“So strip!” he ordered.

“What?” Matt asked as he was still trying to take this all in.

“Right here?” Perhaps it was the drugs which were making me as slow on the uptake as Matt.

“Yeah!” Joe’s voice now thundered. “Right here, right now. Take off all of your clothes right now and just leave them on the floor next to your bags for the time being.”

A chill suddenly advanced down my spine and I froze as I watched Matt begin to loosen his tie.

“Come on, Adams!” Joe’s yell got me grabbing at my clothes to comply. “I want ‘a see your lily white ass too,” he admitted sarcastically. “So take ‘em off, now!”

A few moments later, as my roommate and I stood naked before this hulking man, his demeanor changed again and once more we could see him smiling at us. “Ok,” he continued as his eyes surveyed every inch of our bare bodies. “Let’s head for the pool out in back.” With his sandwich now finished, Joe led us down a hallway and into his family room which was located at the rear of the house. Matt and I strolled behind the man and stopped to listen when he wanted us to take a moment to admire his pool table.
How clicked,
I thought to myself.

With our arms folded across our chests, Matt and I stood along one side of the table as Joe picked up a cue and began to demonstrate a few of his trickier shots for us. While we tried to act interested, I took the opportunity to scan around the room and right away I could tell that it really did appear as if this guy was moving out. On an opposite wall, the contents from a couple of shelves had been removed and placed into a box on the floor below.
Huh, \
thought as I recognized something familiar. “Hey, there’s the bat that Fatso gave you.” I blurted this out before I had realized that I was interrupting a quick lesson on Joe’s breaking strategy. Nevertheless, all by itself this keepsake with the names of five players scribbled on it was lying precariously in its little cradle-like stand on one of these shelves.

“Huh?” Joe then laid his pool cue down on the table and trained his attention on us once more. “Oh, yeah. That’s where I’ve been keeping all of my Red Sox stuff. I didn’t put the bat away yet because I didn’t want it to break the pictures I’ve got in the box.” Our host then turned his head and looked at a door with safety glass in it at the back of the room. “Ok, well enough of this chit chat,” Joe then raised his hands in the air to about chest level and took a step away from the pool table. “Come on with me and we’ll have a swim,” he ordered.

A swim,
I thought.
Maybe everything’s gonna be all right with this guy after all.
Swimming was an activity which Matt and I always enjoyed and I figured that Joe probably knew this about us. So as Matt and I came out from behind the pool table, we watched as Joe raised one of his hands to unlock the deadbolt and then open this door lined with weather stripping so we could walk out to his swimming pool.

It looked to me as if walls and a ceiling had been built out from the house sometime after its original construction to enclose the pool and the cement patio which surrounded it. As we walked through the doorway and felt an immediate increase in the humidity and heat, we looked around quickly—out of habit actually—to see what the layout of the place was and if there were any other way for us to get out which, as it turned out, there was not. “Wow,” Matt observed. “It’s really warm in here.” Joe followed us into the pool room and then closed the door behind him. “Yeah, I keep the water temperature set on ninety degrees, so it keeps the air in here nice and hot.” Joe then took a ring of keys from his pocket and began to search through them.

Even naked, I could tell that I was already beginning to sweat in this place. “Man, you could grow tropical plants in here.” And as I watched with my roommate to see Joe slide a key into the deadbolt on the door and lock it, we realized suddenly that he had locked the three of us in this room. On the inside the lock was operated with a latch, but out here there was no latch. Out here only the key that our host was now stuffing back into his pants pocket could unlock the door for us. Joe then turned around and caught us both staring at the door.

“Is something wrong?” he demanded.

“No, sir,” Matt replied in a servile tone.

“No, sir,” I answered in the same way.

Joe then began to undo his shirt. “So what do you guys think of the place?”

Matt and I then turned around and gave this room our first real look.

“See,” Joe pointed out proudly. “I’ve got the place decorated like a Hawaiian paradise. It’s great isn’t it?”

