I nodded and tried not to ask him if he was married or had a girlfriend but the question popped from my mouth before I could stop it. He grinned at me, flashing a hidden dimple. "I didn't have anyone in my life until I woke up with this gorgeous fairy asleep on me this morning." He stood up and stretched and I blushed as my eyes wandered down the length of him to his thick cock. Good grief, how had that monster fit inside me?

He chuckled lightly at my expression and reached his hands to me, helping me up. He took my suggestion to use my jacket as a wrap around his body so he didn't freeze off the protruding parts. He stepped outside the walled fortress that had been our little love den, and I sent the tree back to its dormancy deep in the ground. After I let the moss return to its hibernation, I sheathed my wings in my back and dressed quickly. I didn't want to freeze any part of myself, either. Lynk grabbed my bow and knapsack and we walked at a quick pace back to my cabin.

On the way, we traded questions about our lives and I found out that he was one of six siblings to the king and queen bear of his den, which was a couple hours northeast. I wasn't really ready to tell him my whole story, so I thought to only share certain parts. I told him I was an only child, that my father had been killed in a battle between the Seelie and Unseelie courts just days before I was born, and that my mother had been killed by a Grentil beast when I was 15. "Friends of my mother took me in and when I turned 18, my uncle and I had a falling out and eventually I was banished here to the mortal world. That was almost a year ago." Fairies had long-life, which weres did, too. As supernatural creatures, we aged one body year for every twelve years that passed. Lynk was 18 plus 8.

"What sort of falling out?"

"At 18, I was old enough to take part in the court for my family line. My uncle is a Tannia by marriage, not birthright, so I should have taken his place. He tried to have me killed, but another girl who looked similar to me died in my place. The council decided I was too much trouble and chose to banish me rather than try to go against him because he was so powerful." He'd gained his power through intimidation, blackmail, fraud, and all around treachery.

"That's terrible. I had no idea about any of the fairy stuff you're talking about. It sounds like it's not a very forgiving place."

"No, its not. It's wonderful in many ways, but it's also very harsh. The Seelie Courts, the ones that people know as the good fairies, are politically minded and often corrupt. But the Unseelie Courts are the ones that cause the most trouble, start wars and such. I was blessed to be part of the Seelies, but unblessed to be betrayed."

"What happened to your aunt, who married your uncle?"

"She died shortly after my mother. I really think he had something to do with both deaths, but there was just only my suspicion. By the time I was old enough to make my voice heard to the council, he had wormed his way into his own sort of power and I couldn't go against him." I paused and he turned and looked down at me. I was fairly short and he was at least six foot, but there was something about him that seemed just perfect.

"Is something wrong, Shaylee?"

"No, I just, I wasn't going to tell you my life story because I don't know you, but I just pretty much did."

He bent slightly and kissed me. "Let's get somewhere warm and then we can talk, alright?"

"Sounds good." Even though talking wasn't even remotely on the list of things I wanted to do with him.

We finished the walk to my cabin as fast as possible and both sighed in relief as we walked inside the warm house. I headed for the wood burning stove to add more wood to it, but he grabbed my hand. "Hot shower sounds better, don't you think, lilenta?"

Goosebumps shivered over my skin. "What does lilenta mean?"

"Sweetheart."

Warmth skated through me, and for the first time since my mother died, I felt like someone really cared about me. It both scared me and thrilled me. I already liked Lynk and the longer I spent with him, the more likely those light, early feelings would turn to much more than that.

The worry that plagued my mind immediately after telling him about my uncle was that I wasn't sure if I was completely out of danger in that regard. Just because my uncle hadn't sent for me in the last ten months, hadn't sent any assassins to take me out either, didn't mean that eventually he wouldn't remember where I was and decide to have me killed. Or, perhaps, there was always the possibility that I might be called back to take over my rightful place in court and Lynk wouldn't be welcome there. Weres were right up there with humans in the fairy way of thinking, not at all interesting and usually stupid. I didn't agree with that at all. The humans I'd met since my banishment were kind and friendly. Fairies were just snobs.

I shook free my thoughts of my past catching up to me and Lynk caught in the crosshairs, and concentrated on the gorgeous man leading me back to the bathroom. He pulled my top off quickly and met my mouth with his own in a hungry, seeking kiss. All rational thought went flying out of my mind as I managed to turn on the water without breaking our kiss. We kissed and touched until we were clean and the water began to cool. Picking me up in his arms, he stepped over the edge of the tub and put me on my feet in front of the sink. He bent me over the counter with gentle pressure on my shoulder and thrust into me, trailing kisses across my back as he drove us both to ecstasy. By the time we came down from orbit, we were mostly dry and deliciously tired.

As he carried me into the bedroom, I remembered that he wanted to call his family. I reminded him, and he laid me down on the bed and took my cell from the side table. I scrambled under the thick mound of covers and he joined me, talking quickly to his father and explaining that he met someone and lost track of time.

“I’ll be bringing her home for dinner tonight, Dad. I don’t know, later on this afternoon I suppose. Okay. Tell Mom I’m sorry for worrying her.” He hung up and put the phone on the table and slid next to me.

“Is that your car next to the cabin?” He nipped small kisses down my neck.

“Yes.” I hissed as he moved across my shoulder slowly.

“I want you to meet my family, Shaylee, so I’d like to take you home to my den tonight. We can have dinner with them, and we can stay in my tent.”

“Tent?” I let out a slow moan as he swirled his tongue around one nipple before tugging it between his teeth.

“Yeah, the den is underground and everyone has a tent. I share my tent with my brother Tavian, but he can sleep somewhere else tonight.”

