“Love, I can hear your thoughts!”

H
e holds my chin in his hand with a smile spread over his face.

“Uh, maybe you should stop listening.” I tell him with a grin.

“Stop being sorry love. Ok firstly, I do not kill when I feed, the humans I feed from are very willing. I’m over 900 years as is Angus. hum, what was the other one…yes I want to taste you but I will not until you’re ready. I won’t push anything on you Zara, and I would never think of you as a pet, love.”

I believe he won’
t push me. I feel so helpless like he’s my personal magnet, everything about him calls to me. However, as soon as he mentioned his feeding on humans, question spring to mind again, are they woman? Does he have sex with them? I feel jealous before I even know the answers. I want him, want him to be the one he feeds from! God help me.

“I don’t feel ready for this life, I’m so happy with my new home, family and friends. I do feel love for you Parrise, but it’s just wrong for me to lead you on this way. I don’t want you hurt?”

“I know love, you need to know that I will be here waiting for you, and you
will
come to me. I want to be your friend Zara, until you will let me love you. That’s all I ask, friendship?”

“Thank you Parrise, your friendship would mean the world to me.”

He stands with me placing me gently on my feet as he
goes to the CD player and selects a track.

“One dance before you go, is all I ask, love?”

“I would love to.”

I step into him as
he tenderly puts his arms around my waist, as my own hand’s lay on his muscular shoulders.

“I love you Zara.” He tells me full of passion.

I
stop dancing as we stare in to each other’s eyes. I can no longer resist him the pull is to strong. He is my forbidden love and I really do love him wholeheartedly. Tears stream down my face as I step into him tenderly kissing his cool lips. His hand cradles my head deepening the kiss. I savor every heart breaking moment, as I know it will be the last. It is a kiss of goodbye.

I break away from him leaning my forehead into his chest; taking a deep breath of the mesmerizing smell of him flooding my scenes. I lift my eyes to meet his one last time, as my heart skips a beat, he is everything I have ever wanted, needed.

“I love you Parrise, truly I do. I’m sorry this hurts you, it does me also, so much. I will be here for you always, I promise this to you. Please forgive me for this, you are perfection in every way, I am not. You deserve more Parrise.”

“Dallah.”

Chapter 15

Parrise

As I’m holding my beautiful Zara, her eyes brimming with tears as she breaks our kiss, telling me of her love and regret and then she calls out a name ‘Dallah’. Our eyes meet, my own questioning hers, as I’m about to ask her who this Dallah is, she’s gone! The only Dallah I know of is Dallah the Princess of the light Coven, but it cannot be her.

For the first time in centuries fear ripped through me. Who has taken my Zara, and why? Did she call on them to take her? I need to make her mine, as she belongs with me, not Sallack as he is just a glorified dog! With me, she would be treated like a queen. Sallack is not the man that Zara sees him as; he is a ruthless Alpha of his Wolf pack, killing other packs that encroach on his territory. I heard of Sallack and his brothers’ avenging their Alphas murder and took out the entire enemy pack existing of 20 or more members including their Alpha, they did this all as pups, teenagers. Anyone can see he is a powerful and strong Alpha, I will give him that. My kind have strength, speed and immortality on our side, so I have time to wait for Sallack to fuck things up, I will be there to step in, rip him apart and take what is rightfully mine, Zara!

From the first moment I looked into her beautiful eyes, I knew I could never hurt her. The very though makes my skin crawl.

There is something different about
Zara from other humans, something unique, and I vow to find out what it is.

Lucien walks back in the room his head held high.

“Oh good, the humans gone,” He utters in disgust, Noting Zara’s absence.

I do not
have to raise a finger this time, Angus has hit him in the face, and the sound of his bone crunching brings a smile to my face. Angus grabs him by the hair dragging him from the room.

Lucien was here as a favor to a friend of mine, who wanted me to teach him some respect I doubt he will ever learn, if I don’t return him soon I’ll end him, which might upset his Sire.

