ABOUT “TIEWATER”

You might be interested to know that SEAL Team member “Tiewater” in this book is based on a real person by the name of Tim Tigner.

Tim served in Soviet Counterintelligence with the Green Berets.  He was kind enough to serve as an advisor for several of the military scenes in Catalyst.  Tim is a great guy and one heck of a writer in his own right, on par with Tom Clancy and David Baldacci.

Read just one of his thrillers and you’ll see what I mean.

Message from the author

I must admit, when I started the Breakthrough story I had no idea of what reaction I might receive.  But I
was
hopeful.  After all, who doesn’t like dolphins?  However, the overwhelming response after the first book was published was something I wasn’t expecting.

Not only do most people like the story, but the excitement over the idea of connecting with another intelligent species on our own planet seems to resonate far deeper than I had expected.

Moreover, it’s not just that people like dolphins, it’s more that practically everyone seems to
love
dolphins.  There are of course exceptions, but the consensus among the rest of us makes me wonder if there is indeed some innate love for these creatures bubbling beneath the surface.

Perhaps it’s why so many of us are fascinated with the idea of extraterrestrials.  An idea that we are not alone and that humans just might
not
be the pinnacle of life in the universe.

Nevertheless, I’m glad you’ve enjoyed this story so far.  Of course, it’s not over.  And if by chance you found yourself disappointed at the absence of Palin or his people in Catalyst, do not despair.  Their story is just beginning.

In the meantime, please visit my website at
www.michaelgrumley.com
to get a FREE copy of “Genesis.”  It’s an unpublished Breakthrough novella, which tells the story of Alison Shaw’s run-in with the Navy, how she came to meet Dirk and Sally for the first time, and how the IMIS project was born.  I think you’ll like it.

   And finally, if you could
please
spare a moment and leave a review for Catalyst, or even a post on your favorite social website, I would be very grateful.

As for myself, I’ll be working on the next Breakthrough book.

Thank you,

Michael
