The next morning, Sienna rolled over and discovered that Logan was still in her bed. He had
never stayed the entire night before and she smiled to herself. It was nice waking up with someone
lying beside you; especially when that someone was naked, hunky, and well-endowed, Sienna
thought with a wicked grin.

Rolling out of bed, she pulled on a robe and went to the kitchen to make some breakfast. As she
cracked eggs into a bowl, she heard the front door open and close.

“Hello?” she called out.

Robert strolled through and grinned at her. “Hey. I haven’t seen you lately so I thought I’d drop
in and check on you.”

“That was sweet of you.”

He eyed her robe, realizing that she didn’t have anything on under it. Just what had his friend
been up to lately? Before he could ask, he heard a voice from across the room.

“Good morning,” Logan said, stepping into the living room. Thankfully he had pulled on his
boxers and pants since it seemed Sienna had company.

“Morning,” Sienna said with a smile.

“Good morning,” Robert said, now understanding why Sienna was naked under her robe. He had
clearly interrupted something. “I was just stopping by to say hello.”

“It’s nice that Sienna has someone to check in on her,” Logan responded.

Robert nodded. “Well, I’ll let you two enjoy your morning together.”

“Thanks, Robert,” Sienna said. “I’ll call you later.”

He nodded and let himself out.

Once Robert was gone, Logan propped a hip against the counter, crossed his arms over his chest,
and watched Sienna. “So, does he stop over often?”

“Robert? Oh… he used to come over all the time, but lately I just see him once a week.”

“And he has a key to your place?”

“Well, yeah. I have one to his too,” she said.

“Have the two of you dated?”

“Are you jealous?” she asked, incredulous.

He shrugged. “I just like to know who my competition is.”

“You don’t have any competition,” she said, walking over to him. Wrapping her arms around his
waist, she kissed his chest.

Logan wrapped his arms around her, hugging her. “I’m sorry I was jealous. I just don’t like the
thought of that guy coming and going from here as he pleases.”

“It would be rude of me to ask for the key back, Logan. Surely you understand that.”

He sighed. “I guess I do, but I don’t have to like it.”

A few days later

Logan had gotten into the habit of sleeping over at Sienna’s. He decided to take the night off and
stay home alone. There was a lot he needed to think about, things that he needed to sort through,
emotions to analyze.

He had never been jealous over a woman before. He knew that Sienna was different from the
other women he’d been with, but
how
different? The thought of her wearing his ring for real made
him feel at peace. He could honestly see himself waking up next to her every morning. The thought
of her carrying his child made him happy.

Maybe the way to get Sienna to accept a real marriage proposal was just tell her the truth… that
he loved her. Logan had never been in love before and the emotions swirling through him were
frightening and a little overwhelming. He could only hope that Sienna felt the same way about him.

Grabbing his keys, he decided to stop by her house after all. It was time for them to have a talk.

Pulling up in front of her house, he turned the car off and got out. The lights were still on so he
knew she was awake. Walking up to the front door, he rang the bell.

“Who is it?” Sienna asked through the door. It was too dark outside to see through the peephole
very well.

“It’s Logan,” he answered.

Surprised, Sienna opened the door and let him in.

“I thought you had something to do tonight and couldn’t come by?” she asked.

He nodded. “I did, but I finished early and wanted to see you.”

She smiled and hugged him. “I’m glad you were able to come by.”

“Me too,” he answered with a smile.

Following her into the living room, he sat next to her on the sofa. Turning to face her, he
brushed his fingers across her cheek. Even without make-up she was breathtaking.

“Sienna, I didn’t have somewhere to be so much as I needed some time to think through some
things,” he told her, getting right to the point.

“Oh?” she asked, suddenly a little uneasy. Was he changing his mind about the baby? About her?

He nodded. “I did a lot of thinking tonight and what I realized is that I want our engagement to
be a real one. I don’t want to pretend anymore.”

This wasn’t the direction she had expected the conversation to take. It surprised her for a
moment, but she recovered quickly.

“If this is about the baby, I already told you…”

He silenced her with a gentle kiss. “This isn’t about the baby. This is about us.”

“Us?”

“You aren’t making this easy.”

“Sorry,” she said with a blush. She wasn’t trying to be difficult; it just seemed to come natural to
her.

“I love you, Sienna. I love you and want our engagement to be a real one because I want to
marry you. I love waking up next to you in the morning, making love to you, hearing you laugh… I
love everything about you, Sienna.”

Sienna gazed at him through watery eyes and gave him a tremulous smile. “I love you, too.”

“So you’ll marry me for real?”

She nodded. “Of course I will. I would love nothing more than to be your wife.”

Kissing his future wife, Logan felt happier than he ever had before. No matter what it took, he
would make sure that she never regretted her decision. His wife and child would never want for
anything.

Against her lips he murmured, “Want to go to the bedroom?”

She smiled and looped her arms around his neck. “I’m ready when you are.”

Logan picked her up and carried her through the bedroom door. Kicking it shut behind him, he
started the first of many celebrations.
