"No."

"Olivia." Jace growled dipping his head into the nook of my neck I felt his teeth on my skin. I stiffened and he bit me.

"Jeez," I cried.

He laughed. "Punishment."

"Oh shut up."

"Shall I throw you over my knee?" He asked pointedly. "I know how much you like that."

"Jace," I wiggled. "Put me down."

"No."

"I said fucking put me down!"

"I said stop swearing." With that, he flipped me over the back of the nearest chair. One moment, my ass was warm and covered by my dress and the next it was bared to Jace's punishing hand. He slapped my bottom hard and I gasped. Tears sprang to my eyes as frustration bloomed in my chest. I thrashed, but he quickly restrained my hands, locking my wrists in his fist behind my back. Another lash sounded on my behind and I moaned into the room. The heat of anger slowly but surely fell away to the heat of desire. I really didn't know how I could want him after this. It was wrong. I knew it was, but I did none-the-less. I wanted him.

"Are you going to swear again?" He asked as he swatted my ass.

I didn't answer and I received another sharp wallop. "Answer me."

"No." I bit out the word. "I won't swear."

"Good." He smoothed his hand over my bottom, caressing the burning skin. "You have such a nice ass."

"Thanks." I said dryly.

"It's mine." Jace said softly and I stiffened.

"What?"

"I'm going to take your ass." He informed bluntly and I felt my eyes widen. Holy shit! I wasn't ready for this.

"No, Jace." I moaned. "I'm not ready."

"I know." He walked away. "Stay like you are."

Oh, holy fuck! What in the world was he going to do? "Jace?"

I watched as he pulled open a drawer of his desk before walking back toward me with something in his hand. I frowned, feeling downright terrified. "It's a plug, Angel. Calm down."

"I can't." I whispered. "You're putting that up my…" I couldn't finish. I couldn't believe this was happening right now. Only a few minutes ago, I'd told this man I loved him. But obviously love was blind because I also trusted him and he had a small shiny metal object that he planned on shoving up my ass. What in the hell was I thinking?

"I'm going to place it up your ass, yes." I knew he was grinning. I could hear it in his tone and I wanted to kick him in the teeth. Here I was sweating in fear and he was grinning. The flipping tard!

"I can't do this."

He pulled my panties down to my knees. Jace's hand moved between my legs. His fingers stroked my core and he sighed. "You're so wet, Angel. You see, you want this."

"No." I shook my head. "I don't want this."

"Breathe," Jace stroked me. "It won't hurt of you're relaxed. I promise. I would never hurt you."

"Jace,"

"Do you trust me, Olivia?"

Fuck. And again, proof love is blind. "I trust you,"

"Relax." I closed my eyes and listened to his voice. I concentrated on the feel of his hands stroking me gently, working my body into the familiar frenzy that resulted from his touch. Suddenly, the warmth of his finger was replaced by a cool metal object. He rubbed it against my opening, penetrating me slowly before pulling it out. "I've wet the plug, Olivia. It's lubricated enough to go inside you without hurting. Concentrate of the feel and know that once you can handle this, you can handle me. Think of me taking you this way. I need to take you this way."

Oh, and when he put it like that…I wanted him to. "I'm ready, Jace."

"I know you are, Angel." He said huskily as he pushed the plug slowly inside me. He was right. It didn't hurt. When I was relaxed, it felt odd, slightly uncomfortable, but there was no pain. That was all I cared about. "You did well." He kissed my rear and I blushed. "You can stand." He said as he pulled my panties back into place.

My face was bright cherry red as I stared at him. "I'm ready to go home." I said. "Take it out."

Jace laughed. "You need to wear it for a couple hours."

"What?" He wanted me to walk with this up my ass?

"It needs time to stretch you."

"Pardon me," I frowned. I still didn't get it. This didn't make sense. I was not walking around New York City with a butt plug. Hell no!

"Olivia," he smiled on a shake of his head. "You are so sweet. You need to wear this two hours a day for three days. Once you've done that we will increase the size to another, which you will wear for two hours for one week. We will continue doing this until I feel you are ready for me."

"Oh God." I felt slightly queasy.

"Can you handle this?" he frowned.

"Yes." I nodded. "Let's go."

