Debra had to admit that losing him had probably been the best thing to happen to her. The only thing she missed was the oceanfront view the apartment had provided. With Bianca’s help, they had found her a nice condo within walking distance of the Beaumont Hotel.

When it was finally her time to board the coach bus, Debra climbed the stairs, greeted the driver sitting behind the wheel, then moved down the aisle. The bus was practically full. She moved back and looked from one side to the next until she spotted the only available seat left.

Right next to Mr. Tall and Sexy.

“Have a seat,” he said and patted the leather seat beside him.

Debra groaned. The last thing she wanted was to have small talk all the way to the port. But it was either sit down or wait for the next bus to board. She definitely did not want to go back outside. The sun was fierce and sweat was already settling between her breasts. Besides, if she got off the bus the handsome stranger would know he’d intimidated her, and that was the last thing she wanted.

Reluctantly, she lowered her bags to the floor under the seat in front of her and slid onto the cushion beside him. As she shifted, she accidently brushed his arm. A shiver skated across her skin.

“Taking this trip alone?”

“Why?” she asked defensively.

He held up his hands in surrender. “Hey, I was just asking. My bad.”

Debra took a long breath. She was being ridiculous and knew it. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to bite off your head. I just took this trip to be by myself.”

“No problem.”

He went back to looking out the window and she sat there feeling like a heel.

“I’m sorry for being so rude. I’m Debra.”

He turned his head and looked over at her with an irresistible grin. “I’m Rance.”

“Nice to meet you, Rance.” She returned his smile and ignored the banging at her chest. She was grateful when she felt the bus moving away from the parking lot.

“Have you ever cruised before?” he asked.

She glanced over at him, not trusting herself to look at him dead on. “No, this will be my first trip. What about you?”

“My first as well,” he said, tilted almost sideways on the bench so he could see her face while he spoke, which she found unnerving. “I thought it would be the perfect way to get away and relax for a weekend.”

She looked down at her hands and replied, “Yes, that’s what my best friend was thinking when she booked this trip for my birthday. She gave me strict instructions to enjoy.”

He nodded in agreement. “My cousin just got back from a cruise and said the same thing.”

“Then I guess we better listen to them,” she teased.

“I agree.”

“Are you a workaholic?” she made the mistake of meeting his gaze and felt heat clear down to her toes.

“Normally. I had an injury and I’ve been spending a lot of time rehabilitating. This trip is just a chance to relax my mind. What about you?”

“Well, according to everyone else, I’m a workaholic.”

“And what do you think?”

“I think there’s nothing wrong with a little hard work if you want to be successful. I’m a small business owner,” she offered by way of an explanation.

“Really? What kind?”

“Gourmet cupcakes. I do a lot of special occasions.”

“Good for you. How long have you been doing that?”

“For about three years now. I love it.”

“I can tell. I’ve never been much of a cook. Although I’m a pro at making Ramen Noodles with hot dogs.”

She scrunched up her nose. “Eww.”

He tossed his head back with laughter. “Don’t knock it before you try it.”

She giggled along with him. “No, thank you. I’ll pass.”

“Are you from Virginia?” he asked, shifting on the seat.

She shook her head. “No, I’m from Delaware.”

He arched one brow. “I have cousins who live in Delaware. I’m from Virginia, but I live in Philadelphia.”

“I have family in Philadelphia. What made you decide to move there?”

“Sports.”

“Really? What kind? Oh no, don’t tell me. Basketball, right?”

“How’d you guess?” he asked, eyes sparkling, and together they laughed.

Something caught his eye and he pointed toward the front of the bus. “Look, there’s our ship.”

She turned, and as soon as she saw the ship only a few feet away at the dock she gasped. “Oh, my God! It’s so big!” she exclaimed.

“It has nine floors, so it’s like a hotel on water.”

Debra couldn’t tear her eyes away. Sure, she had seen many ships as they’d passed through Sheraton Beach, but nothing this up close and personal. “Look how beautiful it is.”

There was a soft chuckle as he said, “You remind me of my younger sister on Christmas morning.”

She tore her eyes away from the ship and met the grin on his face. Her stomach did a nervous roll. That man was too damn sexy for his own good, and the sooner she got away from him the better. “Yeah, I guess I’m a lot more excited than I thought.”

“Nothing wrong with it. The whole reason for this trip is to have fun, and I plan to do just that.”

It was something about the way he said it that had her suddenly shifting uneasily on the seat. “Absolutely.” The bus came to a complete stop. “Well, I guess this is where we get off.” She retrieved her bags, then rose and fell in line with several other eager passengers. “Take care,” she said as an afterthought.

He nodded. “You do the same.” He leaned back leisurely on the seat and reached for his phone like he had all the time in the world.

