He
grins, obviously satisfied with my reaction, and crawls leisurely up my body. “I
want to watch you make love to Abby,” he murmurs, biting my earlobe. “Will you
take care of our girl?”

I
knew he was a voyeur. “Of course I will. She’s so sweet.”

“Show
her you love her…then make her scream,” he says with a wicked grin. Abby’s eyes
widen when we both turn to gaze at her. Airen grabs her ankle and tugs her down
between us, making her giggle. “I believe Joseph has something for you, darlin’,”
he says, nipping at her breast.

Her
skin flushes and she averts her eyes when my gaze sweeps up and down her naked
figure, drinking her in. “Abigail,” I murmur. “Such a beautiful body.” She’s
small and curvy and so soft. My lips and tongue worship her neck and breasts
before I kiss her, drawing her tongue into my mouth to savor her sweet taste.
Her soft hands slide down my back and over the curve of my ass, her tongue hot
on my ear as she licks and nibbles. She cups my sack and tugs gently, forcing a
moan from my lips, before her hand grips me hard. A firm suck on her nipple has
her arching into me, tugging my hair.

“Be
warned.” Airen chuckles. “She likes to pull hair.”

“Rip
it out, baby,” I breathe, staring down at her as she wraps her legs around my
waist. I can’t wait any longer. I’m desperate to be inside her. She gasps, a
long drawn out moan flowing from her lips when I enter her, so slowly. She’s
perfect. Tight as a fist. “Oh, Abby, you feel so good.” I circle my hips and
delve deeper, needing to feel every warm inch of her.

I
feel Airen’s hand stroke down my back and across my ass while he kisses her
ear. “Feel it sweetheart,” he murmurs, his voice husky. “Feel how much he wants
you.”

“Joseph,”
she whimpers. Fuck that’s a sexy sound. Silky walls clench around me as her
hands grip my ass, urging me into her faster, harder. Her head is thrown back,
her eyes squeezed shut, every muscle in her body pulled taut. She moves with
me, frantic and relentless, completely out of control, a slave to her body’s
demands. It’s the sexiest fucking thing I’ve ever seen. Her face softens with a
look of such vulnerability, and I hold her tight as she cries out her pleasure,
tucking my face in her neck before I’m overcome by my own world shattering
climax.

Airen

Abby
cradles Joseph’s head against her belly while they recover. His fingers trail
across her navel. Watching them has left me speechless. Their nudity pressed
together, his ass, her breasts, the look of bliss on her face and contentment
on his. I’ve never wanted anyone as badly as I do the two of them at this
moment.

Abby
smiles lazily, motioning for me to join them. “Are you okay?” she whispers,
running her fingers through my hair, concerned about my feelings after seeing
them together.

“Better
than okay,” I assure her, planting a kiss on her temple. She turns and plunges
her tongue between my lips, rubbing her fingers across my bulge before yanking
my underwear down where Joseph takes over removing them. I’m shoved down onto
my back. I fucking love it when she gets so worked up, and I was worried she
wouldn’t let go like this with the both of us.

“Oh,
Joseph,” she breathes, gazing at me while I lie naked and on display before
them. “Isn’t he gorgeous?”

“Sexy
as fuck,” he agrees, his voice hoarse with lust, those luminous green eyes
sweeping over me. Blood rushes to my cheeks as they explore my every nuance and
crevice. First with their eyes, then with roaming hands, soft lips, and warm,
wet tongues. They pounce on me. Joseph’s hand closes around me, forcing a groan
from my throat. I can’t take much more. I almost came just watching them. Abby’s
mouth closes on my nipple while Joseph licks slowly up my length, his lips
wrapping around me.

“Fuck,”
I growl. Abby’s hot tongue delves into my mouth as Joseph really lets me have
it. My hand fists his hair while my other pays homage to Abby’s breasts,
kneading and massaging. Christ, it’s never been like this. He moves so quickly,
and all I can feel is the heat of his mouth, the pressure of his lips, the
stroke of his tongue. I can’t hold back any longer.

