Sage closed her eyes and the corner of her mouth quirked up. Her nostrils flared as she listened to his voice.
“Now picture your bear inside of you. See her fur blowing in the wind, running as fast as you can.”
Brody watched as Sage’s body contorted. Falling to the ground, Sage groaned from the pain as she shifted into a brown bear. She was beautiful. Staring down at herself, she picked her paw up and examined it.
Shifting, Brody stood beside her and rubbed himself on her. Marking her with his scent while Sage stood still, enjoying the moment.
Brody nudged her his head, urging her to move. She did so and started walking through the woods. He knew she needed to get rid of some energy before she got out of control with anxiety. Picking up his speed, Brody glanced back to find his mate smiling and running after him. Her fur glistened as they ran in the moonlight. Tonight was a magical night and he hated thinking about what was to come. He only hoped that tonight wouldn’t be their last.
