“Anything works for us, as long as there’s meat,” Xavier said, giving her another wink.

Adele hurriedly locked up her office, and the three of them hurried out the door. It was a gorgeous spring day, with the sun beaming down on the campus. Students loitered around the lawns, soaking up rays in between classes, and a few professors were holding their sessions under the trees.

Arriving at the sandwich stand, they ordered their food and took a seat under one of the few live oaks that was currently not surrounded by other people. Adele eased her body against the tree trunk, and Xavier and Oscar settled on either side of her.

Oscar leaned in for a quick kiss, and Xavier did the same. “I know you’re nervous about bein’ seen in public, and I can understand that when you’re at work, but you’re just so irresistible,” Xavier said.

Adele couldn’t help but blush. “I happen to feel the same way about the two of you. Just be careful, okay?”

“You got it, baby.” Oscar said.

They ate in silence for a while, enjoying the day and the food. Suddenly, Adele realized that Xavier was staring at her intently.

“Do I have mustard on my face?” she asked.

He chuckled. “Naw. I was just sittin’ here realizin’ how little we know about you other than your job. Don’t know much ’bout your family or your childhood or anythin’ like that.”

Adele shrugged. “There isn’t much to tell, really. I was an only child. My dad ran out on us when I was young, and I haven’t heard a word from him since I was five years old. My mom passed away a few years ago after a bad car accident. I know I have a few distant cousins on my dad’s side, but after he left, we fell out of touch with them. I know they live somewhere up in Ohio or Michigan or something, but when my father disappeared from my life, so did they. I don’t feel like I have much in the way of family.”

Oscar shook his head. “That ain’t right. Nobody should be without family.”

“I’m not miserable and lonely all the time, if that’s what you’re suggesting.”

“So what do you do on holidays and stuff?” Xavier asked.

“I—uh, well, I work.”

“You work on holidays?”

She blushed. “Okay, I’m a bit of a workaholic. But the lack of family has nothing to do with it. Science has just always come naturally to me. When I was a kid, I was way more interested in making up my own experiments by myself than I was playing with other kids.”

Xavier chuckled. “Ain’t like either of us has ever been alone. Not for long, anyway. Hell, I’m an only kid, but I was always playin’ with the other kids. Oscar and I been best friends for long as we can remember. He’s always been my brother.”

“An’ when we all grow up, nobody works alone,” Oscar said. “Even Serafine has an assistant to help her out.”

“Even the meals happen together. You’ve seen it. That wasn’t a special occasion. That’s just a regular night.”

“I guess that’s something I’ll have to work on getting used to if—” Adele stopped, unsure she wanted to finish the sentence.

Oscar raised his eyebrows. “If?”

Adele blushed. “You know. If—if things seem to continue along the path they seem to be going.”

“And what do you mean by that?” Xavier asked.

“You know. If I become your mate.”

Xavier opened his mouth, but Oscar shot him a look, and he quickly closed it. Adele hurried to explain to keep things from getting awkward.

“I mean, it would just be a big adjustment. I’ve been alone for so long…”

Oscar looked genuinely worried. “Does that make you less interested in bein’ our mate?”

“Oh, no, not at all. I mean—I mean, I basically grew up with a tiny family. No siblings, no dad, none of that. My mom was wonderful, but it was just the two of us, and sometimes, I would get really jealous of my friends who had big families. Heck, I’d get jealous of friends who had just one sibling. But what I really wanted was to have one of those big families that filled the entire house during special occasions.”

“You can have that, you know,” Xavier said, taking her hand. “You can have all that and more. Hell, maybe we can have kids of our own someday.”

Adele dropped her gaze. “I already told you I couldn’t have children.”

Oscar took her hand. “And Serafine said that things change when you shift.”

“Even—even if I do decide to become your mate, I don’t want to get my hopes up. I’d hate for the two of you to resent me if I was never able to have kids.”

Xavier lifted Adele’s chin up and looked her straight in the eye. “There ain’t no way you could ever disappoint us. You’re our mate, no matter what.”

Adele gave a small smile. “Really?”

“Really.”

Adele’s cell phone alarm started buzzing, signaling that she only had ten minutes to get to her department meeting. It almost hurt to pull her hand from Xavier’s, but she knew she couldn’t linger. Leaning forward, she gave each of them a deep kiss.

“I hate to break this up, but I have to go. But I’ll be thinking about you both.”

“We’ll think ’bout you, too, baby,” Oscar said.

Xavier grinned. “And if we’re lucky, we’ll get to dream ’bout you, too.”

Chapter Six

One week later

Most of the congregation, except those who had to watch young children, went into the city the night before the rescue mission. They had all checked into rooms at a nondescript hotel that was to serve as their home base for the mission.

As soon as Xavier and Oscar checked into their room and set down their bags, Xavier flopped down on the bed, looking pensive.

“This hotel room is pretty decent,” he said. “But there’s somethin’ about it that ain’t quite right. Somethin’ is missing.”

Oscar grinned. “You’re saying we should call Adele and ask her to come over.”

“Yeah, that sounds ’bout right. I think the presence of a beautiful woman would do wonders for this place.”

Oscar had surveyed their room and noted that the two double beds weren’t really suited for three people.

“I think we’d have a space issue if we invited her over here,” he said. “Besides, ain’t you interested in seein’ where she lives?”

Xavier laughed. “You got the right idea, man.”