Debra forced her eyes to the front of the bus and fell into step with the others. As soon as she’d climbed off she searched through all her bags until she found her cell. She groaned. What was she thinking, packing so much for such a short trip? She hadn’t been able to decide what to wear, especially after Bianca had explained that she had changed clothes several times a day. Debra figured it was better to have too much than not enough. Now she wasn’t so sure.

She was wheeling her bag away when she spotted Rance leaving the coach.

Rance watched Debra hurry away.

That one was definitely something to watch, especially her beautifully round backside, he thought. She was truly beautiful, and had him thinking about a weekend of rolling around in his cabin. As he moved to retrieve his bag his brain threw out a handful of scenarios. On the floor. Out on the balcony. Bent over the couch.

“Damn,” he muttered, shaking his head. He really needed to get a grip.

Rance’s cell chirped at his waist and he was glad for the interruption. He removed the phone from his side clip and brought it to his ear.

“Are you checking up on me?” he huffed into the phone. His greeting was met with a loud peal of laughter.

“Nah, dude,” his cousin Jaden Beaumont replied into the receiver. “Just calling to make sure you packed the Speedo I bought you.”

“Ha-ha,” he grumbled, then reached down for his duffle bag and swung it over his left shoulder. “I see you got jokes this afternoon.”

“Always.” He laughed again. “Nah, seriously, I just wanted to tell you to relax for once and have a good time.”

“What’s not to enjoy? Two days of sun and beautiful women,” he said as his eyes traveled in the direction Debra had gone.

“Now that’s what I like to here.”

As they talked, Rance started toward the customs area. “You just remember I’m still waiting on my rematch.”

“Why? So you can lose again? Next time I’ma have you taking ballet classes with my niece, Brie,” he teased.

“Nah, I’ma have you taking pottery classes with my Mom.” He could just see Jaden taking his aunt to her Wednesday evening class.

They went back and forth before Jaden said, “Hey, don’t forget Danica’s birthday party.”

His cousin had arranged a huge party for his wife the weekend after Memorial Day. “I wouldn’t miss it. It’s already on my calendar.”

“Cool. Enjoy your cruise, cuz.”

Rance ended the call and moved toward the long line of guests eager to board the ship. He noticed Debra several feet ahead of him. As he stood there, he studied her profile, admiring her small nose, high cheekbones and beautifully painted lips. She wasn’t as glamorous as some of the models or actresses he had dated, and yet that was what he liked about her most. She was naturally beautiful, without the weave and seven layers of cosmetics.

And her body. Lawd have mercy! It was lush and curvaceous, just the way he liked them. Thick. She had the body of a black woman who cared about the way she looked yet didn’t deny herself the foods she enjoyed, and he loved it.

“Excuse me?”

He tore his eyes away and gazed down to see two women who were standing beside him.

The taller of the two smacked her lips as she spoke. “My bestie here swears up and down you are Rance Beaumont, a.k.a. Dr. Dribble, but I told her she was crazy.”

His lips curled upward as he nodded. “Yeah, I’m Dr. Dribble.”

“I told you!” the girl cried, and the two started squealing like teenagers while Rance just stood by and took it all in. it was nothing he wasn’t used to.

The shorter one stepped forward and held out her hand. “I’m Terri and this is my home girl, Lana.”

“Nice to meet you both,” he said as he accepted the proffered hand. He had to practically pry his fingers from her grasp.

Lana stepped forward and batted her eyelashes as she asked, “Can I have your autograph?”

Nodding, Rance reached inside his shirt pocket for his trusty green pen. “What would you like me to sign?”

While she fumbled through her purse for something for him to write on, Terri moved in front of him and held out her hand.

“Can you sign my palm?” she purred.

“I’d be glad to.” He reached for her outstretched hand and scribbled Dr. Dribble with long penmanship.

“So are you going to be on this cruise?” she asked, eyes sparkling with interest.

He released her wrist, then took a moment and allowed his eyes to travel along her skinny frame and thought, she really needs to start eating something other than salads.

“Yes, I am.”

“We hope to see you,” Terri said flirtatiously.

He gave her his signature grin. “I’m sure you will.”

Chapter 3

An hour later, Debra slid her keycard in the door and pushed it open. Immediately a smile curled her lips. “Not bad,” she mumbled happily. She had heard the rumors about how small the cabins were, but this room was more spacious than she had expected. She slid in and passed a small round table that was right in front of a couch big enough for two to sit comfortably. As soon as she placed her purse on top of the desk, her eyes gazed out the window over the queen-sized bed.

Debra stepped out the door onto her private balcony and gasped. She took a deep breath. The view was breathtaking. They were near a naval shipyard and large ships could be seen for miles. She was anxious for the trip to begin. Within a few hours there would be nothing but miles and miles of ocean as far as her eyes could see. And she couldn’t wait.

