Chapter 2

“Meeka! Where have you been? We called your cell phone and you didn’t answer.”

Meeka looked up at her boss surprised.

“Sorry Johnny. Just a little queasy this morning.”

“Oh it's not a problem. I just thought something had happened and was worried about you.”

In a strange turn of events, ever since Meeka had gotten in the car accident, her boss was a whole lot nicer to her. She was not sure why, but the man that she couldn’t stand, was becoming someone that she enjoyed to be around. He was just as handsome as he was before, but his new attitude made it easier for her to see it.

“Well thanks  for your concern Johnny, but really, I’m fine.”

Johnny looked at her as though he doubted her words, but he said nothing else. He searched her brown eyes for a clue as to what kept her, but he turned away after a moment.

“Sections are written down. Let me know if you want to change it, okay?”

She looked at the seating chart and was happy to see that she was in the best section. Meeka had been making considerably more than she had before, just from the change in her boss’ attitude. She was still not sure why he was acting the way he was, but she was not going to ask for the old ball-buster her was before. He started ignoring the young blondes he had hired and when it was slow, it was Meeka that he sought out. Meeka did not mind the changes and found herself happier than she had ever been at a job. Everything seemed to be falling into place and before she could look at the clock again, it was time for her to start doing her side work.

Grabbing the broom out of the closet, she started to sweep her section so she could go early and meet with Rick. Malik was going to her parent’s for a sleep-over and they had the whole night to themselves.

“I got it Meeka. You shouldn’t be doing that much, you’ve already been on your feet all day.”

Meeka looked up surprised. She really didn’t mind it and she felt a bit uncomfortable that he’d suggested it.

“It's okay Johnny. I'm not too much of a delicate flower.  I can still do my job.”

“I know. I just hate to see you all big and pregnant, sweeping the floors.”

Meeka would have blushed if her dark complexion would have allowed it. Cinderella came to mind and she had to admit, that she’d felt that way sometimes. It was strange for Johnny to make the comment, as much so, as it was for her to clean before the maid started.

“I'm not that big, am I?”

As soon as the question was out of her mouth, his dark eyes roamed over her form.

“No, not at all. Pregnancy looks damn good on you Meeka.”

She looked down, slightly embarrassed. She had been getting a lot of good comments about her shape and she hoped that her second pregnancy would be like the first.

“Well if you insist. I do have an appointment for cake testing that I would like to get changed for before I go.”

“So you two are taking the plunge huh?”

“Yes Johnny. I know you've seen my ring. Do you not approve?”

“It just all seems so fast, doesn’t it? How can you really know someone or how you feel about someone after such a short amount of time?”

Johnny stopped talking, but the way his words trailed off, it was obvious that he wanted to say more. Meeka found the conversation and the way he was looking at her a bit disconcerting. He was closer than he usually was, his hands slightly over her own hand on the broom. He squeezed his hand over her fingers and for an instant, she felt him leaning closer to her. Like he was going to kiss her, but then changed his mind.

“So when is the wedding?”

He moved back and she let him take the broom.

“Um a month or so, no real date set. I am still trying to figure it all out.”

“Well if you ever need anything Meeka, just let me know.”

The word anything was emphasized with a look that turned her insides to jelly. She moved away, as she was not supposed to feel that way to anyone else. She wondered what he had meant about really knowing how she felt about someone. Meeka thought that maybe he meant himself and his eyes told her that she was probably right in that assumption.

When Meeka had first started at the restaurant, she had thought along those very lines when she had first met Johnny. But then she thought he was just a complete prick and he was not all that nice to her. Now he was different and while she liked the change, she had a feeling that there were ulterior motives attached.

His dark eyes watched her face and when they met her own brown ones, she knew that he was aware of her instant attraction. She wasn’t sure how it was known, but at that moment, she felt like he could see inside of her soul.

“I uh, need to go. Thanks for helping me Johnny. I don’t know what I would have done without you the last couple of months.”

She did mean it, but what he wanted in return, she was unwilling to give. Meeka did not want to do anything to jeopardize what she had with Rick. That was how it went, she thought. When it rains, it pours. Meeka was happy with her choice though. She thought she had chosen well. Rick was perfect for her and for her son. But the words of Johnny rang in her ears as she left her job that day.

“How well could she know him after such a short amount of time?”

Chapter 3

Meeka pushed the thoughts out of her mind as she drove her new car back to Rick’s house. She still couldn’t call it hers in her mind, not even to herself. The neighborhood she drove through was so foreign from her own that sometimes she felt like she didn’t belong there. Rick reassured her that she did when she had spoken about the ill feelings, but it did not erase them as she found herself meeting more of her neighbors.