“Joseph,”
I warn, panting and trying to pull his head away.

“Mmm,”
he moans, the vibration sending shockwaves through me. My hips are gripped so
tight, held down so I can’t escape. Fuck, I can’t fight it anymore.

Abby’s
soft voice is in my ear. “Give it to him, Air. It’s okay.” With a mind of their
own, my hips surge forward, and I fall apart under his expert mouth.

When
Joseph releases me, I instantly turn and pull Abby into my lap, plunging into
her, still half hard. She shrieks at the unexpected penetration, moaning when I
lengthen and harden inside of her.

“Ride
me,” I growl, reclining on the bed with my hands on her hips. Joseph kneels
behind her, his hands sliding around to caress her breasts while she moves and
grinds against me. He sucks the nape of her neck, and slides a finger between
her legs. She cries out almost instantly, rocketing into another orgasm, her
walls clamping down and pulsing around me. God, she feels fucking amazing, so
tight and scorching hot.

She
rears up and comes down on me so hard I expect to see an imprint of my ass in
the mattress. I watch Joseph pull her head back and thrust his tongue into her
mouth before his hand closes over my sack, kneading firmly.

“Fuck!”
I arch into Abby as the world drains away and is replaced by pure, mind numbing
pleasure. Abby collapses against my chest, panting while Joseph’s fingers play
up and down her spine. We lie in silence, limbs entangled, sweat drying on our
bodies.

Abby
plants a gentle kiss on my lips. “I love you,” she says, her eyes focused on
mine.

“I
love you, too, my sweet girl.” Joseph snores, breaking the moment, making us
both chuckle. Abby pushes a sweaty curl from his forehead. It’s a small tender
gesture that displays the love she has for him. I know how she feels.

“Do
you really feel okay about this, Air?” she whispers. “Now that we’ve actually
done it? Did it bother you to see him with me?” I take a second to drink in her
pink face and wild hair. She’s lying on her back, stomach pulled taut, making
no attempt to cover her nudity. She’s breathtaking in this moment, sexy to a
spectacular degree. I can’t bear to think how close I came to never seeing her
again.

“It
was wonderful, sweetheart. Watching you with Joseph was amazing. I didn’t
expect it to affect me the way it did. It was a surprise,” I admit quietly. The
truth is, I was a little worried about how I’d feel watching Abby make love to
him. It’s one thing to know they were intimate; it’s another to have it play
out before your eyes. But jealousy never reared its ugly head.

“I
saw a few surprising things myself.” Her grin is playful.

It
wasn’t easy for me to do those things with Joseph, especially knowing Abby was
watching. I love him, and I wanted him, but I still wonder why I want him this
way. Is it really because of my love for him, or another side effect of my
fucked up mind that can’t let go of things better kept locked away? The last thing
I want to do is taint the people I love with my past.

“How
did it make you feel?” I ask. She exhales, blowing air through her lips,
speechless. It makes me laugh. “I gathered as much from the ruckus you made
while watching.”

“Ruckus?”
She giggles. “Your redneck is showing, sweetheart.” She kisses my jaw before
her gaze settles on Joseph’s sleeping face. “Do you think it was good for
Joseph?”

I
glance at him, sprawled out beside us, sleeping like the dead. “My guess would
be yes.”

Her
body is soft against mine as she giggles, cuddling closer. “Why don’t you tell
Joseph you love him?” she asks, nuzzling my chest. Shit. I knew this was
coming.

“It’s
not that easy,” I mumble.

“I
understand, but he should know how you feel. Do you love him?”

“You
know I do.”

“Good.”
Her arms tighten around me.

“I
love you, too, beautiful. Both of you,” Joseph declares, his voice equal parts
emotion and amusement. How long was that asshole listening? Abby pulls him
closer, and he spoons up behind her, his arm draped across us.

“Eavesdropping
bastard,” I growl.

“Yeah,
but you love me,” he teases, making Abby giggle.

“Go
to sleep.”