Oscar pulled out his phone and dialed Adele’s number.

“Oscar? How are you?”

“I’m doin’ fine, baby. How ’bout yourself?”

She giggled. “I’m doing well, thanks. Is everyone settled in to their hotel room okay?”

“Yeah, but Xavier and I were thinkin’ that we weren’t quite ready to settle in for the night yet. You busy right now?”

“Between seeing you and grading lab reports, I don’t need to think about it. I live at 7929 Zimpel, apartment 228.”

“See you in a few minutes, baby.”

“I can’t wait.

Oscar nodded to Xavier, and they hurried out of the hotel and grabbed a cab, giving directions to Adele’s apartment.

By the time they arrived at her apartment, Oscar’s cock was already beginning to flutter to life in anticipation. The few seconds it took for her voice to sound over the intercom seemed an eternity.

Finally, Adele’s voice came through with static. “Hello?”

“It’s us, baby,” Oscar said.

“Come on up. I’ve been ready and waiting ever since you hung up the phone.” The speaker disconnected, and a buzz droned, indicating that they could open the door. Oscar couldn’t help but run up the stairs. He was too excited to see her again. He was sure Xavier felt the same way, based on the fact that his friend was right at his heels.

When Oscar knocked, Adele called out, “It’s open,” but she didn’t come to the door. Oscar gave Xavier a questioning look, and then carefully opened the door, taking care to lock it behind him. Adele was nowhere in sight.

“Baby? Where y’at?”

“I’m in the bedroom.”

Oscar and Xavier hurried through the hall to find Adele completely naked, sprawled out on her bed. Oscar found that he couldn’t move as he took in her exquisite body. Her skin was flawless, and her curves were perfectly proportioned to the rest of her. As much as he wanted to run his hands all over her body, he couldn’t help but simply stand and admire, amazed that he’d gotten so lucky.

“Well, what are you waiting for?” she asked with a mischievous grin. “Unless you just want to stand there and watch, that is.”

“No way, baby,” Oscar said as he tore off his shirt and hurried out of his jeans. His cock bobbed as he stepped out of his boxers and bounded toward the bed, Xavier not far behind.

“So what you wanna do, baby?” Oscar asked, immediately parting her smooth, shapely thighs and running her fingertips around her flawless flesh.

“Fuck,” she gasped. “You can keep doing that, for starters.”

“What about me?” Xavier asked. “Want me to play with your tits, like this?” He pinched both nipples and began twisting them, slowly at first, and then harder.

“Yes,” she moaned. “Fuck, that’s amazing.”

“I have to taste your pussy again,” Oscar said, feeling his cock surge even harder at the thought of savoring her sweet taste.

He slipped his face between her thighs and slowly brought the tip of his tongue up her swollen slit, savoring the texture of her skin before delving his tongue to her clit. Focusing on the tender bead, he alternated between broad, flat strokes and quick flicks. As her legs began to jerk with stimulation, he slid two fingers into her wet cunt, locating her G-spot with ease. He pressed against it, holding the pressure steady as he continued to work her clit with his tongue. Lifting his eyes, he saw that Xavier continued to pinch and pull her nipples. Adele was jerking even harder now, her body getting lost to the sparks of pleasure they were giving her. Oscar started rubbing her G-spot at a furious pace, and suddenly, the jerking stopped. In one swift motion, Adele’s body froze, and then she started moaning as the orgasm released through her muscles.

“You’re both amazing.” She groaned as she came back to earth. “That was incredible.”

“And we’re just getting started, baby,” Xavier said.

Oscar moved out of the way to make room for his friend. Xavier settled himself between Adele’s legs and plunged himself into her cunt in one swift motion. She groaned, and Oscar’s cock throbbed even harder. Seeing her writhe as his best friend began to slide his cock in and out of her, knowing that the two of them working together could give her more bliss than they could ever have done alone, made him even hornier.

With his cock growing more and more insistent as he watched Adele squirm beneath Xavier’s thrusting body, Oscar couldn’t help but begin to work his own body. He wrapped his hand tight around his cock and began to thrust. He went slowly at first, but his body was unwilling to wait, to stay behind the frantic pace that Xavier was using on Adele.

“No,” Adele gasped, pulling Oscar’s hand away from his aching shaft. “You come inside me. You’re never going to last at that rate.”

“I can’t help it,” he groaned. “I’m too horny. You have no idea what this is like for me.”

Adele eased the tip of her finger around the smooth head of Oscar’s cock.

“You will wait,” she said.

Oscar closed his eyes for a moment, trying to rein his body in. Adele continued to stroke her fingers up and down his cock and Xavier fucked her, his pace increasing moment to moment. When he knew he had control over himself, he looked down at her again, watched as she bucked and shuddered with pleasure.

He saw the orgasm build in her face and catch in her breath, but he wasn’t expecting her to grip his shaft as her body seized up and she screamed. He almost lost control from the sudden change in pressure, the cum pounding inside him, desperate to be released. But Oscar managed to hold back, knowing he didn’t have much longer before he got to be inside of her.

“Oh, God, Adele,” Xavier moaned. His body froze for a moment, and then he collapsed on top of her, gasping.

Adele didn’t seem the least bit exhausted by her two orgasms. When Xavier rolled away, she pushed to her knees and placed a line of kisses up Oscar’s neck, then nibbled on his ear.

“Can I ride you again?” she whispered. “Please say yes.”
