Tom let out a whoop that startled his son. He laughed when Finn’s chin quivered and ignored his newly betrothed in favor of smothering their baby in contrite kisses. At last, he planted one on her, pulling away with an exuberant grin. “Come on, we only have a few hours.
Wanna
squeeze in one last round of pre-marital relations?”
Maggie snorted and gave him a playful shove, knocking him onto his ass. “Are you kidding? I’m getting married this afternoon. I have a zillion things to do.”
Clutching the baby to his chest, he scrambled to his feet as she rose. “Do me first.”
“Yeah, right.” She sashayed toward the bedroom, calling over her shoulder, “Where did you put my ring?” Her smile widened when she heard his put-upon sigh and heel-scuffing steps.
“See, this is what happens, Finn. First, you have to practically beg to get them to commit, then the minute they do, they start demanding jewelry.”
