“Look,” Dom sighed,” that lowlife vampire
drank enough of you, either to kill you, or to turn you into that
nothing that he was.”

/’So this is what that creature was!’/ I
figure this out myself. The thought of that creature makes me
drool, like when I’m hungry and I have to face a savory dish. But
my mouth is filled with so much water, that it begins to run my
lips apart, without my control.

“What is happening to me?” I cry, splashing
the air around me with abundant saliva.

After a few moments of burial silence, Kyrya
tells me.

“I'm sorry, Patricia, so sorry, but we had no
choice. We could not sit and watch you die or how you turn into
something worse than if you died. So...”

“So?” I urge her to continue, already
foreseeing what was to follow.

“So we had to make you one of us.” she
said.”A huntress.”

When I get closer to him, he does not make
any move to further resist. He is on his knees. One can hardly
imagine a higher satisfaction than the one that I feel right now,
when I see him on his knees at my feet, pleading, and begging for
mercy. Mercy I don't have. I stitch my claws through both his
temples and I twist his head in one single movement, as suddenly as
I moved up until now. I have already eaten a vampire’s heart. It is
enough. My hunger is relieved for now. Not the thirst to destroy
these creatures. Not my hate against them. The other heart, I'll
take to Nikos. And the vampire’s head. I twist his head a little
higher, pulling it upwards. Then, I suddenly jerk it, and I remain
with his head in my hands. He had not even had the chance to close
his eyes.

The rest of his body falls slowly to the
floor. Then, it turns, as the other two, into ashes. I take his
heart in one hand, and his head in another. I open one of the
windows of the toilet, and I look down. It's about 20 meters
distance. I make a jump.

I get lost in the darkness of the night,
carrying with me trophies…