He lavished the same attention to my other nipple and I ran my fingers through his hair until he slid down my stomach under the blanket and parted my legs. I couldn’t see him, but it took only a moment before I felt his thumbs part my wet pussy and his tongue slowly stroke against me. I moaned and arched myself against him.

"Lynk," I moaned, pushing at the blankets so I could see him. He moved his hand up and pushed the blankets past his own shoulders, giving me a lovely view of his mouth pressed to my mound.

Hooking one of my legs over his shoulder, I felt his fingers press inside me while he suckled my clit, laving the tender bud with firm strokes of his hot tongue. His fingers curved inside me, swiveling and searching, until I groaned when he found that deep, soft as satin place. My belly clenched and my body quaked as my honey leaked around his fingers. The orgasm crashed down on me and I shattered the silence of the cabin with a loud moan of his name as I sat up and shoved him onto his back. He chuckled at my excitement, his eyes glittering, and I straddled his waist and gripped his thick cock in my hand and guided him inside. I wriggled down on him until he was deep enough inside me that I felt as if I should be able to taste him, and my groan matched his. Planting his hands on my hips, I leaned forward slightly and braced my hands on his chest and began to shift my hips up and down on him, wanting to drive him to pleasure as fast as possible.

I rode him as hard as I could, our bodies slamming together again and again in the sweet music of our lovemaking and I never wanted it to end. If I was a darker woman, I would bind him to the bed and keep him with me forever. "Ah, Shaylee," he groaned, "I'm going to come."

"Please, Lynk, come!" I gripped his hands on my hips and thrust myself down on him, throwing my head back and enjoying the complete freedom that came from our uninhibited play. He dug his fingers into my flesh and held me still as he let out a strangled cry and pumped up inside me, his cock spasming over and over. His thumb landed on my tender clit and began to rub fast circles on the tight bud and I wiggled and tried to get away. "Too much!" I protested, but his hand was clamped on my hip and held me immobile.

"Never too much, lilenta. Come again, come for me." He purred with a low tone and I let myself go into the sensations of his calloused thumb deviling my clit until my world split apart and I let the waves of pleasure take me. Dropping to his chest with an exhausted groan, completely sated and unable to move any further, I shivered a few times and he chuckled, kissing the top of my head.

"You are incredible, Shaylee Tannia. I'm so very glad you saved my life."

I murmured that I was happy I'd found him, too, but it came out more like "mmmmmmm". He moved us both around the bed, pulling me back onto his chest and tucking the covers around us.

"Will you stay with me, angel mine?" He whispered softly.

"Yes," I hissed and the word slid away, as darkness took over and I drifted off, well loved and blissfully happy.

Chapter 3

In a box in the tiny attic of the cabin, I found men's clothes for Lynk to wear since he had none. Although they were old and musty smelling, they fit and would keep him warm until he could get home. Lynk sat in the driver's seat of my small car and I sat in the passenger seat, watching the cabin slip into the distance as he headed towards his den. I hadn't driven the car any further than the small town near the cabin. I didn't consider myself much of an explorer, except on foot when I went out to enjoy nature. Once we passed by the small town of Carriage Place, nothing looked familiar. It was exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time.

He clicked off the radio and said, "You said that the only way to get back to your fairy world would be to go through a portal. Does that mean that you can't go home?"

"I was banished."

"Yes, but could you go home if you wanted to?" He pressed.

"If I found a portal, I suppose I could go home, but I'd be asking to be imprisoned for returning when I was banished. Or killed outright. Why?"

He darted a quick look to me. "I just wondered if you had hopes to go home."

"There isn't really anything there for me anymore."

He switched topics slightly. "How different is your world from ours?"

"Pretty different," I laughed, remembering how out of place my clothing had been. I'd come through the portal wearing a gauzy green gown. "A lot is similar. Our people come back and forth through portals all the time, that's where you get the fables about magical fairies. The only thing I didn't have that I really needed was money. Our kind trade in gemstones, unless you're a lower caste of fairy and then they trade services for what they need."

"How did you get money?"

"When I got here, I went into something called the post office, and a very nice older woman told me I could sell my gems at the jewelry store and use the money to buy clothes. The jewelry store owner gave me money and also took a few of the gems in exchange for letting me use her husband's hunting cabin. It was just sitting empty since he passed away. She also gave me this car to use. She's been very helpful since I've been here on my own."

He frowned slightly. "You've just been here by yourself all this time?"

"I didn't know what to do with myself. I watch TV and read. There's a very nice library in town and the librarian is friendly. But when the weather got cold, I didn't like to be out in it so much, so although I hunt sometimes, mostly I have been by myself. Is that...is that bad?"

He reached for my hand and kissed the top of it. Setting it on his lap, he held it firmly and cast a smile at me. "No, lilenta, of course not. I'm just sorry you were alone for so long."

"It wasn't so bad." I assured him.

"Well, the den is anything but quiet and lonely. This is the first time that I can remember that I woke up on my own without someone's noises outside in the den waking me up first. Of course, I was also really, really worn out."

"Well, you almost died."

He chuckled, "That's not why I was worn out."

"Oh."
Oh
. I blushed and he laughed a little harder, squeezing my smaller hand in his large one.

As we drove, he told me about his life in the den. Some bears didn't like the den-life, like his brothers Ash and Axe. They had a tent they shared with their wife Elizabeth in the den, but their main home was outside on the property owned by the den. He and his brother Tavian were the last two children living with their parents. Their brother Griegs had disappeared after not being chosen by Elizabeth's powerful spell to bind herself to a bear as a guardian. They had not heard from him since that day, almost two years ago. Their youngest sister Daeton had been the object of an evil wizard's plan, and Elizabeth had saved her life by finding the mole in the den and then taking her to guards who would protect her. They'd not heard from her, either.