After
they drift off I lay awake watching them. Abby has burrowed deeper between us,
her face bearing a look of sweet contentment. A small smile plays on Joseph’s
lips. He’s happy. I love them both. This is going to work. The declarations
repeat in my head, a mantra to lull me to sleep. I love them both. This is
going to work.

Chapter Fourteen

Abby

Joseph
plops down beside me on the sofa while I’m mating a seemingly endless pile of
socks. “Do you know what Airen and Eric are up to? They keep sneaking off for
hours at a time.”

“Sneaking
off?” I ask, stalling. Joseph’s thirtieth birthday is a few days away and I
really don’t want to spoil the surprise.

“Where
are they going, Abby?” he demands, regarding me closely.

“How
would I know? Maybe they’re scouting a new house for Julie.”

Joseph
snorts. “You’re a terrible liar, baby. They’d need my help to judge which
houses could easily be fitted with solar panels.”

“I
don’t know,” I mumble, focusing on the pile of laundry.

“Okay,
have it your way.” He seizes me around the waist, tosses me over his shoulder,
and heads toward the bedroom.

“Joseph!
Put me down!” What is it with him and throwing me over his shoulder? I reach
down and grasp the waistband of his boxer briefs and pull.

“Did
you just seriously give me a wedgie?” A hard slap lands across my ass before
I’m pinned to our bed, his heavy body straddling mine. “One last chance. What’s
Airen up to?” A devious grin stretches his lips as he reaches back to grip my
inner thigh just above my knee. Oh shit. He knows how ticklish that spot is, it
drives me crazy.

“Don’t,”
I plead, twisting and trying to wriggle out from under him.

“Then
tell me.”

“I
don’t know!” I laugh, slapping his hand away.

He
leans down and kisses me softly before whispering in my ear. “I think you do.”
I squeal again as his fingers dig in. It’s torture.

“Stop!”
I laugh. No matter how hard I fight him, I can’t get loose. He just smiles as I
buck and twist and plead for mercy. Finally, I’m allowed to catch my breath,
and I can’t help but smile at him when he stares down at me, grinning like a
kid.

“I
can do this all day,” he threatens and gives my other thigh a slight squeeze,
laughing when I jerk and call him a few colorful names.

“It’s
a surprise. That’s all I’m telling you. Don’t ruin it.”

A
doubtful expression lines his face. “A surprise?”

“Yes,
you asshole! Do you think we forgot you turn thirty this week?”

Abashed,
he gazes at me. “I am an asshole.”

“Well,
don’t wait for me to argue with your self assessment.”

He
gives my leg a final squeeze. “Watch it, lady.” I giggle as he flops down
beside me. “I love to hear your laugh, Abby,” he murmurs, nuzzling my neck.
“It’s my favorite sound. Well…maybe my second favorite.”

“So,
who edged me out of first place?” I tease, my fingers curling into his soft
hair. I can’t resist playing with those curls along the back of his neck.

“You
did. That stuttering little whimper you make when you’re about to come is the
sexiest sound in the world.”

“Stop,”
I whisper.

“I
adore it.” His lips are cool on my flushed cheek. “Tonight is our night and I plan
on hearing you until you lose your voice.”

“Mmm,
I think I can handle that.”

“I
love you, ladybug.”

“Ladybug?”
I grin at him, and he chuckles.

“Ladybugs
are little and pretty, but tough… like you.” I sigh. He says the sweetest
things. “Too cutesy?” By the look of his playful grin, he’s enjoying my bashful
expression.

“Yes,
but coming from your lips, I like it.”

“How
about baby girl? Doodle bug? Sweetie pie?” he teases.

“Sure,
and I’ll call you snicker doodle, or pudding pop. Airen already has dibs on dimples.”
I brush his cheek with my fingertip, grinning as he shakes his head. He acts
like he hates it when Airen teases him with that pet name, but I know he’s
secretly pleased.

“Ladybug
it is,” he concedes, pulling me to my feet.

“I
love you, too.”

