“Yes.”

Her fingertips explored along his six-pack. Then she kissed his stomach and breathed in his scent. She moved herself down to sit on his legs. His hard cock stood out in front of her. Jewel hesitantly touched his silky skin with the hardness underneath.

“You can hold me tighter. It won’t hurt me,” Aleron encouraged her.

“Like this?” She tightened her grip.

“Yes.” He put his hand around hers and showed her how to move her hand up and down. The flash of fire in his dark eyes and his throaty groan denoted his pleasure.

She smiled. “I like being in control.”

“Baby, cup my balls gently with one hand and hold my cock firmly in the other and you will have me totally under your control.”

“Really?” Jewel cupped his sac in one hand as he’d said. She felt his balls move slightly. Her other hand continued to move up and down his cock’s length.

“You’re sweating. Are you sure I’m not hurting you?”

“I’m sure, my love.” He spoke through clenched teeth. “I’m trying not to lose my control before I pleasure you.”

“But you like this?”

“Absolutely.”

Jewel noticed the liquid at the top of his cock. She leaned forward and licked. Aleron’s cock jerked. She glanced at his face before deciding to take him into her mouth. She’d heard from a few girlfriends that men liked it, but she’d never imagined wanting to try.

She lowered her head and took him in her mouth as far as possible. Her tongue licked the sides. Aleron took hold of her head and showed her how to move up and down his length. She did and found she liked the taste of him and pleasing him. He moaned several more times as she also gently caressed his balls.

“Stop.”

“Why?” Jewel looked up and asked.

“Because I want to be in your sweet pussy now.”

“Oh, all right, spoilsport.” She grinned at his muffled laugh.

He flipped her under him and put two fingers into her opening. “You’re wet and hot.” He positioned his cock and slowly slid inside her pussy.

She felt her inner walls stretch trying to accommodate his large cock. “Will we fit?” she asked.

“Oh, yes. I’ll go slow.” He leaned down and nipped at her nipple.

Warmth and desire curled inside her. She wiggled to take more of him in. “You feel good.” She put her hands on his butt and pulled him toward her.

“Slow and easy, baby. We want this to be a very good experience.” He leaned his face close to hers. “Because I’m going to want to do this every chance we get.”

Jewel’s inner walls gradually loosened as his cock went in deeper. She raised her hips, and he slid in the rest of the way. Then he began to deliberately move slowly in and out.

She clenched and unclenched around his cock in time with his forward glide and then withdrawal. A tightness built inside her. She encouraged him to move faster.

Aleron pulled back and plunged in hard and fast. The change had her pulse racing. She rose to meet his moves and take him in as deep as she could.

The glide of his smooth cock in and out had her pussy rippling with pleasure. Her control had slipped, and her body took over. She held his butt tight in her hands, pressing him closer and closer. An ache stirred deep in her core and spread like fire, snapping along her veins until she exploded with a pulsing pleasure that saturated every cell in her body.

He continued to thrust faster and faster, sending her pleasure spiraling higher. She heard him yell out his satisfaction. He held himself tight against her womb. Her body shook with the intensity of emotion and tears wet her cheeks.

Aleron had his face against the side of hers. He jerked up and looked at her. “Did I hurt you? I’m sorry. I lost control at the end.”

“No, no. You were wonderful. The emotions just overwhelmed me. But I’m fine, really.”

His face relaxed. “I thought you might say never again, and, baby, I won’t ever get enough of you.” He lightly kissed her lips.

They lay wrapped in each other’s arms for long minutes. Finally, Jewel raised her head. “We’d better shower and dress. I have to see the leaders soon. Elle will think you’ve talked me out of it.”

He kissed her neck. “If you insist. I’d like to stay right here.”

“Me, too, but we can’t.” She got out of bed and went to the bathroom.

Aleron heard the shower. He sat up and reached for his phone. Before she talked with Mitch and anyone else, she ought to tell Raoul. He dialed Raoul’s number.

“Hi, where are you?” Raoul asked.