He took my hand and walked from the office. It felt weird having an object in my body as I walked and I thanked the heavens for small mercies that we were leaving the office so late. Surely we wouldn't run into anyone. Jace stopped at the elevator and pressed the button. I breathed out a sigh of release as we stopped walking. The metal inside me felt heavy and slightly uncomfortable. Would it be like this the entire two hours?

"Hey," A deep male voice vibrated the space around us and I felt my face flush bright red. "I'll ride down with you."

"Caleb," Jace grinned easily and I kept my eyes trained on the stainless steel elevator door. "You're here late."

"I was going over the Paris numbers." I felt this eyes on me. "Unlike some of us, I was working."

Well, I thought I was red before. But my face was so unbearably hot now I couldn't even guess what color I was. Oh. My. God. This was horrible.

"Oh, I was working." Jace chuckled. "Olivia here was sleeping." He bumped me and I flinched. The sharp movement caused the plug within me to shift and I moaned.

"Yeah," the heat travelled into my ears as Caleb watched me with a knowing grin. I wanted to knock him out and hope he didn't remember anything upon waking. "I'm still pretty exhausted."

"I'll bet you are." Caleb's voice was teasing and Jace wound his hand around my waist, drawing me into him. I had a mind to fight him, but I feared he would slap my ass, causing another moan to burst between my lips. Well, this was certainly a sticky situation if there ever was one.

The door opened and I walked inside slowly. Jace followed me in with Caleb trailing us. I wanted to tell him to get his own damned elevator, but instead I smiled sweetly. Jace watched me with an easy, cocky grin on his face. He pulled a paper from his pocket and it slipped between his fingers, fluttering to the floor.

"Olivia," laughing blue eyes stared at me. "Would you mind picking that up for me?"

I looked at Jace and if looks could kill…he'd be on the floor. The ass wanted me to bend down with this thing in my ass! What a fool! He just started a war and payback was a bitch. I nodded sweetly and my eyes flickered to Caleb who was leaning against the far wall with his arms crossed over his chest. A single brow was raised as he watched me.

With a deep breath, I slowly bent my knees to retrieve the paper. A flush of heat swam through my body, but I didn't make a sound as I stood calmly back to height. I glanced at the paper and saw it was blank. With a sassy smile, I shoved it into Jace's pants, making sure to trail my hand up the side of a half hard cock as I went.

I pulled my hand away as ice blue eyes stared hard at me. His jaw twitched as he ground his teeth and Caleb laughed. The doors opened and he stepped out. "You two have a nice night." He shook his head as he walked toward a sleek white Audi car.

I elbowed Jace in the stomach, not caring when a puff of air blew from his lips. "You're a jerk."

"Me?"

"You know what you're doing." I snapped. Good lord I was irritable.

"No," He shook his head. "I don't know what I'm doing." His eyes glimmered. "Why don't you enlighten me."

"Fuck you." I spun on my heel and stomped to the car.

I heard Jace grunt as he caught up to me quickly. "Don't think I won't slap your ass down here over the hood of my car, Olivia. I will."

"It's probably a sick fantasy of yours anyway." I snapped.

He hissed in a breath. "You think my fantasies are sick?"

Shit. I didn't want to go here tonight. "Some of them are, Jace. But we're not discussing this. I'm hungry and fucking irritable."

"I see that." he cocked his head. "Why so bitchy?"

I stopped short. "You did not just call me bitchy?"

"I might have."

"I'm going back to my house." I barked through gritted teeth.

"No, you're not." He shook his bead. "Bitchy or not, you're mine and you're coming with me."

"Oh got to hell." I didn't have a chance to make a break for the door because I was suddenly over Jace's shoulder. I moaned in pleasured frustration as the plug shifted sharply. I was so flipping horny I was angry and so damned close to tears for no good reason. I slumped against his back, unwilling to fight him anymore. I was tired and emotional and cranky. And I wasn't even due for my period for another week. There was no reason for this apart from severe emotional stimulation overdose.

Jace's hands were gentle on my body as he pulled me from his shoulder, sliding me down his body slowly. He was hard. I could feel him and my body ached in response. I loved and hated how intimately my body responded to his. I didn't want to want him so desperately. I didn't want to want to give into his ridiculous demands - but I did.

