The rest of the week was blissful. We woke up together, rode to work together, and had lunch together—which ended with him fucking me on his desk every time. All week I had breezed through my work with a smile on my face. Clarke couldn’t quite believe the change in me.

“I’ll be damned, my girl. It’s Friday and you’re still smiling.”

I pulled my bag from the back of my chair and began packing away my things. “Well,” I answered Clarke, “the thought of who I get to go home to every night might just be the reason for that.”

Clarke looked on in wonder. “If I knew Mr. Parks would have this effect on you, I would have introduced you months ago.”

“I knew you were fucking,” one of the closeted Johns called over.

Pat gasped, highly offended but his use of language. “John Staples, how dare you make use of such inappropriate language in this office, and towards a woman?”

John recoiled from her scolding. “Keep your hair on. I was only saying.”

“Apologise,” Pat demanded.

There was no reason for John to apologise. I knew what he was like. His mouth was worse than mine. “It’s fine, Pat,” I told her quickly, suppressing my grin. “I’m just waiting for Billy to come back with ‘I’m fucking someone better.’”

John howled along with myself and the other John, and I even heard Clarke snickering, but Pat, being the oldest and hugely stuck-up, was mortified. “I will not hear any more use of this language.”

“I doubt they get better than Mr. Parks, honey bun,” the first John called over, teasing Pat even more.

“Or bigger,” I played along.

“Disgraceful,” Pat uttered, and that made us worse, laughing even harder.

“Oh come on, Pat,” John continued to goad. “Maybe you should go find some nookie; that would lighten you up a bit.”

Clarke gasped from behind me, I hid my face with a sheet of paper, and the other John remained quiet after a gulp. Pat pushed off her desk and pointed a crooked finger at John. “How dare you!” We were all waiting for her to explode, but she surprised us. “My sex life is probably better than yours. I could teach you kids a thing or two,” she added on a smirk.

We all looked at each other and howled with laughter.

I met Parks on the ground floor. He was waiting for me with that spectacular smile he hit me with every day after work. Today, his splendid body was dressed in a grey suit, white dress shirt, and grey tie. When he held up his palm for me to take, I placed my hand in his, only to be pulled into his chest. He kissed me deeply, making my back dip, ignoring the crowds of passing people.

“I’ve missed you,” I breathed when he finally released me.

“Of course you have. Come on, we have a plane to catch.”

“Whoa, what?”

“We’re flying to America, Evelyn. Did you forget?” Parks shook his head, playfully exasperated. He was slowly learning of my insanely forgetful brain.

“Um. I didn’t forget.” Lie. “We’re meeting your parents in America?”

His brow arched, as though he was unsure of my unsettled nerves. “That’s where they live,” he teased. “My mother is holding a charity ball. That’s the main reason we’re going.”

My hand had slipped from his grip, and I was suddenly pushed into slight panic mode. “I’ve just never been on a plane before.”

Parks chuckled and took my hand again to lead me through the lobby. “I gathered that when I checked your passport.”

The only reason I had a passport was because I needed one for photo ID when I turned eighteen or I couldn’t buy alcohol.

“It will be fine, Princess. I have a private jet.”

My jaw dropped. “You have a privet jet?” I rolled my eyes. “Course you do.”

“Come on.”

Cleaver drove us straight to the airport. My leg was bouncing the whole way as I tried to ride out my mixed emotions. I’d never been on a plane, and my first experience was going to be with a private jet. Just another one of those pesky factors that drew my life and Parks’s miles away from each other’s.

“Okay, baby?” He shook my knee, looking for reassurance. I couldn’t give him it.

“No. I’m absolutely shitting myself. I mean, how does the plane actually fly in the air? It’s so big and…” Oh God, I was starting to panic and become ridiculous.

“Calm down, Princess. You’re with me. What’s the worst that can happen?”

My upturned eyebrow gave him the answer to that question. It only made him laugh.

Cleaver opened the door for us. Out climbed Parks, then he dipped to take my hand. I placed my sweating palm in his, stepped out of the car, and saw the plane we were about to board. My breathing became shallow, and I prayed I wasn’t about to have a panic attack.

Parks took me to one side, cupped my cheeks, and gazed into my eyes. “If at any time you don’t want to do this, tell me, and I will take you off that plane.”

“But how will we get to America if I don’t do this?”

“Fuck America. I want you happy.”

“No.” I shook my head in determination. I was being pathetic. “I can do this.”

Staring into to my eyes to make sure I was being honest, he waited, then nodded once and let my cheeks go. Taking firm hold of my hand, he led my wobbly legs to the stairs leading up to the plane. My knees felt like jelly, shaking absurdly as I climbed.

“Good evening, Mr. Parks. Ms. Banks.”

“Evening,” Parks greeted the air hostess, but all I could offer was a weak smile as she checked our passports.
Really?
It’s his damn plane.

“Okay?” he asked again before leading me in.

“Just get me in the goddamn plane before I change my mind.” I had a vision of myself hightailing it down the stairs and never looking at another plane again. But my reactions were unreasonable. How the hell did I know I didn’t like it if I didn’t try?

Tugging on my hand, Parks lead me into the plane. And…wow. My breathing eased as I looked around the inside of the jet. It was sublime. Everything I didn’t expect.

“This is the main lounge.” The main bloody lounge? It was stunning. Cream leather seats, soft white carpets, and a gorgeous mahogany dining table with beautifully arranged roses in a vase that set them off. And the intimate glow from the small side lamps finished off the polished, magnificent room. There was also a large, wall-mounted TV, a bar, obviously containing no alcohol, and two other rooms vacating off the lounge.

“There is also a bathroom, a study, and more importantly, a bedroom.”

