Rayer leaned against the stone next to the bulging alcove of windows in the tower.  The festival had gone wonderfully.  There was talk of sending a team back to Earth for a long term search for women willing to take a risk on the males of the Sii.  Coletta liked the idea of giving women who had been in her position the potential of a life they couldn’t imagine ever having.

At the peak of the celebration – after he had presented the first naturally conceived and birthed children in nearly half a century, his father had added a surprise to the celebration.  He had stepped down, declaring Rayer his successor and the new High King of Siiger.

Now, standing in the darkness of the deep night, Rayer listened to his mate putting their children down for the night.  Due to the layout of the tower rooms, they had a maid to help with the babies at night – but their mother liked to put them down herself.  There were a number of things that Coletta insisted on doing herself that members of the Royal houses would think nothing of having a worker do for them.

Over the course of the year, Rayer had more than come to love and treasure his mate, he liked her.  He considered Coletta to be a friend, a confidant, someone with whom he could share the weight of the High Throne with.

A delicate tread on the stairs told him that his children were down for the night.  Once more Rayer threw out his hopes to the universe that the twins would sleep through the night.  He missed being able to touch and tease Coletta, in the pursuit of mutual carnal delight, the way he had become accustomed to.  He hoped to rekindle that flame tonight.

“They’re down for the count,” Coletta murmured as she came into the bedchamber.  “Let’s hope that sleep wins.   So High King Rayer, you are doubtless going to be busy in the coming days.”

“I am sure,” Rayer replied, turning to enjoy the sight of Coletta undressing.  Since she had their babies to concern herself with, she had fought with Shali and Glanna over donning an elegant costume for the celebration.  Eschewing higher fashion, Coletta had insisted on wearing one of her simple robes with slits up both sides to above her hips.  Beneath it, she had worn a fine pair of silk pants and a highly decorated pair of slippers.  With the precious solar stones across her chest and dangling from her ears, she had been a vision of simple, functional, elegance.

Rayer waited until she had toed out of her slippers and had tugged the ear wires carefully from her lobes before reminding her of his plans for the evening.  “Leave them,” he said simply when her fingers touched the latch of the heavy necklace.

Coletta glanced up at him and must have seen the heat in his eyes.  Instead, she slipped her hands beneath the long front panel of her robe and eased the silk leg clothes down her thick, shapely legs.  The silk clung a moment on her hips and again, as it bunched, on her full thighs, then it slid down to the floor to puddle around her bare feet.

She flicked the closures of her robe open and shrugged it off her shoulders.  It pooled on the ground like liquid gold.  Coletta took a step away from her abandoned clothing and stood nude, save the glowing gems that scattered light over her breasts and face, in all of her golden glory.  Her body was lit by the solar stones and the faint light of the night sky.

Rayer took a step to her and drew her toward him.  He turned and pushed Coletta onto the wide seat that sat within the bulge of crystal panes and metal framing.  The large, low-backed, armed chair would be perfect for what he wanted to do, what he wanted to share with his mate.

Still clothed, Rayer dropped to his knees and leaned into Coletta, setting his mouth to hers.  He sipped on her lips, tangled his tongue with hers and delighted in the pleasure of her soft skin beneath his hands.  When she whimpered against his lips, Rayer allowed his mouth to drift from hers.  His lips feathered over her neck, he caught the dewy flesh at the hollow of her throat in the suction of his lips, causing Coletta to arch against him.

Cole had missed the feeling of Rayer’s hands on her body.  She missed the intimacy, but had been hesitant to seek it back out.  Pregnancy had distorted her body more than she had anticipated.  However, Rayer didn’t seem to mind the widened set of her hips, her thickened thighs or the jiggle of her still stretched belly.  Her already large breasts had become massive – Cole privately hoped that the Sii could orchestrate a good relationship with Earth so that she could openly order some correctly sized support garments.

Instead of recoiling from her post-baby body, Rayer had sat Cole in a comfortable chair as if she were a throne and had gone to his knees to worship her as she was.  It was the most empowering feeling.  That was one of the frequent gifts that the High Prince – now King – gave her.  He went out of his way to give Cole confidence where she was lacking it, to make her feel worthy as she was, when she had spent most of her life thinking that she was only appealing to men that had a kink.