As I looked around, I beheld before me the smallest and the tackiest indoor swimming pool I had ever seen. The pool itself was in the shape of a small rectangle and extended out from where we were standing to the wall on the other side of the room where we could see out through some windows into a back yard which seemed dense with trees. The deep end was closer to us and went down perhaps nine feet. Beyond the cement apron which encircled the pool, there was green Astroturf which covered the patio surface everywhere. For guests, Joe had crammed five round metal tables with chairs all around the room. Two tables were along the side of the pool to our left, two more were on either side of us against the wall that adjoined the house, and the fifth table was closer to us on the right side of the pool. Farther away on the right side stood a badly built bamboo bar with some cupboards mounted on the wall behind it. A couple of plastic palm plants were arranged in the outside corner over on the left, and a topless female mannequin with a grass skirt around its waist and a lei around its neck was standing on its own over in the outside corner to our right.

“And you guys see the lamps?” Joe asked as he slipped off his underpants. Naked he sort of looked like Fatso, only younger and more fit. “I put those in myself.”

Surrounding the pool between the apron and the tables were a half dozen or so Tiki lamps which had been permanently cemented into the patio floor. It was still the middle of the afternoon, otherwise I was sure that Joe would have lit these lamps for us.

“Does Don Ho know about this place?” Matt asked.

“Smart ass!” It wasn’t the reaction that our host had been expecting, and now he sounded angry with us again. “All right now, you first,” Joe pointed his beefy finger at me. Pleasantries were definitely over now. The time had come for us to get down to business. “I want you to get in the pool with me and give me a blow job while you’re under water. Let’s go.” And with that, Joe lumbered over to the edge and jumped into the pool. The loud splash he made echoed quickly throughout the room and woke both of us up to the reality that we were here to work.

When Joe surfaced and swam over to the shallow end, he turned around once he had reached the opposite wall and saw that I was still standing next to Matt. “Let’s go, kid!” he hollered at me. “Get in this water now or I’ll beat your ass!”

This was it. There was no way that things could be put off any longer. But as I stepped over to the edge of the pool, I worried over how quickly this guy’s attitude toward us was able to change. And then I realized as I dove into the warm water, that Joe was like a volcano that was being prevented temporarily from exploding. It seemed obvious to me now that this guy was riled over something and the idea of placing my head under the water at his groin, in a position where I would be unable to keep my eye on him in case he decided to drown me or something, now seemed like an awful risk for me to be taking.

And as I surfaced and felt the water rush from my hair and down over my face, I felt as if the sound the drops were making as they drained from my head and fell noisily back into the pool was drawing too much attention to me. To postpone things a few moments longer I guess, I then turned my head back around so I could look once more at my friend and catch his eye. “Watch my back,” I mouthed. I then saw Matt’s expression change as he nodded his head which told me that he understood what it was that I was worrying about. “Let’s go, kid! Get over here!” Joe yelled at me. In the shallow end, at the far corner of the pool on the left were some semicircular steps. By now, Joe had placed his massive rear end onto the bottom one which permitted him to sit in the water up to his neck. Without any more delays, I stretched out and began to swim over to the far side of the pool to present myself to our boss for the weekend and do for him what I had done for so many by this time. But when I was finally standing before him and getting ready to stick my head under water so I could get to work, a wave of fear rushed through my body and motivated me instead to take a couple of steps backwards. “I can’t do it,” I declared to my boss.

“What do you mean you can’t do it?” At first Joe didn’t seem to comprehend what I was saying to him.

“I mean … no, I can’t do this. Joe, there’s no way I can stay under water long enough to be able to do anything. But I’ve got a better idea. Why don’t we all go back inside the house and Matt and I will give you a really good rub down. And then one of us can suck you off while you suck the other one of us at the same time if you want.” My mind was racing now to come up with any sort of a scheme that he might go for.

Joe’s face then went red as he stood up in the water. “Come here now!” he demanded.

“No, I can’t,” I replied nervously as I took a few more steps back. “I said come here, damn it!” Joe took a step toward me this time. There was no question that I had made this man furious with me.