“Hi Meeka.”

Mrs. Eckles from across the street had been the first to introduce herself after Meeka and Malik had moved in. The older lady was a bit nosy, but Meeka found her pleasant enough. She waved back to the woman in the yard, pruning her rose bushes as she always did at that time of the day. Meeka was still struck by the routines that many possessed there, doing the same thing every day, at the exact same time. It seemed kind of crazy to Meeka.

She pulled the silver Lexus into the driveway and turned the car off. She did not pull into the garage because she was only going to be there for a few minutes. The maid opened the door after Meeka forgot her keys in the car. She thanked the older woman and raced up the stairs to their bedroom. She was already going to be late, like she was to everything it seemed lately. The clock was five minutes faster upstairs, making her movement more hurried.

Meeka pulled a white and pink spring dress on. She smoothed it out over her growing belly. Her stomach was still small and she was thankful that she did not have to wear maternity clothing like she had before. She didn’t care how it was made or cut, maternity clothes were not very flattering and she still cared about how she looked for Rick. Meeka left her long small braids in one larger braid down her back.

She drove down to the little cake shop that Rick had asked her to go to. He did not care about anything except the cake and all he wanted was chocolate. She still remembered what he had done after that announcement and how he had satiated his need for the dark sweet treat between her thighs. Meeka pushed the door open and said a greeting to the baker in an apron behind the counter.

“Hi, I'm here to try some cakes for a wedding?”

“Yes Ma’am. Do you have an appointment?”

“Yea, the Roger’s wedding.”

“Oh right this way. I have already laid out the choices. Dr. Rogers has always been a dear around here. He has a big sweet tooth.”

The way the woman said it, Meeka was put off a little. There were several other people in the small shop, so she ignored the comment and followed her to a small table in the back. After she thanked the employee, she sat down to try out some of the different cakes laid out. All of the cakes had some form of chocolate in them or on them. Meeka could not think of a better way to spend the afternoon, besides banging her husband.

Everything tasted wonderful and she was trying a second round to narrow the choices down. Meeka was tipping the glass of milk up to her mouth when a tall, blonde woman sat down in the seat across from her. Meeka put the glass down and wiped her mouth where she felt a bit drip from her surprise.

“Hi. I'm sorry to bother you, but I overheard you at the counter. Did you mean Rick Rogers?”

“Yeah, we’re getting married in less than a month.”

“Wow. I can’t believe he's finally going to do it. You know many women have tried to get him down the aisle.”

Meeka did not know what to make of the woman, but she was quite striking and by the way she had said the last sentence, Meeka had a feeling that she had been one of those women.

“Sorry I am so rude. My name is Marla. Me and Rick dated years ago all through college. I moved out to the west coast for a job though and I haven’t seen him in a long time. How is he?”

Meeka wanted to smack the woman who was asking about her husband. It wasn’t the words of course, it was the way Marla said it. Her eyes held a hint of competition. Meeka pushed away from the table some and laid her hand on her stomach.

“We are great. Rick is excited for his first child. You know how men are, especially with their first son.”

Marla’s smile fell and Meeka’s rose. She knew that she shouldn’t have let Marla bait her, but there was a satisfaction in Marla’s response. Rick had never talked about any other woman before and Meeka felt strange finding out about one in that way. She knew that he had obviously had other love interests, but she just didn’t like to see them in her face. Not to mention Marla was quite catty and her shackles were up.

“Oh, well, congratulations. I didn’t think he wanted children.”

“Well you know how men are. It takes them some time to figure out what they really want.”

Meeka tried to stop the words, but they came spitting out with as much spite as she could muster. The woman’s eyes narrowed and she knew then that she had made an enemy for life.

“So did you guys meet at work?”

This was a veiled attempt to find out more about Meeka and all she wanted to do at that point was get away from Marla.

“No, just around. Well it was nice meeting you Marla. Have a good day now. I think I am going to go with the double chocolate one.”

Meeka stood up and held her stomach out of habit. Walking over to the shop worker, she told her which one she preferred and thanked her. Meeka did not look back at Marla and she tried to forget about her as she walked away, but it was done. The damage was done and the seed was planted.

Chapter 4

Meeka scrambled to get the rest of her errands done before her son got home from school. She made it back in time to get him ready for his sleepover with his grandparents. Meekawas looking forward to seeing Rick and the time dragged on before he got home. He was late by twenty minutes and Meeka was in the bathtub waiting. The water was becoming cool when he walked in the bathroom and stopped. The brown tips of her nipples bobbed in the water surrounded by bubbles. Her hand was under the surface of the water, but he could not make out what she was doing.

