropped my forehead against hers as she wrapped her legs around my waist, crossing her ankles just above my ass. I was so close to losing control. “You can’t say shit like that. Not right now. I’m losing my fucking mind.”

She lifted her head up and whispered in my ear, “Then lose it. Fuck me, Richard. Just like you did that night.”

With one, almost uncontrollable move, I buried myself as far as I could possibly go, both of us crying out at the perfect fit of our bodies joining together. I pulled out until just the tip remained before driving back in, over and over until both our bodies were slick with sweat.

Shit
. So fucking good. Better than I remembered, baby.” I spoke between pounding thrusts.

“Harder, Rich,” she begged as I fucked her with everything I had. “Faster. Please.”

I’d give her everything she wanted. Anything. I picked up the pace, driving in and out as the room filled with the sounds of her whimpers and moans, my grunts of pleasure, the sound of our skin slapping together. Her eyes opened as I stared down at her face, the whiskey brown bright and glassy. “If you disappear on me again I’ll find you, I promise you that. And I’ll punish you until you can’t fucking move. Understand?”

“Richard,” she whispered, her tone a combination of fear and awe as her climax built to an almost scary level.

“I’ll tie you to the goddamned bed if I have to.” Her head thrashed, eyes screwed shut. “Tell me you understand,” I bit out.

“I-I understand,” she admitted in a staggered breath.

Her nails dug into my shoulders hard enough to draw blood. “It’s too much. Too much, Rich.” She fought against me with her hands even as her hips rose up to meet mine with every thrust.

“It’s not too much, baby,” I said softly. I took both her hands in mine and pinned them to the pillow on either side of her head. “I can feel you, Delilah. You’re so fucking close, baby. Just let go.”

“I can’t,” she argued even as her walls squeezed me to an almost painful level. Fuck, I was close. That telltale tingle at the base of my spine continued to grow in intensity as I got closer to coming. I’d never felt anything like it, nothing in my life had ever been as good as being inside Delilah on the brink of release.

“You can,” I coaxed, changing my grip so I could hold her wrists in one hand, freeing one hand up so I could slide it between our bodies until I found her clit. “You’re right there. Let go.” I pressed against her clit and buried myself to the hilt, grinding my hips to hit that one special spot deep inside her.

“Oh, God. Oh
fuck
!
RICHARD
!” She shouted at the top of her lungs as she flew over the edge, coming so hard she clamped down on my cock.

“Fuck, yeah. Just like that. Just like that, Delilah. Fuck, fuck, fucking shit! I’m coming baby!” I bellowed as I followed her over the edge into the best, most intense orgasm I’d ever experienced. I don’t know how long I came, or whether or not I blacked out, but by the time my dick stopped twitching, I’d never felt more spent in my entire life.

“Oh my God,” she gasped once it was over. “That was…
insane
.”

I chuckled as I lowered onto my forearms. “And that was just the starter. Imagine how good it’ll be the next time.”

Her eyes went wide with panic, causing me to laugh.

“I barely survived that, Richard. I don’t think I can do it again in one night.”

“Oh you will, baby.” I kissed her lips. “Again and again and again. I hope you aren’t busy at work tomorrow because I plan to keep you up all night.”

“Oh no,” she groaned, covering her face with her hands. “You’re going to kill me.”

“But what a way to go, right?” I laughed.

Just then there was a knock on the wall right above our heads, followed by Devon’s now familiar voice. “I’m expecting a raise after tonight!”

And after coming as hard as I just did, I was pretty inclined to give her one.

I AWOKE IN THE
middle of the night with a nagging sense of ‘
oh sweet fudgecicles, what did I do
?’ nagging in my head. I had sex with Richard again…
four times
. In one night! I hadn’t thought that was possible. As I shifted on the bed, I felt little twinges of pain in places I hadn’t even realized existed.

Despite my internal freak out, I couldn’t stop a tiny smile from curving my lips. I pulled some moves last night that would have made a porn star applaud. Who knew I had that in me? And why,
why
did it take a man who would probably only end up breaking me, if I hung around long enough to let him to, pull that part of me out and into the light?

I needed to get out of there. Well, first I needed to pee. Like, bad,
then
I needed to get out of there.

I held my breath as I slowly tried to scoot out of Richard’s hold. I didn’t even allow myself the time to appreciate just how perfectly he was spooning me. My entire relationship with Brant, I’d always wanted to be the little spoon to his big one, but he had a thing about not wanting to touch while sleeping, so I never got that particular wish.

Richard Locklaine was a spooner. He also had the power to give me multiple orgasms on top of orgasms. Yeah, he was
definitely
hazardous for my heart. He was just too perfect. And seeing as I’d been a jerk magnet my entire life, I knew that perfection was just a smokescreen. It eventually disappeared, leaving you feeling bereft.

Before I could move so much as an inch, his arm around my waist tightened like a bar on a rollercoaster. “Mmm,” he hummed sleepily. “Where you going?” His sleep-raspy voice made me shiver as an electric shock traveled down between my legs. Dear Buddha, the man was even sexy in his sleep.

I whispered my lie. “Bathroom. I have to pee.” His arm loosened and he placed a chaste kiss on my shoulder.

“’Kay, baby. Hurry back.”

