“Please don’t say anything,” she said.

“I’m not going to say anything. There’s nothing to say,

and it’s no one’s business but your own.” He took her hand

and placed a small kiss across her knuckles. Adam wanted

her to be comfortable when she was around him.

“I’ve not done anything, and I’m terrified about the

scenes we have to share. During my career I’ve only had to

kiss, not do any of
these
scenes.”

“Would you like to perform them in private before we

get to them?” he asked.

“I’d like that.”

“Are you a virgin?” He couldn’t help but ask. She’d

27

never done any intimate scenes, and they made her

nervous. She was only nervous ’cause she didn’t know

what to actually do, right? Shit, he was out of his depth.

This was why he loved action movies. There was no room

for him to connect to anyone or even like them.

Sarah was the first woman he had real chemistry with.

He cared about her.

“Yes, I am. It’s probably silly in this industry, but I

am.” “It’s not silly.” Unusual, sure, not silly though.

She took a deep breath. “So, how do you want to work

this?”

“Kiss me.”

Her gaze moved to his lips, then back up again.

“Just kiss you?”

“Yes.”

Sarah placed her hand on his thigh, leaning in close.

His heart started to race, and his dick had a mind of its

own, wanting her hands on his body. Adam was attracted

to her. Fuck! He’d known it all week that they had

chemistry. Watching the scenes play back to them after

each one, he couldn’t deny it. There was something

between them that just lit up onscreen. When he was with

her, he didn’t want it to end. She’d gotten underneath his

skin, and he felt protective of her. Adam had even gotten

Niles to stop newspapers running scathing reports about

them.

He didn’t want to see her cry.

The moment her lips hit his, he couldn’t resist

reaching out, and sinking his fingers into her hair. She

jerked back, and placed a hand to her lips. “Sorry.”

“Don’t be sorry. We’re supposed to kiss normally, like

28

friends, and then the kisses are supposed to be hot, sexy.”

She nodded. “I’m not used to this.”

“It’s why we’re doing this.” Cupping her cheek, he

leaned in close and claimed her lips. He didn’t brush his

lips against hers. At first her hand went to his shoulder as if to push him away. Slowly, he deepened the kiss, licking his tongue across her bottom lip. She gasped, opening up, and

he took advantage, sliding his tongue inside.

She moaned, and he groaned.

Kissing Sarah was like heaven. He held her face with

both hands, kissing her and feeling more in a simple kiss

than he ever had fucking random women or costars. With

Sarah it all felt real, not fake. Kissing her was an addiction, and he didn’t want to stop. She was beautiful, hot, and he

wanted to claim her.

Pulling away, he sucked her bottom lip into his mouth

before finally letting her go.

“Wow,” she said, licking her lips.

His cock thickened. “You’re a fantastic kisser.”

She chuckled. “I doubt that. You did everything.”

He’d not let her face go. “Do you want to try again?”

“Is it wrong that I do?”

“No, not at all.” He wanted it. Damn, he wanted to

strip her naked, kiss every inch of her body.

For the next two hours all they did was kiss. Adam

guided her, trying his hardest to teach her how to kiss, or at least pretending to teach her. Sarah was amazing. Her lips

on his had him hard as rock. Sitting down with her gaze on

his face gave him the opportunity to hide the fact he was

turned on.

“Do you want a drink?” she asked.

He glanced over at the time to see it was after ten. “I

29

better head back to my trailer. Raincheck on the drink.”

“Sure. It’s getting late, and I’m tired.”

Her lips were red from their kisses. Standing up, he

moved toward her, dropping a kiss on her lips. “See you

tomorrow, baby.”

“You’re a very good actor, Adam. The action movies

were lost on you.” He waited until she locked the door to

her trailer before heading back to his own. She thought he

was acting with her. Kissing her was the most natural thing in the world. He was so damn aroused, and wanted a hell

of a lot more with her. Once he was locked away in his

trailer, he removed his jeans and took his dick in hand.

Sliding his hand up and down the shaft, he closed his eyes

and imagined it was Sarah before him. In his mind it was

her hand sliding up and down his shaft, bringing him

pleasure.

He played a fantasy out, thinking of her taking him

into her mouth and working the tip. It didn’t take him long to find his release, and he grunted as he spilled his seed

onto the floor. He’d been so impatient that he’d not even

made it to the bathroom.

When it came to Sarah, he truly was fucked.

The days passed, and during location she got to spend

her evenings in her hotel room. The movie was developing

wonderfully, and Mitch had nothing but great things to say.

The romance had already started playing out, and when

they needed to do some rewrites Adam didn’t make waves.

Throughout the day, Adam treated her like a friend,

getting her coffee, chatting with her. No one would have

30

any idea what they did at night.

Around eight at night, he knocked on her hotel room,

and for three to four hours they practiced out some kissing scenes. When they were alone, he teased, joked, and made

each encounter fun. She loved those moments, and she

loved kissing him. In fact, the best part of her day was at night when they were alone.

“Are you okay?” he asked.

She nodded, staring down at the script. Mitch had told

her that they needed to perform one of the intimate scenes

today, and she hadn’t been prepared. Dean wasn’t

available, as Martha had more chemo today. She didn’t

want to pull him out because she was nervous about

actually pretending to have sex.

There had been some kind of timing error, and the

hotel they were using as the set for the conference scene

wouldn’t be available in a couple of months.

In this scene, David and Piper were going to argue

about her flirting with his business associates. It was an

important point within the movie as it was the first scene

where they really let go. All of their chemistry had been

building to this one point.