“Master,” A human woman says walking in obediently. I have drunk from her many times and also enjoyed sex with her, as she’s most attractive, but since my first kiss with Zara, I’m not interested in anything more than sustenance. As I pull her onto my lap and begin my assault on her throat, a moan of pleasure escapes her lips, if only this was my beautiful Zara, the pleasure I could give her.

The venom that excretes with a Vampires bite creates an orgasmic effect in the human body, which intensifies during sex. It is a power that few Vampires have or even use, most Vampires my age do not care for the human they feed from, but I like to watch the women enjoying me bite her, on occasion.

As her hand slips inside my shirt to stroke my chest it brings me back to reality, this is not my beautiful
Zara!

I retract my fangs and briskly push her from me disgusted.
I send her back to the human quarters on the lower level. The woman that choose to stay here are treated excellently, Angus and I make them feel special.

Angus and I have human staff stay here with us, there is a man and a married couple, plus the woman whom choose to stay here, and let us feed from them. All the humans have worked for us for generations. They are bought up knowing what is real and what fairytale is. They are trusted wholly, they know if they deceive us it’s the last act they will make before I pull their heads clean of their bodies.

Demitri our sire turned both Angus and me over 900 years ago. He is an evil Vampire whom sees fit to act as God to the other Vampires weaker than himself and what he says goes, unfortunately. As Angus’s sire, and mine he can make us do as he wishes and we have to power against him, which he has used against us for many years.

“Parrise my friend you look troubled?”

“Yes I am. Would you keep an eye in Zara for me? until I can get her away from dogs.”

“Yes of course.”

“She will be mine one day Angus, I can feel it” I tell him passionately.

“There is something about her, makes you want to look after her, it’s a strange feeling!” Angus tells me a little taken back.

“Ah you’re under her charm Angus.” I tell him with a smile.

I head to my bedroom. I get out a pen and paper and write a short letter to Zara, for Angus to give to her.

I know she wants to be with me, she loves me. I do not have to read her mind to know that, the smell of her arousal and the tightening of her nipples against my chest reveal's all I need to know. I now have to wait for the Alpha dog to fuck up, so I can have my little one with me in my arms where she belongs. Her perfect body held against my own, her eyes blazing once again with love for me.

O
ne day she will come to me.

She is MINE.

Zara

Dallah has bought me to my bedroom. hugging me tightly while I cry into her shoulder.

“I’m sorry sweetie.”

Wiping my eyes on the back of
my hand, I try to smile at her but I fail. I’m the one who told him I couldn’t be with him. I have to give up my love for Parrise for my love to Sallack. Nevertheless, my heart begs for him. The look on his face as I disappeared smashed my heart into pieces, but as painful it is, I know it is for the best, or at least I hope.

“No, don’t be sorry, I want to thank you for giving me the chance to see him, I’m just sad that it will never be. I really love him Dallah.”

“I can see you do, but you did the right thing for now.”

Dallah has become the sister I have never had, and always wanted, as well as a mother and best friend. We sit on my bed and I tell her everything that was said between Parrise and I, and the pull I feel to him.

She listens with an open heart, reassuring me that a friendship is the bes
t thing, and it is. I want to stay with Den and be with Sallack. He makes me feel as cherished and loved, as feel for him, not to mention the pack brothers’, I hold them all in my heart.

“Zara I need to tell you things about yourself to make you understand.”

What the hell!
“Um, ok?” I say sounding a little nervous.

I look at her and she smiles sweetly, I can’t help but relax my face from sadness and concern.

“You need to open your mind and heart, ok?”

I nod my head ‘Y
es’ to her. Oh shit I have a bad feeling about this. Dallah speaks with a smile and her eyes dazzle in excitement,

“There is a woman known as a ‘Charmer’ she is blessed to our races when we are in need of her, she is a gift like no other. No one knows the whole truth of her greatness, but I will tell you what I know. The Charmer is much like the word, charming. The Charmer is blessed with beauty of a Goddess; her heart is pure and strong. She will fight for those she loves as a Warrior, and those Warriors’ will love her in return and stand at her side, love her unconditionally. She loves these men from the first moment they reveal their true self. All of the Warriors are blessed with male beauty, Perfection. Her downfall being; if she is to choose the Warrior not meant for her and he breaks her heart it will be magnified to that of an average heart, unspeakable sorrow.”

