Landon eyed Rod’s balls. They were tight, big, and hairy. He wanted to push them out of the way so he could see Rod’s hole easier. Or better yet, fill his mouth with them, but instead he pumped his hand up and down his dick. Rod pulled the dildo almost all the way out before pushing it back in again. He rocked as he went, easily holding his legs up so Landon could see his pretty hole.

“I’m flexible. I could do this all night.”

That sounded perfect to him. “My name. I didn’t hear you say my name.” It was fucked that he wanted to hear his name on Rod’s lips so badly.

“Landon…” Rod kept fucking himself, kept gyrating his hips. “Landon…yes. So goddamned good.”

Landon squeezed his dick tighter, stroked faster. “You’re so fucking gorgeous, your hole all stretched out for my dick.” He wanted it to be him. As much as he enjoyed the show, he’d rather be the one pounding into Rod.

His eyes tried to drift closed but Landon popped them open again. There was no way he was going to miss this. He wanted to fuck Rod, fuck him long and hard. Fuck him deep. Fuck him all night until he got him out of his system. Maybe that’s what they needed to do. Rod could be right. They just needed to get this shit over with, and then they could continue being friends. But then…what if they were wrong? What if it screwed everything up?

“I’m losing you. Why am I losing you, Land?”

Rod’s words jerked him out of his thoughts. “You’re not,” he lied. “Look at that hole. You have such a sexy ass.” It was made for fucking.

“Love having it full.” Rod picked up the speed.

“Can you come like that? Just from anal stimulation?”

“Yeah.”

“Do it. Let me see you come all over your stomach just from fucking that pretty hole. I’ll jerk myself off, wishing I was buried in you.”

“You could be,” Rod said, and then his eyes went down to Landon’s prick.

You could be…
He could, but something was holding him back. This was different, he told himself. They could do this instead, but in some ways it was different and in others it was the same.

He stroked faster, played with his balls with his other hand, the whole time watching that dildo slide in and out of Rod’s tight ass and pretending he was buried balls fucking deep. “Rod…” he said, feeling his orgasm creeping up on him. Balls tightened more. He strained, fought off coming because he wanted this to last.

“Again, say my name again.”

“Rod.” Landon let his name pass his lips, then again, and again, and again.

“Oh fuck, Landon. Fuck, right there. Right fucking there.” Rod’s dick jerked, flexed against his stomach as he shot his load. It flew up his chest, ran down his abs, and damned if Landon didn’t want to eat it.

Landon saw stars. His balls let loose, the first jet shooting from his cock and running between his fingers. He kept jerking off, kept coming, kept rubbing the thick cream through his fingers until he was milked dry.

His fucking bones melted. He wanted to collapse on the bed and never get up.

He looked over and saw Rod staring at him, the damn dildo still lodged deep in his ass.

Jesus. What the fuck had he done? “Shit. I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have barged in like that.”

“I didn’t complain, and if you apologize to me again for that, I’m going to kick your ass. We watched each other masturbate. That’s it. Something was bound to happen anyway.”

Landon nodded. Rod was right. He knew he was right.
I want your friendship. I don’t want to lose it. I don’t want this to fuck everything up.

Landon leaned toward the table to grab a tissue to clean up the mess when Rod reached out and grabbed his wrist, pulling Landon’s fingers to his mouth…and Landon let him. He watched him as Rod licked the come from his hand, and between his fingers. And then, damned if he wasn’t leaning over, licking the thick, bitter fluid from Rod’s chest, tasting him, fucking feasting on him, savoring the heat of his flesh and the muscles beneath his skin. His prick twitched, teased with the idea of getting hard again, but it didn’t happen.

Neither of them spoke for a minute. It was so different being with someone he knew, someone he considered a friend, other than Beck, and they’d fucked before they’d become close. Landon didn’t trust himself. He’d seen what being in love had done to his parents. Seen the back and forth, how they both tried to hurt each other, both tried to one up each other. He didn’t want that. Ever.

“I should…I should go to bed.”

