When he looked back she was tucking in a shirt that was too big for her. She had kept her own boots on but had hidden them under the police officers trousers which had been turned up at the bottom and rolled over at the top to make them look like they fitted. She covered the top of the trousers with the belt which she had to adjust to the smallest setting to make fit.

Fulton closed the gap between them and reached around her to pick up the radio and fit it in place. Their bodies were intimately close and when she looked up into his eyes he felt a repeat of the feelings he had had on the earlier exchange.

"You look good in a uniform," Gabriella said. Fulton watched her lips as they formed the words, glistening slightly
with a layer of moisture as she licked her lips. Fulton's own mouth felt suddenly dry. He watched her lick her lips again.

"You look good all the time."

They stood there in silence, not moving. Fulton knew what it was that he wanted to do next and he had a good idea that it was the same thing that was on Gabriella's mind. But if they did that there could be no going back.

The blare of sirens indicating the arrival of more police shocked them out of the moment.

"That would be our cue to leave."

They made it past the police without a problem and Fulton stole them a car as soon as he thought they were far enough away. They ditched the vehicle quite a distance away from the house so that it
wouldn't lead the police to them when it was reported stolen.

The two vampires walked the streets in silence, neither one willing to admit their feelings to the other. The homeless people and the dealers kept away from them in uniform as they never would have out of it, even though they were more dangerous as vampires than as police.

Gabriella was in the lead and she was the first to turn down the path and approach the door. She looked ready to open it when she turned to face Fulton. She swallowed. "I know you felt what I felt."

Fulton reached out to her. "I did. I do."

Gabriella looked more frightened now that they were talking like this than
she had earlier on when faced with Xavier again, Fulton imagined that he must look the same.

"We need to talk about this," he said.

Gabriella put her hand on the side of his chest where he hadn't been injured. She broke eye contact. "I want to do more than just talk."

"So do I."

Chapter Thirty

The door opened behind Gabriella.

"Well, well, well. What do we have here?" Francesca said with a hand on her hip.

Fulton had thought he had seen Gabriella at her most frightened but the expression that flashed across her face in that moment outdid it. She quickly transformed it into a huge grin as she turned around to Francesca. She jumped up and wrapped her legs about her.

"You're home." Gabriella sounded genuinely excited.

"Yes I am." She put Gabriella down on the floor and planted a kiss on Fulton as she pulled him inside.

"It looks like the two of you have been having fun without me. I'm glad you are finally getting along."

Fulton didn't dare speak or make eye contact with her in case she worked
out what had just been going on outside. Gabriella didn't seem to be having any similar problems. She was all over Francesca like a bad smell. She clung to her and whispered in her ear with a little giggle. Fulton left them to it and entered the living room. He threw himself into a chair and aggressively jabbed the buttons on the remote control, impatiently waiting for the television to come to life.

Gradually the screen brightened and clarified itself into images of a black-and-white war movie. Soldiers were firing out of trenches past coils of barbed wire. Explosions threw up dirt and smoke. Fulton saw the pictures but they didn't occupy his mind. Instead his mind was concerned with what he had felt, what he had hoped was about to happen, and what he felt now that the bubble had
burst. He was finally able to identify the feeling he had, and that he had had on numerous occasions before.

Fulton had thought that he was jealous of Gabriella. Of the time she spent taking Francesca away from him. But now he understood that it was Francesca he was jealous of.

Footsteps pounded on the steps as one of them rushed upstairs. Francesca opened the living room door and slithered inside. Fulton stubbornly kept his eyes glued on the television. In the end she put her hand under his chin to make him look on her.

She undid the buttons on his borrowed uniform with her other hand.

"I hadn't realised the two of you were into uniforms," she said slipping her
hand under the material and over his chest.

"It's a long story," Fulton replied rigidly keeping his hands off her and resisting her charms.

Francesca leaned forwards exposing a large amount of cleavage. Fulton continued to feign disinterest.

"You can tell me all about it later," she breathed into his ear.

Her breath produced goose-bumps on his neck as his body started to react instinctively towards her. As she guided the shirt down his shoulders he brought his own hands to her body.

If he closed his eyes and ignored her scent he could almost imagine . . .

"I'm waiting."

Gabriella's voice coming from upstairs spoiling the illusion. Francesca
gave him another kiss pulling out his bottom lip with a gentle bite of her teeth as she stood.

"I'll see you after."

Fulton couldn't help but study the way her body moved under her clothes as she walked out of the room. In a few moments she would be with Gabriella. They would be together.

Fulton sat just staring at the door then he looked down at his exposed upper body. He shook his head and aggressively tugged his shirt back up and started fastening the buttons. When he got to the bottom he realised he was off by one hole all the way down but he couldn't be bothered to do them up again.

Moans and groans soon started to emanate from Gabriella's room as the two women pleasured each other.
Whatever he had thought Gabriella had felt it obviously hadn't had much impact on her.

The moans got louder. Gabriella was crying out for more.

Fulton turned the volume up on the television.

Screw it, Francesca was welcome to her.

