Just then the lead vocalist of the band said, “Ladies and gentlemen, please join me in celebrating the first dance of our bride and groom, Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Nichols.
The music began as J.T. and Nina stepped onto the dance floor. You didn’t have to know them to know they were in love; you could tell just by looking at them. Nina looked radiant.
I watched as Cole and Bri joined them. Other couples followed, and so did my mom and dad.
“Shall we?” said Trent.
I took his hand and let him lead me to the center of the dance floor for all the world to see.
He pressed me close to him then whispered in my ear, “You know I’m in love with you, right?”
I looked up into his eyes, and then he kissed me.