Our
new schedule has been working out well, and we all seem to be happy with it. The
extra bedroom next door to ours is furnished for the nights each of us spends
alone. I slept there the night before last, leaving Airen and Joseph to their
private night. It was nice to have a night to myself, but I lay there for hours
wondering what they were doing. Oh, to be a fly on that wall. How do they act
together when I’m not there? What do they talk about? Are they intimate? I’m
such a nosy bitch.

It’s
not all about sex. There are plenty of one on one nights, and nights we spend
together that don’t lead to sex. It’s a typical relationship in that way. We do
our own thing during the day just like we always did, sharing the chores out
between us, and it feels very normal and domestic. The transition was
unbelievably smooth. I’ve never been so happy, nor seen Airen and Joseph so
elated.

Sadly,
it’s caused a rift between Jayla and me just as wide as the one between Julie
and Joseph. I know it hurts Joseph that Julie doesn’t spend time with him like
she used to. He loves her like a mother, and he’s already been abandoned by one
set of parents and lost another to the plague. Jayla rests the blame on me. We
just keep hoping they’ll see how happy we are and eventually come around.

Airen’s
excitement over his surprise for Joseph is absolutely adorable. Poor Eric has
been dragged out daily to help. Airen and Eric are much friendlier after their
catastrophic trip to Indianapolis. I suppose you can’t dislike a man who
dragged your unconscious ass across the state.

Joseph
once mentioned that he loves to rollerblade, that he and his husband had often
taken their twins to a local roller rink. Airen and Eric are working to build
him one in a building a few miles from us that once housed an everything-for-a-dollar-store.
It went out of business and was abandoned shortly before the plague. They have
spent hours polishing the floors, rigging up lights and speakers, and moving in
a few tables and chairs. They had to bring in a large generator to power a
garage heater to keep the place warm. I collected everyone’s shoe sizes so they
could get the skates from Paducah Mall, and Carson has been trying to keep
Joseph busy and distracted while I make enough food to feed our small army.
Everyone is excited.

Joseph’s
birthday dawns bright and sunny with the temperature quickly climbing into the
forties. The fields and roads are a slushy mess as the months of snowfall
finally melts. After an early dinner, everyone piles into the trucks, and we
head out for Joseph’s party. Joseph grins at me in confusion when we pull up in
front of the abandoned building. It doesn’t look like much from the outside.

“Don’t
look at me. This is Airen’s show.”

“What
is this place?”

“Let’s
go see.”

When
I’m old and gray I’ll remember the look on his face when he realized what Airen
had done. A sunny smile stretches ear to ear while he stares in awe at the
colored lights that rotate slowly, throwing soft patterns on the wall, illuminating
his joy. Jayla must see it too because she snaps a photo of him as he takes it
all in. Tiny silver sparkles reflect from the disco ball hanging in the center
of the ceiling, twinkling and gliding over the room.

Music
suddenly fills the space, a playlist of Joseph’s favorite songs, taken from his
iPod. Tables and chairs sit against the wall, full of food and drink. A sofa
rests in the corner along with a line of rollerblades and skates of different
sizes.

“We’re
gonna roller skate!” Walker cries, bouncing with excitement, unable to hold his
tongue for another second. “I didn’t tell him, Uncle Airen. I kept it secret.”
He grins proudly up at him.

“You
did great, buddy.” Airen ruffles his hair. “I think we surprised him.”

That’s
an understatement. For a second I’m sure Joseph is going to tear up. Instead,
he clears his throat and smiles at Airen. “This is amazing,” he says, his voice
husky, and grabs him in a rough bear hug.

“Happy
birthday, old man,” Airen murmurs.

Lexi
glances at me. “They’re too damn cute together, girl,” she muses.

“They’re
like little boys sometimes,” I remark fondly, ignoring Emma’s sour look. Jayla
is watching them as well, and confusion clouds her face.

“Let’s
skate! First one to fall on their ass has to be a designated driver,” I call,
grabbing Lexi’s hand and pulling her along. It’s a fantastic night. We all zoom
around, latching on to one another and falling on our butts.

