fell in love with the eighteenth century while studying for her B.A. at the University of Oxford. She has an M.A. from Queen Mary, University of London, and a Ph.D. from the University of Oxford and teaches at London University. As well as writing and lecturing, she is the Historical and Royal Analyst for CNN America and International and appears regularly on television discussing history, royal news, and culture in the United States and the United Kingdom for CBS, ABC, and BBC America. She lives in London, and in her spare time she likes to go to Paris.