Debra moved back into her room and reached for her suitcase. She tossed it onto the bed and fumbled around inside for her swimsuit. There was less than an hour before the ship was scheduled to depart, which gave her plenty of time to change and go up to the top for a piña colada.

She reached for the yellow tankini and practically skipped into the small but efficient bathroom. She showered quickly, removing the sweat from the afternoon commute, then climbed out and dried off. Within minutes she was taking in her appearance in the mirror. She couldn’t resist a smile.

Not bad, Debbie
.

Not bad at all. Bianca had made certain the suit had been designed for her full-figured frame, and she’d been right. Her waist appeared small, her breasts succulent, and her hips and ass pure temptation. She giggled at her foolish assessment. She had enough curves that she could definitely stop traffic, even in the middle of rush hour. Again, she chuckled softly at the thought, even though she yearned to shed a few pounds. From inside the bathroom she heard someone at her door and assumed it was her porter. Bianca had mentioned how diligent they were about keeping the guests’ needs first.

“Just put it on the bed and I’ll get it when I come out!” she yelled, thinking he was bringing in the extra blankets she had requested while checking in. She was slipping into a long white cover-up when she heard the door open and shut again.

Humming, she turned from side to side, pleased with the outfit. Satisfied with how well she filled out the fabric, she reached for the handle and stepped out the door. As soon as she moved into the room Debra stalled as a man swung around and glared down at her.

Rance.

“Lady, what the hell are you doing in my room?”

Bianca Beaumont Brown knocked twice, then stepped inside the small office and met dark eyes that glinted with appreciation.

“Hey, babe.”

“Hello yourself,” she purred as she shut the door, then sauntered across the room and around her husband’s desk and leaned in close, pressing her lips to his.

London drew back with a puzzled look. “What are you doing here? I thought you had a meeting this afternoon.”

Bianca wrapped her arms around his neck and smiled at him adoringly. “I did, but for once my brother was in a hurry, so we wrapped the meeting up early enough that I had time to come and check on my husband.”

He swung around on the chair and dragged his wife down onto his lap. He brought his mouth to hers in another kiss that heated her down to her feet. How she loved this man!

She finally drew back and stared into his eyes, thinking how lucky she was to be married to such a sexy man. London’s
close-cropped, wavy black hair
added to his devilishly handsome looks.
The stubble on his jaw was
smooth and dark, giving him a rakish look that was damn
appealing.

“You think they’ve figured it out by now?” she asked, staring into
those gorgeous brown eyes of his that held glints of
gold.

London glanced down briefly at his watch. “Less than an hour until departure… I’m sure they know by now.”

Bianca shook her head. “Debra is never going to forgive me for this.” And for the first time she began to second-guess her decision.

“Wait until Rance realizes Jaden and I conned him. We’ll never hear the end of that,” he added between chuckles.

The smile on his milk chocolate face said he wasn’t the least bit worried. Bianca wished she could say the same. But after the way Sony had treated Debra, all she had wanted was for her best friend to finally have some happiness in her life.

A few years back, Debra had joked about having Bianca hook her up with one of her single cousins. The wild bunch, also known as the Force MDs: Rush, Roman, Remy, Reese and Rance. Half African-American and half Samoan, all five brothers were tall, educated, and gorgeous doctors … in their own unique ways. Dr. Reese Beaumont had finally come to his senses and was now married and living in Hawaii with her good friend Dominique, while the other four were determined to stay bachelors. However, Bianca was certain that her best friend had what it took to lasso one of them in.

Her husband and her brother Jaden had been more than happy to participate. London had decided a game of poker was just what they needed, and the loser had to take a weekend cruise to nowhere all by himself. Each of the Beaumont brothers had thought the idea was a bad joke, but being competitive, they were more than willing to participate. After several hours, Rance had lost. Although he had said he hated the thought of being confined to a ship for any length of time, a Beaumont never backed down from a challenge.

Bianca had been worried about Rance, who was like a big brother to her. Ever since he had been benched, his mood hadn’t been the best. At first Bianca thought he might be the worst choice for Debra, but after giving it some thought she decided that maybe her best friend was just what his inflated ego needed, especially since she hated basketball.

The smile returned to her lips. “I think you might be right.”

“Did you come here to talk about them or to spend time with your husband?”
The deep voice sent a spark of excitement
straight to her heart.

Bianca laughed, cheeks flushing. “Both.”

London’s brown eyes twinkled. “Taste this cupcake. Debra dropped some off this morning. It’s sensational.” He stuck his finger in the lemon meringue and brought it to her lips.

“Hmm. That is so good,” Bianca moaned. She licked her lips, reached up and smeared icing all over them, then leaned in close and kissed him. While their tongues danced, Bianca’s hands slid across his shoulders and down over his rock-hard chest.

“Did you lock the door?” London asked while he nibbled hungrily at her lips.