“You’re finally home my love. I've missed you.”

She sat up to give him a kiss and her breasts swayed with a bubbly coverage.

“You look dirty. You should get in the bath tub and let me scrub you down.”

Rick raised his eyebrow and then she settled back into the water. She released some of the water, anticipating him going in with her. He bent over the tub to the controls and turned on the water jets. Meeka moaned and moved slightly to the left to line herself up with the hot high-pressure massaging water. She closed her eyes and was lost in the rush of stimulation on her core.

“Did I ever tell you how much I love this tub?”

“Every time you’re in it.”

Rick chuckled as he stepped out of his pants, his cock already hard and ready for his fiancée. He liked to say it in his head that way and Rick could not wait till he could call her his wife. She was insatiable and even when most women were bitchy because of the pregnancy Meeka just seemed to be hornier. She wanted it all day every day and sometimes Rick felt drained. Morning and night, Meeka was wet and ready for him, whenever he wanted it.

He hurried with the rest of his clothes and slid into the tub with her as Meeka looked close to her own edge. Opening her legs wide in the large garden tub, he moved her closer to the jets, making sure one jet was squarely on her core. She whimpered and tried to move from the intensity, but he held her still. Rick liked to push her beyond her limits and Meeka was more than happy to take it all.

“Ooohh.”

Rick added a finger into her hot hole from behind, the water letting him ease right in without much pressure. She gasped and her body tried to rear up against his firm hand. He wouldn’t let her move. He wanted her to squirt on his wiggling digits and it wasn’t long before he felt a different rush of fluid. Rick groaned and added another finger, pressing inside of her as far as he could.

His blue eyes held her brown ones as his mouth lowered to suck on her tightened nipple. She gasped and moaned louder. Her hand fell between his thighs and grabbed his shaft for what she really wanted. He could bring her climax after climax, but it was never as good as when he slid his thick meat inside of her. That is what Meeka really wanted and what she really needed.

Touching him made him forget his dominance and she was able to get to the other side of the tub, where the jets hit her lower back instead of her sensitive core.

“Where are you going my love?”

“I am running away from you. Marathon baby, remember? You are going to have me laid out in ten minutes that way.”

“Mmmm, I like the sound of that!”

Meeka squealed as he pushed towards her and captured her laughing lips with his own. His tongue pushed into her mouth and Meeka’s body started to wind around him like a vine. Her long, legs pulled him closer and her firm breasts pressed against his hard chest. His cock rubbed against her core, but he tilted himself down to slide across her wetness, instead of plowing inside.

Meeka whined and tried to maneuver her hips to take him. She needed him and she had thought about his first penetration all day. The thoughts had driven her mad, staying primed for so long. Rick’s hands went to her hips, stopping her movement. Meeka let out a frustrated whimper, trying to entice him, knowing he loved her sounds.

“Please baby.”

“You are the one that said marathon.”

Meeka made another noise of protest. She kissed him lightly, slowly. Meeka’s hips rubbed his length alongside her wet lips, making him groan. Words were not as effective as action, so she rubbed harder on his slickened shaft, her tongue sliding alongside his own. Rick tried to hold off and taunt her, but he was quickly moving his own hips to align with her weeping core.

Rick’s large palm lifted her body in the water and let her slowly fall down on his throbbing meat. Meeka’s head fell back and he took one of her brown tips into his mouth, suckling as his cock buried deeper inside of her. His name was on her lips, over and over again like it was a mantra. He moved her up and down on his long length, plunging completely.

“You are perfect Meeka, just perfect.”

Meeka could not hear his words over the loud beating in her own heart. Every push in was met with a tightening of her body and a rush of fluid. Rick grabbed her close and started to hammer into her quick, prolonging and intensifying her orgasm. He was not able to last long with her hysterics and Rick bellowed her name.

Meeka clung to him for several minutes, until her heart rate was back to normal and she could breathe again. His cock had softened, but she could feel it stirring as she clenched her insides. He felt so good inside of her, like he was always supposed to be there. Satiated, she finally pulled off of him with a cool sensation as the colder water hit her entrance. He groaned and tried to stop her, but he too, was slightly weakened from the explosive climax.

She climbed out before he could regroup and dried off with a thick towel. Looking back once, Meeka walked towards the bedroom. It was a marathon to the woman and she was in it for the long haul. Rick was scrubbed and out of the tub quickly. He stopped in the doorway, the Meeka's body fully exposed on the bed. On her side, Meeka crooked her finger towards him, urging him forward. It would be another hour before either came up for air.