“At Jewel’s cabin. Can you come here now? There’s something you need to hear from Jewel before she talks with the leaders.”

“You can’t tell me?”

“No.”

“I’ll be there.” Raoul hung up, and Aleron snapped his cell closed. He lay back and thought about Jewel. He’d never experienced sexual desire and satisfaction to the extent he had today with her. All his married friends, from his tribe, had been correct about the response he’d have when he found the right mate. The intensity, taste, touch, and emotions were all heightened.

He’d felt when she fully relaxed and opened to him. If he knew who’d hurt her before, he’d tear the man apart.
What an asshole.

Aleron had never treated any woman so callously, and being a sex-driven teenager was hardly an excuse. Whoever it was hadn’t liked her, and he probably thought she had been rude to him because of her shyness. He must have decided he’d fix her. Immature, stupid, dangerous to women, period.
I’d bet wherever he is now, he still treats women as objects. Well, I might as well forget him.
Jewel won’t tell us his identity.

“Why are you frowning so fiercely?” Jewel stood by the bed.

“Sorry. My thoughts were on that stupid jerk that hurt you.”

“Forget him. I have. You’ve erased him from my memory.” She leaned down and kissed him. He grabbed her and tumbled her onto the bed for another kiss.

“Let me up. I have to get dressed.”

“We both do. Raoul will be here shortly.” He rolled off the bed and went into the bathroom. Jewel followed.

“You called him.”

“I did. Don’t you want him to hear about your secret before it gets out to others? He’ll be hurt if you don’t tell him first.”

“I’m already getting tired of telling others. After I’ve told him and the leaders, someone else can explain my secret to whoever has a need to know.”

“That will be few if you decide to try and fool the enemy.”

The water rinsed off the soap on Aleron’s body. He grabbed a towel and got out. “Go dress. Raoul will be here any minute.”

They’d just finished and gone into the living room when Raoul came striding in the door. “What’s up?” He looked from Aleron to Jewel and sniffed the air.

“Oh, all right, so we made love. You don’t have to circle us and sniff and make all kinds of innuendos.” She felt her cheeks flush.

Raoul laughed. “You are so easy to get to talk and tell me what I want to know.”

Jewel charged him and punched him in the arm. “Don’t laugh at me.” She started to cry.

“Sweetheart, I didn’t mean to hurt you. I’m sorry. I like to joke. And both of you looked so satisfied I knew instantly. It’s all right. We don’t get jealous of each other.” He raised his head and looked across at Aleron.

“She’s crying because she gets nervous when she has to tell the secret she’s kept hidden for years.” Aleron picked Jewel up and sat on the couch holding her. “You want me to tell him?”

She nodded and wiped her eyes. “Or I can. I hate crying. It’s such a weakling response.”

“You’ve had enough stress lately to weaken a strong man. We don’t see you as weak,” Aleron said. “Raoul, have a seat. This will take a few minutes.” Aleron told Raoul all that happened at the Priestess’s house.

Raoul leaned forward in his chair. “You can shape-shift?”

“Yes.” Jewel slipped off Aleron’s lap and shifted. Her cheetah slinked across the room and rubbed along Raoul’s leg. Just when he started to touch her, she shifted to her small cat and jumped onto his lap.

“Damn.” Raoul jumped back in his chair. His fingers brushed across her colorful fur. “You’re the prettiest thing I’ve seen in a long time.”

With her small claws she climbed up his T-shirt and licked his neck then purred. He shouted with laughter and took her in his hands. He rubbed his nose against hers. Her lilac eyes stared back at him.

“Put her down, Raoul, and let her change. We have to discuss one more thing before going to the ranch house,” Aleron said.

Raoul put her gently down on the floor. She shifted back. This time she talked. She told Raoul how she was going to help in the fight. His reaction was the same as Aleron’s had been.

“Cool it,” Aleron said. “She and I have argued it out. If the leaders say she can help, we can’t stop her. Too many lives might be saved with her assistance.”

“I still don’t like the idea,” Raoul said.

