Jack slipped his finger inside her pussy as his mouth took over where his finger had been. Instead of the tight circles from his finger, it was now his tongue. She started to writhe with anticipation as he continued to lick and finger-fuck her. He’d worked her to a fever pitch and when she thought she’d finally explode, he stopped and lazily made his way up her body, returning to his sweet torture of her breasts.

“Jack…please!” Anna moaned as she dug her nails into his shoulders.

Jack laughed a low sensual laugh and then a very erotic growl as he made his way to her mouth.

“Anna, baby…What do you want?” Jack whispered teasingly against her lips.

“Jack…” Anna panted.

Anna grabbed Jack’s hips and pulled him to her. He was using his muscular weight to his advantage and was able to stay firm.

“Tell me, baby,” Jack said.

“Fuck me!” Anna cried and breathlessly whispered, “Please just fuck me!”

Jack positioned himself at the entrance to Anna’s pussy and started slowly rocking his hips against her. She could feel herself clench every time he rocked forward, teasing her.

“Why are you always in such a hurry, Mrs. O’Malley?” Jack whispered against her throat.

Anna was shivering uncontrollably. She felt like a junkie in need of a fix and Jack was the drug she so desperately wanted. She wrapped her legs around his waist and pulled at him, wanting to feel him plunge into her pussy, giving her the relief she urgently needed.

“I’m teaching you how to make this last,” Jack said as he continued his erotic rocking against Anna.

“Jack…please…” Anna whimpered.

“Should I start over?” Jack sensually teased as he licked her nipple.

NO
! Please…no…” Anna gasped.

“Knight takes queen.” Jack rocked forward, thrusting his cock fully into Anna in one smooth motion.

Anna screamed as she instantly clamped down on Jack’s cock and erupted. She’d never been so electrified. Every fiber of her body seemed to shatter as she clutched him to her. He was pushing firmly and her climax seemed to last forever as he stroked her at his firm masculine, steady pace. She finally found her own rhythm and started matching him thrust for thrust. Jack’s fucking became more urgent. Anna gripped his forearms and dug her nails in. It was just the push he needed as he shoved himself deep inside her and found his own release. He threw his head back and let out an animalistic growl. He pushed a few more times and then lowered himself onto her and kissed her slowly.

“Jack, that felt so good,” Anna whispered.

“Yes, it did, baby,” he said against her skin, kissing her again.

Jack was rounding out his morning eight-mile run. He was making a mental list of everything that needed to be accomplished today as he glanced down at his watch. It was 5:55 a.m. He was behind his usual pace because he hadn’t been keeping up with his workout routine while Anna was in the hospital, and his little
move
last night wasn’t helping him, either. He almost rolled over and went back to sleep when he woke at 4:20 a.m.

Anna was dozing in Jack’s easy chair when he came into the house. He smiled at the picture because she looked so little in that big chair. He left her dozing and went upstairs to shower and dress. When he returned twenty minutes later, she was still in the same position. He knelt and kissed her hand that was resting on the arm of the chair. She stirred and looked at him, dragging open her eyes.

“Good morning,” Jack said.

“You’re back…Where did you go?”

“I went for my run.”

“You smell fresh. Did you just take a shower?”

“Yes, and we need to get going. We have a lot to do today,” Jack said, lifting her hand and placing a kiss on it.

Jack channel surfed as he waited for Anna to come downstairs so they could get on with the day. There was a lot of paperwork to do and a few places they needed to visit to make her an official military dependent. He glanced at the clock and started getting a little irritated because it was almost seven forty-five. He was about to go upstairs when he heard Anna’s footsteps. Jack turned and all thought as well as speech left him because Anna was stunning. The sleeveless top plunged in a low, scooped neckline as her long brown slacks flared at her feet, nearly hiding the high-heeled sandaled wedges she wore. Her jewelry matched and accented her outfit and her skin. While Anna looked absolutely fabulous, it was her scent that almost made Jack drop to his knees. He smelled her the moment she walked into the room. She was made up perfectly and was staring at him, waiting.

“Damn, baby!” Jack managed to say.

Anna smiled at his reaction.

“This is part of what your four hundred and eight dollars bought yesterday. Do you still want it back?” Anna asked with an impish grin.

“Huh?”

“Your money. We need to stop at the bank so I can give it back to you.”

“You need more money? No problem, baby.”

“Are you listening to me?”

“Of course I am. Are you ready?”

Chapter 38

Randolph Air Force Base, Texas

US Naval Special Warfare Group Five

Office of the Commander

September 4, 2008/1417 Zulu

Steve was occupied preparing all the messages and information the captain needed to see when he arrived. Rock had called and said that he would be coming in for a short time but would be leaving again and be on leave for the next few days. That had been almost two hours ago. It was a good thing Steve had been given some time to gather and sift through the important stuff. He would rather deal with the captain than the XO because Commander Wilson was a real pain in the ass. Steve turned in time to see Rock open the door for a woman.

“Good morning, Steve,” the woman said.

It took him a moment to recognize the woman standing in front of his desk. Rock picked up the stack of messages and correspondence that had accumulated for him and started sifting through.

“Anna! When did you get out of the hospital?” Steve asked as he stood and came around the desk to give Anna a hug.

“Yesterday, thank you for asking.”

“I’m so glad you’re okay!”

“Friday, tell Mac I need to talk him,” Rock said.

