Someone broke down the front door.

Belatedly, Hunter noticed that Walker must have barred all of the main doors to prevent anyone from entering or leaving the burning house. As men rushed into the hall to rescue the sleeping inhabitants, Hunter took Grace’s hand. Together they strolled out through the destroyed front door, joyful in the knowledge that they had saved the one thing that was priceless to each of them.