I turned to catch his grin. “This is beyond anything I would have imagined.”

He brought his arms around my neck and rubbed his nose along the bridge of mine. “I told you, I will treat you like a princess. Anything less than that is unacceptable.”

“I don’t deserve you.” It was the truth. My deep, dark soul was suddenly coming into the light, and it was all down to one man. He saw my flaws. He saw my imperfection, and still, for some reason, he wanted me.

“That—” he frowned, “—is also unacceptable. You deserve everything, Evelyn.”

We briefly met the pilot, and I asked him a million questions before I let him get back to the cockpit. Then I asked the same million questions to the air hostess. I bet they were all sick of me.

Parks didn’t take any notice when the woman showed us the exit and safety routines, but I did. I soaked up every word like a sponge and asked her to do it once more before we took off.

We took a seat on the plush sofas and quickly got strapped in. The doors closed, the engines roared, and I suddenly felt more panicky than I ever had. My sweaty hand grasped at Parks’s hand tightly, and when the plane began its course down the runway, feeling like we were travelling at the speed of light, I had no choice but to close my eyes. Tight.

Parks stroked my hand with his thumb, but the butterflies still came. Then we started to lift off the ground.

“Oh God. Oh God.” My eyes were closed. My knees bouncing up and down. I felt sick. So sick. How on earth did a piece of metal fly this way?

A few moments later, Parks told me to open my eyes. Hesitating, I cracked one eye open, then the other, and bravely peered out the window.

I gasped. “Oh…wow.” We were surrounded by clear blue skies and flying over a bed of white cloud. My nerves instantly disintegrated. “It’s beautiful.” I had never seen such a wondrous sight. So high and so far away from life. The feeling was liberating, and the moment I saw the beautiful view, I never wanted it to be taken away.

“So beautiful,” Parks gushed, and when I turned to look at him, he was gazing at me instead.

“Ya big softy,” I teased, slapping his thigh playfully.

“Oh, I’m anything but soft, Evelyn.”

My gaze slowly drifted into his lap to see that his length was straining against his trousers. He brought his arm around my shoulders and pulled me in close, nuzzling his face into my neck as he skimmed his other hand between my legs.

“Let’s go fuck,” he breathed coarsely, and the rawness of his words trickled through my veins, making my spine shiver.

“You want to fuck me?” I whispered, watching his parted lips.

Parks pushed open my thighs and cupped my sex over my trousers. “I want to tie your hands and feet to the bed for the next eleven hours and worship your body until you beg me to stop.”

He watched me bite my lip. “Worship my body? Or fuck it?”

“I have eleven hours, Princess. I can do a lot in that time.”

Watching his eyes drifting into a heavy daze, feeling his hand between my thighs, and staring at his full, delicious lips as he spoke dirty to me was making me wet and needy.

“Tell me what you plan to do.”

He circled my clit over my trousers with the fingers of one hand while he trailed his other hand down the exposed skin of my chest, where he’d already undone two buttons on my blouse. “I plan to strip you out of those pretty, tight clothes, lay you down on the bed, and caress your curves. Watch you wriggle under my touch.” He traced the curve of his lips with the tip of his tongue.

“And then?” I breathed.

“I will peel your panties off your sweet body with my teeth, unravel your bra, and expose those perfect tits ready for my lips to wrap around.” Oh Jesus. He was watching the heavy rise and deep fall of my chest. “I’m gonna make you so goddamn wet for me. Make your legs tremble while I set myself between them and lick your temptation.”

“Come take me,” I begged, pulling at his bottom lip with my teeth, caressing the bulge in his trousers with my palm. He picked me up, threw me over his shoulder, and stalked into the bedroom at the back of the plane.

All I got was a glimpse of the mahogany wood and white double bed. Parks tossed me onto the bed, but he stood at the bottom. I was panting, watching him slowly peel of his suit jacket and then undo his buttons on his shirt. One by one he revealed the beauty of his defined body and the treasure line that ran down the perfect
V
of his abdomen.

“You’re perfect,” I gasped as he began to unbuckle his belt and feed it through the loops before throwing it onto the floor. He slid down his trousers and boxers at the same time, giving me a quicker view of his magnificent cock that was all mine.

When he was naked in all his glory, he climbed onto the bed, making me lie down on my back as he hovered over my body. My breath caught, and I let out a slight whimper.

“Let’s get rid of this.” With proficient fingers he began to unbutton my blouse as his darkening green eyes stared into mine. My body was already on fire. Fevered by the want I felt for his body. Lusting after every hard inch of him.

He curled his hands around my shoulders as he slipped my blouse down my arms, then threw it to one side, revealing my red lace bra.

“Hmm.” He groaned. “Just skin on skin. That’s what I want.” His voice was a seductive whisper, and it had me entranced.

Parks reached behind my back and immediately unclasped my bra. He gently caressed my back, then pulled the clasps forward and pushed my bra off. My nipples were hardened points, and my skin was covered in chills.

“Your body is mine, Princess.” My back arched as he sent his lips across my shoulder blade, over my breasts, and onto my stomach. Then he gripped the top of my trousers, quickly undid the button, and pulled them from my legs. Instantly, I was lying beneath him, my breasts rising as my lungs worked harder to exhale. I just wanted to feel his hands all over me. His tongue against my skin.

“Your scent to me is intoxicating.” He pushed his nose into my sex as he inhaled.

“I have a scent?” I gasped.

“Shh,” he warned. “I love to taste you, Princess.” He tongued my opening over my thong. My back arched slightly, a gasp falling from my lips. He bit the strings on the side and slid them down my legs with his teeth. Finally, I was naked. Needy. Wet.