Rayer had proven over and over that she was perfect to him, and sometimes went out of his way to allow his jealousy to show.  While he could doubtless keep such an emotion hidden under his social mask of inscrutability, her mate would allow it to show so that she not only noticed his continued interest, but the appreciative gazes that other men tried to covertly cast her way.

Now, he was determined to make her forget all of those things, as his fingers wandered toward the junction of her thighs and his mouth drifted down to latch onto one swollen nipple.  Cole’s hands sunk into Rayer’s hair and fisted as his mouth suckled on her need-filled skin.  Psychologically, she had desired renewed intimacy, but this was the first time since just before the twins’ birth that she was physically feeling the carnal need that had started hers and Rayer’s relationship.

He switched from one nipple to the other and slipped first one finger into her moist cleft.  He was careful, unsure of how tight or tender she still was after giving birth.  He took his time, stroking the already quivering bud of need as he gently prodded her sheath.

Rayer could taste the sweet mother’s milk, still lingering on her skin.  The twins had fed heartily, but the delicate sweetness lingered.  His fingers tested carefully at the opening of her body.  He didn’t want to rush her if she was still tender and recovering from the birth, but everyone that he had asked had suggested that it should be alright by this point to resume their mated relations.  Cautiously, Rayer slipped a finger inside of her and found that her tight sheath was a bit looser than she had been.  Testing the limits of her body, he slipped a second finger and then a third into her body.

Lifting his mouth from her breast, Rayer watched as Coletta tossed her head back and let out a quivering moan of need.  He drew his fingers from the dewy entrance and lifted each of her legs, hooking her knees over the arms of the chair.  Coletta opened her mouth to protest the position, but Rayer cut off her interjection.

“Stay, just like that.  Do not move.”  He quickly got to his feet and shed his clothes before dropping back to his knees on the thick carpet spread over the floor.  He fondled her breasts as he slipped three fingers back into sweet channel, double checking her readiness to take his shaft within her body.

Satisfied that he would spare her discomfort, Rayer eased the flared tip into her.  Wrapping his arms around the sides of the chair and reaching his fingers into her hair, he leaned forward and crushed his lips against Coletta’s as he began to slowly work the length of his sex into her trembling body.

Oh, he is going so slow.  At this rate, we are going to be here all night.  I am not sure I can take the pleasure that long.

Cole lifted her arms around Rayer’s chest and tried to pull him into her, wanting to feel more of his weight against her, more of the length of his cock inside of her.  She needed him to fill her.  When she arched against him, grinding her pussy against his cock, and heard him hiss his breath out between tightly clenched teeth Cole knew that he was as close to losing that otherwise infallible control of his.

There was something to be said about knowing that the only one who could disrupt his otherwise carefully controlled flow was her.  She liked knowing that.  She loved the consequences even more.

“More, give me more.”  Cole moaned against his lips as she arched, ground against him once more.  The request coupled with the physical stimulation drew a thick groan from her mate’s throat.

“I don’t want to overstrain you,” he managed to get out in between panting breaths when Cole insisted on continuing to try to fracture his control.

“Haven’t I already told you, you won’t break me?”  She punctuated the statement by grazing her teeth over Rayer’s collar bone; something that she had discovered drove him wild.  “Now take me the way I want you to.  The way you want to.”

When a low snarl rumbled through his chest and vibrated against her sensitive nipples, Cole knew that she had managed to unleash the beast that she wanted.  He began to drive his body into her over and over again, propelling them both closer and closer to the peaking pleasure that they both craved.  The torrent of delight finally broke over them.  First over her, and her clamping, shuddering muscles dragged him into the free fall with her.

Coletta’s nails had raked harsh paths across his back, but Rayer considered that a happy price for the way she limply laid, completely satiated, between him and the back of the chair.  Slowly withdrawing his lax shaft, Rayer took a moment to try to reorient his senses so that he could get both himself and the golden treasure he had managed to claim forever to their bed.