“Okay,” Rod replied.

Landon stood, walked to the door and stopped. “Do you want me to turn out the light?”

“Nah, I should probably do something with the cock hanging out of my ass first.”

Fuck. No shit. What was he thinking? He was acting like a green-behind-the-ears virgin. “Makes sense. Coming screws with my brain.” Jesus. What was he saying? He needed to shut the hell up. “I’ll see you tomorrow. Good night.” And then before he could do anything else stupid, Landon walked out of the room and closed the door. He hoped like hell he hadn’t just made the biggest mistake of his life.

CHAPTER THIRTEEN

Rod wanted to fucking kill Landon.

There was more than one reason too. At least he had a good motive. It wasn’t as though he’d snap in the heat of the moment and kill without proper cause. The first reason being the fact that he couldn’t get the man out of his goddamned head.

Jesus Christ he had a pretty cock—thick and long and full of veins that he wanted to taste. He would trace each of them with his tongue, suck the mushroom head into his mouth until he drove Landon as crazy as he’d been the past week and a half.

Yep, that was right. It had been a fucking week and a half since he’d seen Landon, and that was his second good reason for wanting to strangle him. What were they? Eighteen? Embarrassed and shy because they’d masturbated together like they weren’t two grown-ass men who both enjoyed sex and were both one hundred percent okay with enjoying it with other men?

He didn’t fucking get it. Had he done or said something that made Landon think he wanted to live the American dream with him? Maybe get married, adopt a few kids and join the damned PTA? Nope. That wasn’t what he was after. He wanted sex. Wanted sex with Landon. And Landon wanted it with him. He wasn’t dumb enough not to see that now. He also wasn’t dense enough to think that it would ever be more than that even if he wanted it to…which was why he didn’t. See? Landon was avoiding him for nothing, and keeping them both from having the sex they both wanted.

Rod crossed his arms. He’d been right all along. The man was a sadist.

“Sir? My boyfriend said you carried Easy Ride? I don’t see it on the shelf,” a young guy with blue hair said to him.

“Don’t get him Easy Ride. Men who like Easy Ride are assholes. Buy another lube just to spite him.”

“Excuse me?” The guy’s brows pulled together. They were blond, not blue.

“Never mind. It’s in the back. I’ll go get some for you.” Obviously he didn’t have to worry about being a dickhead to Landon by making him think he didn’t carry his favorite lube, since it didn’t look like he’d ever see Landon again.

Rod went to the back and grabbed a bottle of Easy Ride before heading to the front of the store again. As he rang the customer up, Blue Hair asked, “Guy problems?”

“No. In the last thirty seconds I decided I never want to see him again anyway. If he can’t admit he wants me, then I definitely don’t want him.” It was sex for God’s sake. Why was Landon being so ridiculous about this?

Blue laughed. Rod didn’t see what was so funny about the situation.

After paying he said, “Glad I don’t have to deal with that shit. Good luck, dude,” before heading for the door and it took everything Rod had in him not to throw something at his head.

If Landon was done with him, he’d just go out and find someone else who wanted to spend a night with him. If there was one thing Rod had never struggled with, it was finding a guy who wanted to fuck him senseless for just one night.

***

“Someone run over your dog?”

Landon looked up at Bryce. What the fuck kind of question was that? “Huh?”

“Your dog. Someone run him over? You’ve been mopey lately.”

Landon set down his wrench and looked at Bryce. “Do you know me well enough to be able to tell when I’m mopey?”

“Are you mopey?”

Yeah. Yeah, he was.

Without Landon answering, he said, “See? Obviously I do. Nick has me all in touch with my emotions now. It’s fucking weird. I’m here, if you want to talk. Or we can just work on bikes and drink a beer sometime, which will probably help more than talking would.”

Landon couldn’t help but chuckle. It felt good to laugh. He’d been a surly bastard the past two weeks and he knew it. He was also being fucking weak, maybe a little immature, and definitely ridiculous, but he ignored those thoughts.

