“Teething.” Lexi smiled as she leaned over to jot down Tylenol on the list.

“And how’s my beautiful wife this morning?” Ace slipped an arm around her waist and hugged her.

“Cranky. José kept me up most of the night.” She leaned over and planted a kiss on her husband’s lips. “But I wouldn’t trade one minute of it.”

“Me either.” Ace grinned, his heart swelling with joy. “I love you, Mrs. Valdez.”

Her eyes softened. “I love you too, Ace. Always and forever.”