She squeezes my hand, from seeing the look of sadness on my face. What a horrible thought, to fee
l so badly broken by a man. Whoever she speaks of, I’m sure as hell glad it’s not me! Dallah carries on,

“The strongest Warriors will want her as his, but the Charmer is only meant for the strongest and most worthy of all the men. She is not attracted to humans, as she is meant to be with a supernatural Warrior and she will only find these Warriors attractive. She is connected to a Princess of the supernatural, so that the Princess can teach and take care of the Charmer, In return the Princess is given the ability of all power unimaginable. They will love one another as family, fight together as Warriors, and be sisters like no others. The Princess will share her heart and soul with the Charmer as will the Charmer to the Princess as equals.”

“You are connected to this Charmer?”

“You and I are connected, yes.”

“This is a joke right! Surly you don’t think this Charmer is me!”

“No…”

Oh thank
God!

“…I know it’s you, from the first time I set eyes on you. I accepted you into my heart as you did me.”

Shit, she’s being serious, I can’t be this person. She is mistaken!
Hugely mistaken!

“I’m sorry Dallah, this is wrong, I am none of those things, I’m just the new girl from England, that’s why everyone is sniffing around me, your see, they will get bored soon.” I tell her, trying to convince myself, not that it’s working. Everything she is saying is like filling in the missing gaps! Like why I am only attracted to Werewolves and Vampires!

“No sweetie, it’s you alright. There is no other like you. We all hear fairytales of the Charmer one day coming to us, many believe, many don’t. Zara you are the Charmer, I know you are, I know you love Parrise and all the brothers’ unconditionally, it’s what you’re meant to do Zara, it’s why you came here to the brothers’, why you met me. Feel the truth in my words though our connection.”

“Connection? This is too much to take in.” I say, massaging my temples, trying to stop my head from exploding with knowledge.

“Yes it was your destiny to find me, and mine to find you, to connect to one another, as well as the Warriors that surround you. If you open your heart and mind you will feel what I feel.”

The scary realization of her speaking the truth hits me hard! I’m connected to a Warrior Princess who happens to be a powerful Witch! I’m a fucking Charmer! No, I’m screwed!

After only spending a week with the pack brothers’, I went home with unconditional love for them all, not to mention Sallack and Parrise. I would lay my life down for any one of them.

“What does this mean? Why would the strongest man want me? I have nothing to offer, I’m not worthy of them!”

“You have more than any woman known. You will love their families like your own. You are immortal and have been since birth, so that you can live you your life with your chosen. They will respect and honor you, as they would no other. You are a rightful queen to your chosen, gifted to him, to stand at his side.”

“Immortality?” I screech.

“Yes,” She says with a ghost of a smile.

I
instantly think of Den, the brothers and Parrise; I can’t live alone without them?

“What if a Werewolf is my chosen, Sallack said they live for 200 years. I would be left alone, broken and what of Den, I need him with me always!”

“No Zara, you would give the Wolf and his brother’s immortality, plus strength tenfold. If your chosen is to be a Vampire, you will give him and the ones he holds close, the great gift of day walking. Then there is the Warlock, if you are to be with a Warlock Zara, you will give him and his chosen family greater power, and if he is not immortal because of his family, then you will give him immortality also.”

“I can do that! How?” I ask desperately, I want to know how to give this to the brothers and to be able to give Parrise the chance to walk in the sun makes my heart swell.

“It will only be given when you’re either mated, bonded or connected to you chosen.”

“Wow this is unreal! Do Parrise and Sallack know this, the reason they both want me, and I want them?”