As he shoved to his feet, slumberous green-gold eyes glittered above a satisfied smile.  “You don’t have to worry about entertaining me all night – I think we are both a little out of practice.  As soon as we are back in the swing, I will expect you to break all of your previous records.”

Rayer laughed shakily as he hauled Coletta to her feet.  “Coletta, I would be delighted.”

“I wish that you would call me Cole.”

              “No.”

              “No?”

“I like the way your cheeks flush when I call you ‘Coletta.’ You turn the prettiest shade of rose-tinted gold.”

              “Figures.”

Smirking in the dark, Rayer used the last of his strength for the evening to toss Coletta among the pillows, relishing her hushed feminine squeal as she hovered a moment in the air, before he collapsed at the base of the bed and had to roll and crawl the rest of the way to join her.  As he slid into a blissful sleep, Rayer’s lips curved at the expectation of having his Earthling in this bed until they were both old and weathered – another hundred and fifty rounds would do.

PREVIEW OF ‘HER ALIEN BEAST’ BY ALYSSA EZRA

Chapter 1: An Aching Loss

The evening sky was a burnished canvas of soft oranges and reds as Simone drove the pick-up truck along the wide tracks of the Garrowgate Nature Reserve.  As she neared the wide lake situated to the north of the Reserve, she felt her chest tightening as memories drifted to the surface of her mind.

She felt the tears misting her eyes and took a deep breath, telling herself sternly not to fall to pieces.  It had been over four years ago since Dean had died, but right at that moment, it felt like only yesterday.

Simone wiped her eyes and drove down to the water’s edge.  Getting out of the pick-up, she went round to the back and took out the blanket and picnic basket that were located there.

To a casual observer, it might seem strange for a woman to be having a picnic at this late hour, but Simone had a very good reason to be here at this time.  It was at precisely seven pm as they sat looking out at the pink dappled waters of the lake that Dean had proposed to her.

Simone laid out the blanket and put down the picnic basket.  She had been so happy that night so long ago, and had immediately made plans for their upcoming wedding.  Dean said they would go to Bali, and Simone had fantasised about a long, sizzling honeymoon on a golden beach beneath tropical skies.

After that, they would move into a beautiful house and have as many beautiful children as they possibly could.  Simone had always longed to have a large family.  A week later Dean was dead, killed instantly in an automobile accident.  The dream of a future filled with happiness and light died with him.

Mechanically, she opened the picnic basket and started to take out the plates.  She did everything exactly the same as that fateful night.  Every detail was carved into her brain and she replayed their last intimate time together on an endless loop inside her mind.

She even wore the same clothes as well, the tight dark blue jeans that showed off the shapely curves of her hips, along with the black crop top vest made of lace that complemented her ample cleavage.

“I love you in that top babe,” he would say with a dopey grin on his boyish face.  “It makes you look even sexier than I saw you the first time.”

A faint smile drifted across her face as she remembered him saying that.  He was always saying goofy stuff.  Once she’d laid out the food and got the wine, she sat down on the blanket and poured out two glasses.

She put one opposite her and brought her own glass to her lips, closing her eyes as she sipped the wine.  Part of her said this was crazy and her mom and friends all thought she should have moved on by now.  This yearly ritual, coming back to the same spot at the same time was only keeping the grief alive, that’s what they believed.

Simone had tried to move on, she really had.  She’d tried dating, tried to make a go of it with other guys but her efforts had met with disappointment and disaster.

None of them lived up to Dean and the life she’d had with him.  She had been so lost and unhappy before he came into her life and now that he’d been so abruptly taken from her she was back to square one, only it was much, much worse now.

A cool breeze came from the lake and caressed her face and neck.  She closed her eyes, luxuriating in its soft touch and imagining the feel of Dean’s large hands on her body again.  The pain of loss became too much then and she let out a strangled sob.

She put down her glass and hugging herself tightly, lay down on the rug curled up into a defensive ball.  Now the tears flowed freely as she let her aching grief engulf her, and the world faded away into grey oblivion.
