I walked in and ran my hand along the beautiful smooth wood. They were amazing, nothing like I could have imagined they would be. I’d never seen anything like them before in my life. I smiled, knowing that he had designed and made these cribs by hand just for our little buggers.

Oh my god. I was such a bitch to him, and he had been working so hard all week to finish these. He didn’t even get to see my face when I saw them. I started to cry harder.

When I felt his arms wrap around my body, I instantly relaxed.

“Breathe, princess,” he whispered in my ear.

I turned around and fell into his arms. “I’m so sorry! Oh, Josh. I’m so sorry. I love them. They’re so beautiful!”

He held me tightly as he laughed. “I’m glad you love them. Dad helped me build them. He’s been in town this week, helping me finish them up.”

I pulled back and looked at him. “What? Your dad was in town this week? Why didn’t he stop by?”

Josh smiled as he wiped the tears from my cheeks. “Dad cut the trees down for me. They all came from my parents’ property. He helped me strip and stain them, and we worked on putting them together. He also brought them to the house earlier this week. I had them in the garage, and for the last two days, I was just praying you didn’t have a reason to go out there.”

I reached up and kissed him as I let a moan escape my mouth. I slowly pulled away from his lips, leaving only enough space just so I could talk. “Josh…I want you so much.”

He grabbed me by the back of the neck and pulled me to him. He kissed me with so much passion that I thought I would explode.

“I’m going to make love to you princess.” As he led me upstairs, my heart was pounding. Every time with him was like the first time. He always made me feel so special.

As he slowly undressed me, he knelt down and started talking to the babies. They began going crazy, moving all around, and we both laughed.

“Alright, y’all. I’m going to make love to your mommy, so settle down now.” Josh stood back up. “Lie down sideways on the bed, Heather.”

Good Lord.
Something in his voice just sent me over the top. I wanted to come so badly that I could hardly stand it. I slowly made my way onto the bed, lying down sideways, while he got behind me. The moment he lifted my leg and started to touch me, I knew it wouldn’t be long.

“Josh…yes…please don’t stop.” My voice sounded like I was begging.

He started to kiss my back, and for some reason, that was my undoing. I practically screamed out his name. Before I even came down, he moved inside me, and another orgasm began building. It felt like pure heaven, and I didn’t want it to stop.

“Deeper, Josh…”

“The babies, Heather.”

“You heard the doctor, Josh. We can’t hurt them by having sex. Please…”

Josh pushed in, just a little deeper, and for the third time, I was calling out in pleasure. “Oh god! Josh it feels so good.” This time, he was calling out my name along with me.

As we lay there, trying to catch our breath, I felt one of the babies moving.

“Someone really likes it when we have sex,” I said with a giggle.

“Jesus H. Christ, I hope it’s not the girl!”

We both started laughing as I rolled over to face him.

“I’m sorry I got jealous of Mindy. I don’t like her, and she’s always flirting and getting you to do things for her. I hate it.”

Josh’s smile faded. “I’ll run back home a different way, princess. I won’t even pass her house ever again. But please tell me next time, okay? Don’t let it bother you until you blow. I want us to be one hundred percent honest with each other.”

I nodded. “Okay…well…I feel huge and unattractive. My back and my feet hurt. I look like a whale, and I still have a month to go. Ari looks cute as a button, and…and…”

When I started crying, Josh smiled and tilted up my chin until I looked at him.

“I’m so sorry your back and feet hurt, baby. I’m going to run you a warm bath and then give you a good rubdown. You are the most attractive, beautiful, take-my-breath-away woman I’ve ever laid eyes on. I think you’re more beautiful now than you’ve ever been. Your cheeks have the most beautiful glow to them. One look at you, and all I want is to be inside you and stay there forever. I’m the luckiest son of a bitch on the face of this earth because I get to go to sleep next to you every night and wake up with you every morning.”

I smiled and reached over to kiss him. “Thank you,” I said with a giggle.

“For what? Telling you the truth? Heather, I wish I could stand on the highest mountaintop and just scream out how much I love you. I’ll always love you.”

We talked for a little bit more before we both finally drifted off to sleep. I dreamed of nothing but Josh loving me all night.

I woke up to the smell of bacon.
Oh man, I’ve been craving bacon for two days! Josh must have run to the store to pick some up. I’m so going to try the whole blow-job thing again once these babies are born!

When I stretched, I could feel every muscle aching.
Oh man, can I make it another month?
I slowly rolled onto my side and stood up when something red caught my eye. When I looked down at the bed, I saw blood on the sheets.