“Sure, working on bikes and having a beer sounds good sometime.” It wouldn’t hurt for him to meet more friends. Rod was the only person he’d spent any time with outside of his family since he moved back. Considering he only saw his family when he was at his house, that made it even sadder.

Bryce kneeled down beside him and looked at the bike. He ran his finger over the rear fender and then turned to Landon. “Looks good. Nick and I are having a barbeque this Sunday. I’m running the grill and Nick’s making the rest of the food. He’s a chef. He makes potatoes that are so fucking good they get me hard.”

Landon’s eyes darted to Bryce at that. He couldn’t help but crack a smile. Bryce just shrugged his shoulders like it was no big deal.

See? He could make friends other than Rod. He wasn’t a total asshole.

“And Rod’s coming, I think. You two can probably ride together.”

And here he was being weak, immature and ridiculous again because Landon opened his mouth and said, “I forgot, I have to help my sister with something on Sunday.”

He didn’t know what in the hell was wrong with him. He’d never actively avoided someone he’d screwed around with before. Most of the time, it had never been a problem. They were random hook-ups or people looking for the same thing as him. If they changed their tune on that, he still didn’t actively avoid them. He couldn’t control how other people felt, yet it was different with Rod, and he couldn’t put his finger on why.

The fact that he actually missed Rod was different for Landon as well.

CHAPTER FOURTEEN

“Why did I never think of working at a sex-toy store? That literally sounds like the best job in the world. Bryce, will you take me? I’ve never been to an adult store!” Bryce’s best friend Christi batted her eyes at him.

“That look doesn’t work with me, Chris. You’re going to have to find someone else,” Bryce replied to her, and she crossed her arms to pout.

“Are they always like this?” Rod asked Nick. He couldn’t believe this was the first time he’d met Bryce’s friend. He’d heard a lot about her, though.

“Always,” Nick replied.

“Oh, you love it. I take him off your hands sometimes. I could always ask you instead, hot live-in boyfriend Nick.”

Nick laughed.

Bryce growled at her.

Rod smiled. “I like her!” Then to Christi he said, “He is hot, isn’t he? I thought I hit the jackpot when they came in, but then they started looking at each other with googly eyes, and I knew they wouldn’t be up for a third. I’ve tried to get them to let me watch, but no luck.”

“Can you two stop?” Nick said.

At the same time, Bryce added, “I asked Nick. He said he’s thinking about it.”

Both Rod and Christi’s eyes bugged out of their head as they looked at Nick and Bryce. Nick started choking on his beer and Bryce slapped him on the back as he cracked up laughing.

“What about me?” Christi asked as Rod said, “Don’t tease me like that! I’m going through a dry spell and I hate it.”

He knew Bryce had been giving them shit. He was way too possessive over Nick for something like that, and Rod only teased as well. Yes, they were both beautiful men, but they were the best friends he had. Pretty much the only real friends he had. He’d thought Landon would become that as well, but obviously not.

Jesus. Was he thinking about Landon again?

“No luck with Landon, huh?” Bryce asked.

He’d had a little bit of luck with Landon. Not nearly enough, but as much as he teased, he also wasn’t going to tell anyone his and Landon’s personal business.

Rod shrugged. “I’m over that. He’s not really my type. We don’t talk much anymore.”

Rod wasn’t sure why, but his eyes were drawn to Nick. He looked at him intensely, deeply, like he could tell Rod was lying, and thought if he looked hard enough he’d be able to tell why.

The thing was, Rod had never had a problem with people coming in and out of his life. Most people came in and left soon afterward. He didn’t typically get close to anyone and that worked fine with him. Like he said, Nick and Bryce were his only real friends, and that wasn’t a new thing for him.

But this thing with Landon…he couldn’t get the fucker out of his head and it was pissing him off. Maybe it was because he was in a dry spell. Hell, he hadn’t even gone home with anyone when he went out the other night. Or maybe it was because Landon obviously got hard for him, but held himself back with talk about friendship and stuff that Rod had known would never last anyway. And obviously he’d been right.