“Of course,” she whispered as she reached for the buttons at his shirt and cuffs and unfastened them, one by one.

“I take it you miss your husband.”

“Desperately.” Her mouth moved against his, their lips sliding together, then slipping apart. “Now I’m going to show you just how much I miss you,” she purred, dipping her fingers into the icing again and meeting his gaze with a mischievous look.

“What are you up to, Mrs. Brown?” London asked with a grin.

“You’ll see.” She slipped off his lap and down onto her knees, then kissed her way down his belly. Even without the sweet taste of lemon meringue, London’s milk-chocolate body was delicious. And she wanted to taste everything, especially one part in particular.

Bianca lowered his zipper and reached inside.

“Hold up,” London said with a strained laugh as he grabbed her hand just before she could wrap her fingers around the base of his erection. “Don’t be starting something you can’t finish.”

“Baby, I have every intention of finishing,” she said with a naughty smile. Bianca pushed his hand away, then leaned forward and blew a soft puff of air on the moist tip of his dick.

It jumped.

“Damn!” London muttered, and Bianca stole a glance up at the lusty gleam in his eyes. A wife knew what her husband liked.

She dipped her fingers into the icing again, spread it over the tip of his penis, then leaned forward and tasted him. First with just her tongue, swiping gently at the tip. Then she pulled him between her lips and drew him deeper.

His hands resting at her shoulders made their way to cup the sides of her head. As Bianca sucked harder and took him further into her mouth, a groan pierced his lips.

Before she could feel his penis at the back of her throat, London dragged her to her feet. The motion was so fast she gasped.

“London, I wasn’t done tasting you.”

“I’ll make it up to you. Now turn around,” he growled, grabbing her by the waist and flipping her around as he pressed her body between his erection and the desk.

“You’re the sexiest little mama I know,” he whispered as he dragged her blouse from the waist of her skirt and slipped his hand inside, unfastening the clasps to her bra. London reached around with both hands, cupping her breasts while he rained wet kisses along the side of her face and neck.

Oh God, he was good! Long fingers tweaked and swirled her nipples until they ached with desire. Her butt stroked his penis again and again as her body yearned for release.

“You’re not playing fair,” she breathed as his hands continued to play with her breasts. Slowly, she dragged her hand down and under her skirt and lowered her panties, anxious for what was about to come

“That’s it. Take those off,” he encouraged, his hands sliding down to assist. Bianca frantically pulled the satin fabric all the way down her legs, then kicked the panties away with her feet. Before they even landed in the corner of the room, London’s hand had traveled under her skirt and his fingers went to work at her throbbing clit.

“Oh,” Bianca moaned as pleasure built and tightened at her gut. She rocked her hips, persuading his fingers to travel lower and then deeper. London bent her low over the table. Her cheek rested on the desk and her nipples felt cold and erect against the glass surface. But she lay there, holding her breath, while her husband positioned himself. He raised her hips until she was practically on her toes and prepared to enter her. Even after five years of having this gorgeous man making love to her, she gasped with pleasure as he plunged deep inside her.

“Yes,” she cried, and London withdrew, then pushed forward again. This time he went even deeper, snatching her breath away.

“Is this what you came for?” he asked in a strained voice between pumps.

Her fingers dug into the table, the glass cold beneath her, breasts hard and aroused. “Yes, baby. It’s… exactly… what… I came for,” she managed between breaths. The tension built, and within seconds she was rocking her hips back and forth, meeting his thrusts.

With one hand still guiding her hips, London slipped between her thighs with the other, flicking his thumb over her aching clit.

“Yes!” Bianca cried with pleasure.

London stroked deeper and flicked at the tiny bud some more.

Two pumps, then three. Three strokes to her clit, then four before he pushed, applying intense pressure. Bianca’s body exploded. Fireworks danced behind her closed eyelids as she cried out his name over and over again. “London, Oooh, London!” The orgasm shook her body. She squeezed his erection, drawing more pleasure for her while encouraging him to come inside her. London gripped her hips, holding her still. With a strangled moan he plunged some more. Then he gave a long, loud groan. His thighs, hard and strong, quivered against the back of hers.

Totally spent, Bianca lay across the table as she tried to catch her breath. Her husband rested beside her.

“You need to come visit me more often,” London murmured, his lips brushing her cheek, making her shudder as yet another tiny climax rocked her body.

“I think that can be arranged,” she giggled. She lifted her head for another long, hard kiss.

It wasn’t until she was getting dressed that she thought about Debra and Rance and wondered if they’d realized what she had done.

Rance was used to stalkers. There had been many times after a game when he would return to his room to find some woman lying across his bed. But this one he didn’t actually take for a stalker. She appeared smart and beautiful, with too much going for her professionally to stalk a man. But either way, he wanted her out of his room.