“You look like you’re going to be sick.”

“Has Mitch told you?” She chanced a look at him.

“He’s told me, and you don’t need to worry.”

“We’ve got to have angry sex across a conference

table, with you spanking my ass. It’s not exactly loving.”

He chuckled. “Babe, we’ve got this, and you’ve got to

learn to trust me.”

“I do trust you. We’ve not exactly practiced this,

though. I can’t help but be nervous.”

Adam sighed. “We’ll see what happens, and then we’ll

31

Sam Crescent

talk about what to do afterward.”

They didn’t have much longer to talk as Mitch called

for them to start. Placing her coffee on the small table

beside her chair, she walked onto the set. She wore four-

inch heels, and the pencil skirt hugged every single inch of her body. The white blouse stretched over her breasts. The

wardrobe department had fitted her with white lace.

When she’d taken a look at herself in the mirror, she

thought she looked sexy. Now, she just felt like a whale.

Her diet had to be put on hold as Mitch wasn’t making a

movie for skinny women. He was making a real movie,

with a real woman.

Taking a seat, she ran fingers through her hair and

picked up the notebook and pen. In her mind she was a

nervous wreck, yet she picked her character up easily.

Piper was the kind of woman she always wanted to be.

Hot, sexy, and had an attitude. According to the script,

Piper was the kind of woman men wanted. She was a

whore in the bedroom, and a lady in the kitchen.

Adam took his seat at the head of the table, and Mitch

shouted for the room to be silent. After several seconds, he called the fated words of action. He wanted to do one run-through of the scene, and then he’d start picking it apart.

“I’m sure David doesn’t mind doing his research. He’s

thorough like that. It’s how he’s made his company,

building it up.” She ran a pen across her bottom lip, tilting her head to the side.

Several of the men gave chuckles. The scene played

out with Adam snapping at her, making her serve coffee.

Ten minutes later, she was taking the cups from the table

toward the tea-making set. She ignored the cameras even

as her heart pounded.

“What the fuck are you doing?” Adam asked.

Turning around, she glared at him. “Me? What about

you? I’m your PA. I’m not some tea lady. You completely

insulted and humiliated me.”

“I got rid of you. Your flirting was giving the wrong

impression!”

“Flirting? I was doing no such thing. Haven’t you

known people to be nice because they can be?” She

finished placing the cups on the tea set and moved toward

him. “What is your problem? You’ve been snapping,

yelling, and being overbearing throughout this whole trip.

If you didn’t want me to come, then say so.”

“I don’t want you flirting.”

“I’m not flirting.”

“What’s with the whole pen running across your lip?”

“I’m thinking.”

“That’s not thinking. It’s a come on.”

She snorted. “The only thing you know is women

coming onto you. I wasn’t thinking sex or anything else.”

Before she could finish her sentence, Adam grabbed

her and hauled her up against him. “You may not be

thinking sex but every other man was, and they wanted

inside you.”

Sarah gasped, and Adam was kissing her, sinking his

fingers into her hair, and ravishing her mouth.

It’s a scene. It’s a scene. It’s a scene.

Remembering the script, she started fighting him, and

throughout it all Adam kissed her. Slowly she stopped

fighting, and melted against him. He turned her and lifted

her onto the table, pushing her skirt up her thighs.

“Fuck me, Piper. I need this. I need you.” He grabbed

her shirt, and tore it open. “Fuck, you’re perfect.”

There was some fumbling with his jeans, and then they

were imitating two people having sex. Her pussy was on

fire, wishing it was for real.

“Cut!” Mitch shouted the word, and Adam paused,

resting his head against hers. “That was perfect.”

Adam helped her off the table, getting her ready so she

could go and watch the scene unfold.

Her nerves were shattered, and she was so aroused,

she struggled to hide it.

What did surprise her was the fact Adam had been

rock hard when he pressed against her. What did that

mean?

Chapter Five

Adam knocked on Sarah’s door and ran fingers

through his hair. Today had been fucking intense. His dick

had never been so fucking hard, with no chance of getting

any reprieve. During his career he’d fucked many women,

and even done the whole sex thing on set. Never had he

been into a scene like he was today. At the last minute he

had to stop himself from pulling her panties out of the way and fucking her.

She opened the door, and she wore a robe. “Hey,” she

said. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing. I’m just feeling a little out of it.”

He closed the door and watched her. She’d been in

either the shower or bath as her hair was wet. Her legs

were bare beneath the robe. Before coming to her hotel

room, he’d been thinking of the ways he could tell her he

wanted to do more than act with her.

“There’s something I want to tell you,” he said.

“What is it? Was it about today? Was I horrible?” She

winced and cringed, and he hated it.

“No, it wasn’t about today. There’s something I want

to tell you, and you can kick me out.”

“You’re making me nervous.”

“I want you.” There, he’d said it.

“What?”

He’d never been one to talk about his feelings, and

right now he was finding it difficult to tell her what he

35

Sam Crescent

actually wanted to say. “Today, it was hard for me.”

She groaned. “It was my fault, wasn’t it? I was really

bad, and you hated acting with me. I knew I should have

called Dean. I’m really sorry.”

Unable to find the words, he placed his hand on her

waist and pulled her in close. His cock pressed against her.

“This is what I’m trying to say.”

She looked down between them. “What?”

“I want you, Sarah. I’ve wanted you from the moment

I first saw you.”

“The audition?”

“Yes, the audition, and every other moment between. I

want you, Sarah.”

“You keep saying want but I don’t know exactly—”

“I want to fuck you. When we’re apart, it’s all I think