“Get used to it. I’ve given it some thought and I’m sure Mitch and the other leaders will agree with her. She can be a valuable asset, especially in her small cat. I’ll call Mitch and tell him we need a meeting with him and the other leaders.” Aleron put in the call, and Mitch answered.

“You want a meeting, but you can’t tell me why?” Mitch asked.

“We’re coming to the ranch house and need to meet in the conference room downstairs.” He glanced at Jewel. “We’re bringing Jewel to visit with the other ladies. We can’t leave her alone.”

“I’ll let the others know. See you.” Mitch rang off.

“Let’s go,” Aleron said. “He’s contacting the others.” Aleron locked up, and the three of them got into the truck. Raoul drove, and Jewel sat in the center. Her sweet scent tantalized Aleron. If it was a normal day, he’d have kept her in bed for much longer. One time didn’t start to appease his hunger.

Raoul glanced across at Aleron over Jewel’s head. Aleron read the question in his eyes. He smiled and nodded. Raoul would want to entice Jewel into his bed now. Aleron didn’t have any idea how Jewel would react. Tonight he’d encourage Raoul to be patient a little longer. But he knew how he’d feel if Raoul had already loved her and he hadn’t.

Chapter Six

Sara greeted them at the ranch house. “Everyone is already downstairs in the meeting room. They were all here when you called. Jewel, you can join us in the study.”

Aleron put his arm around her shoulders. “No. I said that to Mitch to throw anyone off if they were listening to our phone conversations. We don’t know what abilities they might have to intercept our calls. I wasn’t going to take any chances. I’m probably just being paranoid.” He grinned at Sara. “She’s coming to the meeting with us.”

“Sure. All right. We’ll see you later, Jewel.” Sara headed back toward the study.

As they walked to the elevator, Aleron felt Jewel shiver. “Are you all right?” They stepped into the empty platform and pushed the button for down.

“I’m nervous about telling them.” She licked her lips. Aleron had to fight the urge to kiss her. Now wasn’t the time. Instead he hugged her to him. “Raoul and I will be there. Nothing will happen to you.”

“I know.” She smiled at both of them and reached out to take Raoul’s hand.

Aleron let go of her, and she stepped into Raoul’s arms. Maybe she was ready to accept both of them.

All eyes turned to Jewel and the two men on either side of her when they entered the conference room. Jewel glanced from face to face. Elle, Cad, Garth, Lann, Mitch, and Daren, plus a number of warriors from all three tribes had gathered in the room.

“I hope you don’t mind that I included some more of our men. When I talked to Elle she said this would be an important meeting. If you’d rather they leave, I can send them upstairs. I see you’ve brought Jewel with you.”

“Yes. What I said on the phone was a cover to protect her,” Aleron explained. “Jewel, what do you think about the others?”

She looked around the room at the many warriors waiting to hear her secret. It was overwhelming. “Can we add one more? I’d like my father to be present.”

“Sure,” Daren said. “I’ll call him.” Daren stepped to the side of the room to make the call.

Mitch took her hand. “You seem tense. Would you like a cup of coffee? Remember we’re all family here in this room.”

“I know. Thank you, the coffee sounds good.”

“Your dad will be here in a few minutes,” Daren said. “I’m going to eat one of Tessa’s wonderful chocolate-chip cookies and have another cup of coffee. Is anyone going to join me?”

Most of the men got up and refilled their coffee and grabbed a cookie. Jewel’s stomach rejected the idea of any food. She was scared to tell these big men her secret. They didn’t know her or care about her like Raoul and Aleron. Their reaction to her being a shape-shifter might be completely different. The fear her father had instilled in her was well engrained. Glancing at the door, she saw her father step through the doorway.

“Daddy.” She ran to his side and pulled him away from the crowd. Quickly she explained about Elle’s suspicions and telling Raoul and Aleron. “Elle thinks I can help find the enemy here inside our fences by using my small cat,” she whispered to him. Concern flashed across his face. “I know what you’re thinking. I’ve already gone through it with Raoul and Aleron.” She took her father’s hand. “I have to do what I can to save lives.”