“No, it’s only known to you and me. They love you for you, not because of what you can offer. As a Charmer, and them as worthy men, they instantly saw the real you, the love you show, your caring and kind nature but also the fighting side, that’s why they fell in love with you so quickly, and vice versa. These warriors will love and cherish you, take care of you, if they treat you with the respect you deserve you will love them in return. It’s a gift, don’t think of it as a curse. I see the love you have for the pack brothers’, and them for you, that’s because they are all worthy of you also Zara, but there could be dozens, hundreds of men worthy to have you as theirs. Sweetie not all of these men will be kind hearted, it’s up to you as a Charmer to show them love. You will find your chosen, but it maybe centuries before you find him, I can promise that he would be worth the wait.”

So that’s why I feel this way to all the brothers’, well it makes sense I suppose. The fact that I really do love them all unconditionally after such a small amount of time was starting to freak me out.

“So Sallack may not be the one?”

“Only time will tell Zara.”

Wow, not sure how I feel about that, it’s a scary thought! I really do love Sallack, but I also love Parrise. I
do not want to mess up finding my chosen, but I think Sallack is the one, I am sure of it.

“What do you mean, ‘Time will tell’?”

“If Sallack is your chosen, he will give you everything, and you him”

“Do you think he is?”

“This is what you need to find out sweetie.”

“So why exactly am I taking all of this so well?”

“You’re excepting Zara; it’s in your nature as a Charmer, you will absorb the importance of your role as Charmer effortlessly.”

Well, that makes me feel better, because I’m more freaked out about why I’m
not
freaked out!

“Ok…..So what are we now?” I feel bad keep throwing questions at her, but she looks pleased.

“We are sisters by joining of souls, I will be the one person who really knows what you feel in your heart without words. I will defend you and cherish the gift I have of being chosen to be at your side. The stone around your neck is made by my magic as your sister, It’s a gift of our connecting to one another, just as you gifted me.”

Well way to take my mind of Parrise. I don’t know if I should be scared or exited. I was just a normal human hours ago, now I’m an immortal Charmer with the Princess of the Witches and Warlocks as my sister! I will fall in love with dozens, maybe hundreds of men, and maybe go through horrific heartbreak? That’s what scares me! Sallack wouldn’t put me through that, I’m sure of it.

Un-be-live-able.

“So that’s why you whispered ‘sister’ to me when we first met.”

She nods her head once with a proud grin.
Wow, I have a sister, not by blood but by everyway unimaginable!

“Can I ask you something Dallah?”

“Yes.”

“When I first met you, you asked if I remember
her
,
my mother! Do you know why she left me? Where she is now?”

“Aw sweetie, when I looked into your heart I saw the missing piece, being your mother. I’m sorry you had to go through that. She must be a selfish woman to have given you up.”

She moves closer, holding me a little tighter. Just as I need to be held, as the heartache of having no parents as a young child was hard. However, having
Den there a little later in my life bought happiness and love into my life that I had missed out on.

“What about my father?”

“Your father would be supernatural, for you to be a Charmer your father would have to be a Warlock, Vampire or Werewolf. I don’t know what he is. Before you ask, that fact does not make you part anything, you’re the Charmer, this is your gift.”

I look at her open mouthed, shocked beyond possibility.
I was thinking exactly that I could be half vampire or Werewolf even a Witch. My
Dad
could be any supernatural: bind-blown. I would love to know what my father is, if I will ever get to meet him. I wonder if I look like him.

“Do you think he knows of me, my birth? Me being the Charmer?”

“He wouldn’t know of you being the Charmer. Depending on whether he stayed with your mother or not, there is no way to know if he knew of your birth, but I doubt it sweetie.”

“I don’t understand?”

“Well if your father is Vampire, he would think it impossible to have a child, as Vampires are not given the gift of fertility. In this case a Vampire could be your father just as much as a Warlock or Werewolf. The gift of producing a Charmer is given by a strong and worthy man, with any power, of any background. There is no way to know if you will find out his identity sweetie, I’m sorry this upsets you.” She tells me as tears fall down her cheeks, mirroring my own.

How has my world changed so dramatically in such a small amount of time, I know what Dallah tells me is the truth. However, it’s a lot to take in, a mother who never wanted me, and a father that could be, Vampire, Werewolf or a fucking Warlock! I want to scream with frustration. Why was I given this gift?