“It’s good to see you again,” Anna said.

“And bring anything that’s not classified or critical, and I’ll take it home and have it back tomorrow,” Rock instructed, and turning to Anna he said, “Come on, baby.”

Steve shook his head slightly, not knowing if he’d heard Rock’s last statement correctly. Had he just called Anna,
baby
?

Anna stared at the framed certificates in Jack’s office. It was his commission into the United States Navy as an officer. Next to his commission was his SEAL Team training completion certificate. She’d seen them hanging in here when she’d been in his office before. They were the only two items that hung on the wall in his office. His office was just as meager as his house. These two items on the wall spoke volumes about the man sitting behind the desk. She turned around and watched him as he worked.

“What’s the matter?” Jack asked without looking up.

“Nothing,” Anna said, looking at the wall.

“You look worried about something.”

“I am.”

“What are you worried about, Anna?”

“Your men,” Anna said quietly.

Jack stopped what he was doing and looked up. “
My men
? Why would you be worried about my men?”

“Because, Jack, you’re their leader, and I’ve seen what a tight-knit organization this is. These guys really look up to you and respect you. I don’t want them to ever think your leadership is diminished somehow,” Anna said, staring at the frames in front of her.

Jack stood and walked to Anna. He placed his hands on her shoulders and gently rubbed and slowly turned Anna around to face him.

“Why would they think that?” Jack asked.

“Because of me.”

“I think we both know that you have
all
of these guys wrapped around your little finger,
my queen
,” Jack teased.

“I’m serious, Jack,” Anna said, trying to hide a smile.

“So am I.” Jack kissed Anna.

“I can come back later, if you two are busy,” Mac said from the doorway.

Anna and Jack exchanged smiles. He walked back to his desk and took a seat.

“Shut the door, Mac,” Jack said.

“You want me in or out when I do that?” Mac questioned.

“Get your ass in here and sit down,” Jack snapped.

“It’s a sad day, Admiral. I may need to take bereavement leave today,” Markie said as she handed Dixie a stack of folders.

“What the hell are you talking about, Markie? Oh, did you get that message to the JCS?” Dixie asked.

“Yes, sir, it’s gone and so is he…” Markie replied.

Dixie walked into his office and tossed the folders Markie had given him on his desk. He shook off her comments as he walked into his private head and washed his hands. He took a seat behind his desk and started perusing the correspondence on his desk as well as glancing at the e-mails that had come in while he was at lunch. He flipped through the stack and saw one from Special Warfare Group Five.

Dixie gave this message priority since it was from one of his own groups. He opened the folder and scanned the contents of the message. He smiled with satisfaction. Jack, as usual, exceeded his expectations because he’d managed to get Anna O’Malley to resign from civil service altogether. Pleased, he put the folder aside, making a metal note to get Markie to send a message to SOCOM saying that he and his captain had done what was ordered. As he started reading through the rest of the stack, it occurred to him that something about Jack’s message wasn’t right. He picked up the folder again and reread the message.

That motherfucker
!
Markie
! Get JJ’s ass in here ASAP”! Dixie roared.

“Yes, Admiral,” Markie said from the outer office.

Dixie was fuming when Master Chief Jones walked into the office. He was pacing back and forth trying to get a grip on his rage. He called down to San Antonio and was told that the captain had taken leave and would not be back until after the three-day Labor Day weekend. He was too furious to call Rock directly.
That sorry bastard has done it again!
Rock had managed to find the loophole that would allow him to do what he’d in mind from the beginning, protect Anna Santiago until they’d found the people who were responsible for almost killing her. Master Chief Jones sat down and casually crossed his legs.

They’d discussed at length what Rock had done as Dixie tried to contain his fury. His command master chief wasn’t helping any. JJ and Rock had always been tight and JJ seemed to have an excuse and justify everything Rock had done. Dixie paused a moment. He walked to his desk and sat down, glaring at his command master chief. Rock was Master Chief Jones’s favorite and had been since entering the SEALs. Dixie looked away because Rock was also
his
favorite fair-haired boy as well. JJ was right. Rock had either done something heroic or something really stupid. Only time would tell.

“Markie! Get my jet ready. I need to go down to San Antonio!” Dixie called.

“I’m telling you, Dixie, don’t piss him off. There’s obviously some feelings there otherwise Rock wouldn’t have done this,” JJ warned.

Anna and Jack were sitting down to dinner when the doorbell rang. It had been a very hectic two days. She was, after all, still recovering from almost dying and all of the running around and moving was starting to wear on her. He’d promised that they’d take it easy on Monday before he needed to get back to work. She sighed as she looked at her husband.

“I don’t know who it is,” Jack said as he stood.

“It’s got to be one of yours. Mine can’t get on the base,” Anna said.

Jack walked to the door and looked out the peephole. Anna heard him question himself and her curiosity got the best of her so she walked to the short foyer of the house.

“What the hell?” Jack asked as he opened the door.

“Hello,
Captain
, I came to offer my congratulations,” Dixie said.

“We need to talk, Rock,” JJ said stepping in between the admiral and Jack.

“Okay, let’s go to my office and talk,” Jack said as he started to walk out the door.

“Not yet, I want to say hi to the
missus
,”
Dixie said rather harshly to Jack
.

She frowned at the comment and got a little defensive. It seemed to her that the admiral was angry at Jack over something involving her. Anna walked forward and made the decision to stand by her husband.