I slid from beneath the sheets and stood at the side of the bed, staring down at the gorgeous man (somewhat blurry without my glasses), already fast asleep once again. Tiptoeing to the attached restroom, I quickly did my business as quietly as possible and washed my hands before turning out the light and heading back into the bedroom. Richard’s delicate snore told me he was out like a light. I moved at a snail’s pace, trying not to make any noise that could disturb him, but mainly because I couldn’t see much of anything without my glasses. Once I’d located all my clothes that had been strewn across the bedroom floor, I shuffled in the direction of his nightstand where I was pretty sure he’d stashed my glasses.

The drawer gave a tiny creak, causing me to freeze as my heart beat rapidly in my chest. Richard threw an arm across his eyes, but other than that, didn’t move. Once I was sure he hadn’t woken, I pulled the drawer the rest of the way opened and patted around, brushing condoms out of the way, trying not to think about how many we’d used in just a matter of hours.

The instant my fingertips brushed against the plastic frames, I let out a relieved breath and pulled my glasses from the drawer, sliding them onto my face so that the entire room came into crystal clear focus. Damn, he really was pretty.

Stop looking at him, Delilah! Stop looking and get out before it’s too late!
My brain screamed. I knew it was right but that didn’t mean I wasn’t going to take just a few more seconds to appreciate all that masculine beauty.
He’ll break your heart
, my brain warned.

Not if I don’t fall for him,
I argued back like a crazy person.

Pfft,
my brain snort-laughed.
You say that like you haven’t already started.

I haven’t
! Right? I couldn’t have possibly started falling for Richard. I mean, we barely knew each other. And yeah, sure, he dog-sat Shady after his surgery, and so what if he spent the better part of this week sending me meaningful gifts, that didn’t mean I was falling for the guy. Yes, he’d come by the shop to offer help and managed to win over my father, but that just made me appreciate him as a friend, it didn’t mean I felt more for him than that… right?

Right?

“Oh shit,” I whispered into the dark room. I was starting to fall for the guy! How the hell had that happened?!

Not wanting to waste any more time arguing with myself in my head, I headed out of the bedroom, nearly tripping over a discarded pair of tennis shoes in the hallway in my haste to escape. Just as I reached for the doorknob I heard the sound of the lock disengaging, and the door opened.

“Well, now,” Collin smirked at me. “And where are you off to at…” he lifted his arm and scanned his watch, “12:15 in the morning, missy?”

“Uh…” I shifted uncomfortably. “Home?”

He crossed his arms over his chest and I got the distinct impression he knew I was doing something I wasn’t supposed to. “And does Richard know you’re sneaking off?”

“Uh…”
Think, damn you
! “Yes?” Why? Why had I been forsaken and born without the gift of lying? Jace had always been so good at it. It wasn’t fair! Instead of trying to formulate a believable lie, I did the only thing I could. I propped my hands on my hips and scowled at the big man. “Not that I see how it’s any of your business, but I’m a grown ass woman who can do whatever I want. And what I want right now is to go to sleep in my own bed. So if you’ll excuse me…” I didn’t wait for a response before shoving past him and scuttling down the hall to my door.

“Please be awake, please be awake, please be awake,” I chanted under my breath as I knocked on my own front door. Without my keys or cellphone, I was at the mercy of Devon. And let me tell you, sometimes that wasn’t the best place to be.

I chanced a quick glance over my shoulder as I continued to rap my knuckles against the wood in quick succession. Sure enough, Collin stood in the doorway watching me with a humorous grin plastered across his face. A sudden sense of dread caused my stomach to plummet to my feet as I watched, almost in slow motion, as he opened his mouth and shouted. “Richard! I think your girl’s pulling a runner! Might want to get your ass out here, man!”

“Oh no,” I gasped. Instead of knocking, I began pounding on the front door. “Devon! Open up! Let me in, let me in! Devon!” My fists beat against the wood and I could hear Shady barking furiously as I watched Richard’s doorway with growing panic as a mussed Richard barreled through wearing nothing but the jeans he’d had on earlier. From the looks of it, he’d pulled them on so fast he hadn’t bothered to do more than zip them up. His face looked furious when he caught sight of me. My heart tripped and my lungs all but seized up at his expression. With just one look, he intended to hand out that punishment he’d promised if I attempted to run again.

“Devon!” I shouted just as the door flew open. “Oh, thank God.

“What in the world’s going on?” she asked as I pushed past her, using my foot to push Shady’s hyper little body out of the way so he didn’t get stomped on.

“Delilah.” Richard’s voice held a warning as he stormed after me. “Don’t do it—” I cut him off by slamming the door just moments before he reached it, throwing the deadbolt and taking several steps back, watching as though I expected him to Hulk out and bust through at any second.

“Jesus Christ on a cracker,” Devon muttered, rubbing her tired eyes. “Will someone tell me what’s happening? I was having the best Adam Levine dream before you interrupted it.

“Delilah!” Richard called through the door. “Open up right now!”

Devon’s now much more alert gaze bounced from me to the door. “Start talking, Del. Why is our neighbor beating on our door in the middle of the night?”

More pounding sounded as I twisted my fingers together. “I kind of… snuck out.”

“Why?” she asked incredulously. Before going wide-eyed.

“I don’t know!” I yelled over Richard’s incessant knocking. “I just… freaked out a little bit.”

“Fucking swear to God, Del,” Richard shouted. “I will beat this door down and spank your ass until you can’t sit down if you don’t open up!”
