I sat up and rubbed at my neck. I didn’t need a mirror to know I was bruised again. Noticing Quinn hadn’t spoken a word, I looked over at him. “What the hell are you looking at?” I demanded, slowly standing.
“You, sweetheart.” He smiled. The sight of it angered me.
“Knock it off then,” I retorted. “In fact, you win, Quinn. I don’t want to save you anymore. You can go to Hell for all I care.” I turned away, ready to leave.
“Oh no, you don’t,” he called, and I found myself being pulled against him. “You’re not going anywhere. Not now.” He crushed his lips to mine in a brutal, delicious kiss. My body instantly reacted, and I pushed back at him, my tongue invading his mouth. It was intoxicating, the rush from his taste making me hunger for more. I began lifting his shirt—the need to touch him maddening.
He responded in kind, undressing me when a screeching thought stopped me cold. Breaking away, I raised my hand—needing space.
“What’s happening?” I looked around wildly, hoping for an explanation.
“You mean you don’t know?” Quinn asked and I shook my head. None of this made sense.
Grabbing my face, he dragged me over to a nearby car and forced me to look into the side mirror.
“See for yourself.”
I snorted, not caring for his demands, but all thoughts fled my mind when I saw my blue eyes staring back—blue, not green.
“What the hell?” I exclaimed.
Quinn chuckled. “This should be interesting.”