"You're quiet." Jace said softly.

"Hmm." I forced a small smile, trying to fight my need to assure him everything was fine.

"What's wrong?"

"Are you going to take me home, Jace?"

He nodded. "Yes. I'm going to take you home."

Chapter 16

I sat on the bar stool, blowing on the soup Jace sat in front of me before sipping it from my spoon. It was delicious, but more than that…it was comforting. Something about soup never failed to comfort me when I felt strung tight to the point of snapping from strain. I sighed and closed my eyes as I thought of a much-needed retreat. The thought made me think of Trisha and her yearly family vacation.

"I have something I need to discuss with you." I said seriously. He needed to know there was no room for ridiculous demands in this. I would be going whether he wanted me to or not - whether he came or not.

Jace frowned and nodded. He placed his spoon against the edge of his bowl and settled impeccable blues on me. He was giving me his full attention and I was grateful. "Go on."

"I'm going to British Columbia with Trisha to spend the first two weeks of December with her family in their vacation house near Kicking Horse." I spoke the words quickly. "I've done it for years. It's tradition."

"All right." Jace said gruffly. "Am I invited?"

I felt my eyes grow inconsiderably wide. "You want to come?"

"Of course I want to come. I go where you go." He spoke the words as though I were dense.

"Well, you were invited because Trisha so brazenly told her parents I was in a relationship." I mumbled.

"At least Trisha knows what's up." Jace stated and again, my eyes widened.

"So, we're in a relationship?"

He waved at his surroundings. "I think that's what two people call it when they can't get enough of one another. You're not leaving without me for two weeks. I won't allow it."

I raised my brows. "You won't allow it?"

"No Olivia, I won't." he said sternly, daring me to challenge. I took the dare.

"Since when were you given the right to dictate what I could and couldn't do?"

His eyes were serious and they never flickered from mine. "Since the moment you told me you loved me."

My breath caught at his words and my heart pounded in my chest erratically. I didn't know what to say. I was speechless. "Oh,"

"If you're going then I'm going too." Jace said as he turned his attention back to his soup. "Thanks for the notice. I'll be letting Caleb know he'll have to be around."

I felt rocked down to my very core. "Do you ski?"

"I do." He raised his brows. "Do you?"

"I love skiing."

"Huh," he studied me as though I had two heads. "I didn't see that. What else do you like doing?"

We were back to getting to know each other. And I was back to the realization that I loved a man I didn't know. "Um, I like winter. I love the snow."

"I thought you liked the warmth, hence your desire to see Italy."

"Oh, I love the warmth too." I smiled. "I like weather in general. Each season is beautiful for a different reason."

"I see." He nodded. "Which is your favorite?"

"I don't have a favorite. Do you?"

"I don't either." He stood with his bowl and I followed. "What's your favorite flower?"

I grinned. "Oh, I love them all."

He glared. "You're not going to give me a straight answer are you?"

"Well, I love them all." I whined. "But I especially love dahlias, peonies and lilies. I've always wanted a garden filled with them." I sighed, staring dreamily off into space. When I came back to reality, Jace was staring at me with a serious look on his face. His blue eyes were so intense I shivered.

"What are your views on marriage?" He asked quietly after a long moment of silence.

I tensed and he noticed. "I've never believed in marriage, Jace. My parents ruined it for me."

He nodded. "Do you think we'd be different?"

Holy potatoes! He wasn't! "Are you asking?"

"No." He shook his head and I breathed out a sigh of release. That was close. But…what would I have said? My beliefs on marriage aside - I knew I wanted to spend my life with this man. He was the only one I'd ever loved enough to consider the idea of forever with. Why not do forever in marriage? Instantly, I scolded myself for the thought. "I want to know what you think marriage to me would be like?"

"Why?"

He looked wounded. "Because my parents had a shitty marriage too and I am a lot like my father. I want to know what you think marriage would be like to me."

Oh dear lord almighty! He was nothing like his father. I knew this for a fact. Jace loathed the man. How could he think he was anything like him? From what I'd picked up over the course of my time with Jace, I knew his father had been anything but good. He needed to know he was nothing like him.