Shedding her flimsy coverings, a dainty little costume designed to accentuate her curves with  a short skirt slit high up the sides of her thighs to show plenty of leg, she dipped a toe into the hot liquid. Skin tingling with the heat she sank below the surface. Leaving the tap open just a little to let the pattering droplets bounce off her skin and tickle
her, Gabriella lay back and closed her eyes.

She grabbed the delicate sponge from the rim of the tub and dragged it over her skin. She could still feel the tension in her muscles as she lathered herself in soap. As well as tension arising out of the frustration of having had the close call with that bloody Xavier there was the pent-up frustration of having realised that she had feelings for Fulton but being unable to act  on them because Francesca had returned.

Gabriella had compensated for her feelings for Fulton by putting her all into being with Francesca. Now she was confused as much as she was frustrated. She had feelings for both of them, and those feelings were impossible to reconcile. She felt that both of them were
the only one for her. She couldn't separate her feelings into distinct units.

With her hands rubbing soap all over her body Gabriella shut down her thoughts and finally let herself fully relax and be carried away in the moment. She could manage for now, later she could worry about dealing with her feelings. She closed her eyes and imagined that she was with both Francesca and Fulton. She fantasised about how she would let them pleasure her and how she would pleasure them in turn. Sound effects were provided for her from Fulton's bedroom where the two of
them
were taking care of themselves. Unlike before Gabriella was more jealous of Francesca than she was of Fulton.

Forcing her thoughts away she again abandoned herself in the moment,
but this time there were just the two of them. As her cares were swept away on wave after wave of joyous release she let a contented smile blossom. Here she could be with whoever she wanted without fear of hurting the other.

She lay there letting the water caress her like the lover her fingers had become, occasionally using her toes at the end of her slender legs to hook the chain holding the plug and letting some of the water drain away. The contrast between the heat of the water and the cool, but not draughty, air was exquisite. She  let the plug be tugged back into place from between her toes by the current before opening the hot tap to full again and revelling in the cascade of liquid and steam.

She was on her third or fourth tub full, she couldn't remember clearly, and her delicate hands and feet were beyond the point of simply being wrinkled they were ridged and rubbery, when Francesca called to her from outside the door.

Suddenly feeling very guilty Gabriella struggled to sound normal when she answered, "Yes."

Francesca opened the door and stepped inside as Gabriella let the water out of the bath and rinsed herself off with the shower. Francesca just watched while she washed suds from her body. When she was done Francesca presented her with a towel.

"You need to get ready. We are going out."

Gabriella rubbed the towel on her hair. "Where?" She asked moving onto her neck and shoulders.

"Just a club I heard about. I think you'll like it."

Gabriella had dried off her arms and the rest of her body. She had her left foot on the edge of the bath and pushed the towel down from her thigh to her toes. "What should I wear?"

"Anything you like."

Fulton had got dressed while Francesca went and checked on Gabriella. Francesca had told him they were going out to a club, it had been an order not an invitation. She hadn't made any mention of a dress code so Fulton just grabbed something out of his wardrobe. He wasn't in an overly
celebratory mood but he had to act normally.

"I know that something has been bothering you," Francesca said from behind him as he finished buttoning up a burgundy shirt.

So much for her not noticing.

"Gabriella told me about what you were doing last night. How you went to visit your parents and what happened afterwards."

Fulton turned around. "Nothing-"

Francesca stepped forwards and extended her arm displaying her palm to quiet him.

"I know that nothing happened. But you wanted it to."

She shushed him before he could even try and speak again.

"Gabriella says she told you it was a bad idea. You should have listened to her when she told you your parents would betray you."

Fulton felt muscles relax that he hadn't even realised were tense. He nodded.

"We are your family now. Gabriella and myself." She stroked her fingers on his cheek. "We understand you and accept you in a way they never could. I hope their treachery has at least taught you that?"

Fulton nodded again. "It has. It won't happen again. I know who I belong with."

"The last time I came to a place like this I freaked myself out. I really didn't fit
in," Fulton commented as they approached the end of the line of vampires and humans waiting to be admitted to the club.

There hadn't been a queue like that at that other club and the building was a lot smaller than the converted warehouse the vampires had taken over at this location. If the queues were any indication the warehouse was going to be pretty packed. Trepidation turned Fulton's stomach inside out.

Francesca was walking between Fulton and Gabriella half a step in front leading them up to the end of the queue. Instead of stopping there she led them on towards the entrance. Gabriella was closest to the assorted vampires and humans waiting patiently and as such she took the brunt of the stares and black
looks aimed at them. She seemed completely unfazed and on the occasions when she chose to acknowledge the looks she did so by returning them with an addition of her own venom.

Francesca never gave any sign that she noticed how they were being regarded. While the crowd were more than willing to dish out assorted black looks none of them were willing to try and physically, or even verbally, confront them. Though Fulton did catch the end of a few hushed comments.

They reached the head of the queue just as a pair of human women were admitted. A human man behind them found his way barred by a barrel-chested Goliath of a vampire who was pushing   six and a half feet tall and seemed about as wide.

"Not you."

The human looked like he was ready to protest when the vampire folded its arms across its chest. The material of its black T-shirt was stretched almost to transparency as the sleeves struggled to contain the muscles within.
