A shuttle soon landed outside the institute, and they quickly grabbed their bags and secured themselves for the trip back into space. Sunlight glinted off the nearby ocean as the shuttle launched to the east and rapidly accelerated towards space. The three officers talked quietly, as they were well aware that humanity had now embarked on a dangerous time over the next hundreds of years. For now the galactic vassal races would be in continuous contact and the repercussions could yet be fatal to the survival of the human race. The shuttle altered course and the three of them looked out their windows silently at their beautiful but fragile home world, Earth, the birthplace of humanity.