“Joe, I can’t do it. You can’t get angry at me for something I can’t do.” I was now considering how I was going to be able to escape this guy’s grasp if he decided to reach for me. But instead I watched as our host turned around instead and climbed the steps to get out of the water. Once on the patio, he continued to walk around the far end of the pool until he was standing in front of the bamboo bar, and then I saw him look at me again.

“Ok,” he sounded calmer now. “Get out of the water then and come over here.”

I wasn’t sure what to make of things now, but to show good faith at least I stood upright again. As water dripped from me all over, I looked at Matt once more to see how he was now sizing up this guy. But when our eyes met, my friend just shrugged his shoulders and looked away. So again I had to make a decision on my own.

“Come on, Adams. Come out of the water and stand over here.” Now he sounded almost pleasant.

So I was Adams again instead of kid. That certainly suggested to me that something was on this guy’s mind. But I supposed that I couldn’t stand around in the pool all day. So slowly I began to move through the water until I reached the steps. Then I climbed my way out of the pool and began to walk along the patio to follow my orders this time as gradually as I could manage. Once I was standing next to the bar, I stopped. “Ok, Joe. Here I am,” I said as I dripped water onto the man’s Astroturf.

“Yes, so you are.” Joe now stared down at me with a look that told me I had just made an enormous mistake. “You know I had hoped that we could have had a little fun together before…” Joe then looked away from me and over at Matt for a moment. My friend was still standing where we had come into the pool room.

“Before what, Joe?” I asked. I was trying to sound compassionate toward the guy. At this time in my life, I was still naive enough to believe that if I was nice to others they would always, in turn, be nice to me. And as it turned out, I suppose I should have just kept my mouth shut.

Joe then looked directly at me again. “Before I do to you two what I did to your friends last night at the lake.”

“What?” Fear now had me paralyzed. “What are you… Ooof!” Before I could finish my sentence, Joe had slugged me hard in my stomach and I collapsed instantly onto the patio.

“No! Joe, don’t do that!” Matt shrieked as I looked up at my attacker and gasped for air.

The monster then reached down with his meaty hands and took hold of my sides under my arm pits, and lifted me with no effort off of the floor. “Yeah, I really hoped we could have a little fun before I had to do this.” Joe then threw me down hard like a side of beef onto the round metal table next to the bar.

“Auhauh!” I cried out when I landed on my back. The table wasn’t big enough to hold all of me so my legs hung over one edge where it caught me at mid thigh, while my head hung off the opposite side.

Joe then turned his head away from me for a moment to look at Matt again. “But maybe you’ll blow me later on instead. Huh?” Joe then returned his attention to the boy who was now sprawled helplessly on the table before him.

Matt immediately turned and grabbed hold of the doorknob with both of his hands and tried to force the door open so he could get away and go for help. “Ah!” he exclaimed in desperation.

“You might as well give up, kid. There’s no way you can get out of here. You just sit tight while I work on your friend over here for a while.”

Undaunted, Matt then scanned the floor rapidly, located Joe’s pants, and then bent down to reach into his pockets.

“Hey!” Joe yelled. “Now just leave those pants alone and stay still over there for a while. There’s no way you can figure out which key it is and get the door open before I can come over there and pound your ass.”

Realizing that our situation was hopeless, Matt then stood up again and gave up on his effort to escape. He did, however, decide to try one last series of appeals as an attempt to save our lives. “You don’t have to do this, Joe. We promise we won’t do anything to let your secret out.”

With his left hand, Joe grabbed a large hunk of wet hair from just above my forehead and pulled my head up until I could look forward and see the rest of my body again. “Auhauh!” I then felt the force and the resulting pain from a right cross which Joe delivered to my face at the same moment he released his grip on my hair. Instantly, of course, my head flopped back down to hang off the edge of the table once again.

“No, you guys don’t understand.” Joe was able to continue his conversation with Matt while he concentrated on working me over. “That’s not why I have to kill you two.” Then he lifted my head by my hair again, and threw another punch at me.