No…oh god, no.
“Josh!” I yelled out.

I heard him coming up the steps.

“Hey, I was trying to let you sleep in. I made you breakfast.” He walked up to me, smiling.

I looked down at the bed. I glanced back at him, and the moment he saw the blood, his whole face turned white.

“It’s okay, princess. Let’s get you dressed, okay? I’ll call Dr. Johnson’s office and get you in right away,” he said as he turned and walked to get the phone.

What in the hell? How is he so calm?
“Josh…do you not see the blood? It’s not okay. It’s blood.”

Josh walked back over to me with a pair of shorts, a shirt, and my flip-flops. He smiled at me. “I know it’s blood, honey. Can you get dressed while I call the doctor? Do you have a pad you can put on?”

I just sat there, staring at him. A pad? “Um…a pad?”

“Yeah…so when we get there, they can see how much bleeding you’re experiencing. Baby…I need you to get dressed.”

Who is this person standing in front of me? And how in the hell did he think of that?

Josh pulled out his phone while I got dressed. I walked to the bathroom and put on a pad.

Please, God, please don’t take my babies from me. Please.

Daddy…help them…Daddy, please.

When Dr. Johnson finished doing his exam, he looked up at Josh and me. My heart was beating so hard and so fast, and I knew I was squeezing Josh’s hand.

“You said you had sex last night, right?”

Josh and I both nodded our heads.

Josh said, “Yes.”

Oh shit. I told him it was okay to be rough. Shit! Shit! Shit!

“Oh Jesus H. Christ, I was too hard…oh hell.” Josh stood up and started pacing.

Dr. Johnson laughed. “Josh, please sit down. It’s perfectly fine to have sex right up until the babies are born. Everything is fine. There are no problems at all. The babies are doing good, Heather is doing good, all is well.”

“Why was there blood?” I asked, taking Josh’s hand as he sat back down.

“Well, when you’re pregnant, blood flow increases to your cervix, so spotting after sex is normal. Now, from what you’ve described, there wasn’t a lot of blood on the sheet, and hardly any was on the pad. I really think it was just from intercourse, so you have nothing to worry about.”

I looked over at Josh and smiled.

He let out a breath of air. “Thank God. If I did anything to put them at risk, I’d never forgive myself.”

After leaving the doctor’s office, we went to lunch and then headed home. I took a nice warm bath, and then Josh massaged all over my body. I was in pure heaven. I assured Josh that it was okay to have sex, and we played in the shower some before making love.

“Heather, are you sure you feel like heading out to Mason?”

I smiled as I looked at my sweet, overprotective husband. “Yes! It’s Jeff’s and Gunner’s birthday barbecue. It’ll be fun. I need to get out and move around a bit. I promise, if I get tired, I’ll let you know.”

As we went out to Josh’s truck, Mindy was walking by with her little white dog. Josh didn’t even so much as look in her direction. He grabbed my hand, brought it up to his lips, and smiled at me. He walked me to the passenger side, opened the door, and winked at me.

As I felt that familiar buildup, I slowly licked my lips and then bit down on the lower one.

He smiled and shook his head. “Should I call and tell them we’re gonna be late?”

“Yep!”

I rolled over and felt something wet and cold. I reached down and touched the sheets.
Wet. Heather’s been eating watermelon again.

Two nights before, Heather had woken me up, saying she had a dream about needing to go pee. In her dream, she finally made it to a bathroom and started peeing. The only problem was she’d started peeing in her sleep, too. She had eaten almost a whole watermelon earlier in the day.

I smiled as I got out of bed.
Damn, that girl sure does love watermelon while she’s pregnant.
I was beginning to worry the babies would come out green and pink. I walked into the bathroom, and I was just about to lift up the toilet seat.

“Josh?” Heather called out for me.

“I know, babe. You peed the bed again.” I laughed. “Damn, I didn’t think I’d ever have to say that.”

“Uh, Josh…I didn’t pee.”

I stopped and looked down at my dick. “Well, I sure as hell didn’t piss the bed, Heather.”

“No, Josh…my water broke.”

Wait. What?
I stepped out of the bathroom and stared at her.

She was standing up, holding on to her stomach, with her cell phone in her hand. “We need to call Dr. Johnson, Josh. I just had a contraction.”

“Wait. What?” I just stood there and stared at her.
She’s not due for another two weeks.

“Baby. Will you hand me my clothes, so I can get dressed?”

What is she saying? I need to sit down.

She walked by me, grabbed her clothes, and started to get dressed. Then, I saw her grab her stomach.