When
a slow song begins to play, Joseph and Airen each catch one of my hands, pulling
me onto the floor. I feel like a giddy teenager again, all worked up over
holding hands with a boy. Looking at my boys, who could blame me? I remember
all too well being the girl sitting alone in a corner of the skating rink after
the D.J. called for couples only. Watching my friends pair up and smile shyly
at the boys who nervously asked to partner them. If they could only see me now,
flanked by two devastatingly handsome sex gods.

When
the song ends and is followed by another mellow love song, I fall back and link
Airen’s hand to Joseph’s. “You guys take this one.” I wink at Joseph when he
grins from ear to ear, and leave them alone on the floor, taking a seat at the
table next to Jayla.

She’s
watching them closely with a puzzled expression on her face. She’s grown into
such a beautiful young lady. Her dark hair is long, swept back from her face
and gathered at her crown in long curls. Her light chocolate skin is smooth and
unblemished. Those big dark eyes and long lashes would make any young boy fall
at her feet. She’s still struggling to understand this new relationship, and I’ve
tried to give her space and time to deal. Still, it hurts that she barely
speaks to me.

“Jay?
Are you all right?”

She
blinks as I pull her from her reverie and nods quickly before jumping to her
feet. “I’m fine,” she replies, leaving to join Carson at the food table.

When
the song comes to an end, Airen wraps his arms around Joseph’s waist, capturing
his lips in a soft kiss. Joseph gives a sheepish smile when we all applaud. A
public display of affection in front of everyone, that had to make Joseph’s night.
Airen bends at the waist, bowing and acting silly to mask his discomfort.
Unfortunately, his foot drifts a little too close to Joseph’s causing him to
trip and fall flat on his butt, taking Airen down with him. Everyone cheers
when they get to their feet, and my sides ache from laughter. We’re all in such
high spirits; I can’t remember when I’ve had such fun.

Julie
approaches me with Lane on her hip. “Little man is worn out,” she croons,
handing him to me. He’s too little to skate, but he has spent the evening crawling
around, often being scooped up for a ride. He lays his little head on my
shoulder, and I snuggle him, breathing his baby lotion scent. My sweet little
Airen look alike. “I’ll keep him tonight, Abby. He hasn’t spent the night with
me in weeks. I miss the little rascal.”

“Thank
you,” I accept. “I have a radio if you need me.” She nods and carries my
sleeping baby to the car.

Lexi
grabs my arm and hisses, “Emma is up to her former bullshit.” She nods in her
direction. Emma clings to Joseph, giggling while she attempts to stay on her
feet as he guides her around the floor. Flipping her hair, she smiles coyly up
at him. Why doesn’t she just start humping him?

Airen
glides up to me as I glare in their direction, flashing his charming smile and
linking his arm around my neck. “Skate with me, darlin’,” he drawls, pulling me
onto the floor. He skates backward so we’re facing one another with my arms
around his waist. Colored light falls softly on his face, illuminating that sultry
grin that still makes me weak in the knees. “What?” he asks, cocking his
eyebrow when I blatantly ogle him.

“Just
you. You’re too damn gorgeous to be real.” I kiss him gently, careful not to
tangle our feet. His lips press a kiss against the smooth skin on the inside of
my wrist, a spot he knows makes me break out in goose bumps.

“You
look lovely tonight, sweetheart,” he murmurs.

“Thank
you,” I reply, stroking the stubbled curve of his jaw.

He
knows how I feel about being complimented on my looks, and Joseph does as well.
The difference is Joseph’s stubborn ass won’t cooperate. “I say how I feel,
Abigail, get used to hearing it,” he said, and refused to hear another word on
the subject. Now Airen feels he has to say such things, especially after I
compliment him. It’s easier to let it go. I know it’s not true, but they love
me, and it’s just one way they try to show it.

A
loud peal of laughter from Emma draws our attention to her, sprawled across
Joseph’s lap on the floor, laughing while he tries to extricate himself and get
back to his feet. Her big boobs brush the side of his face when she stands. Shameless
slut. My back stiffens and I shoot daggers in their direction.

“Hey,
they’re just goofing around,” Airen says, pinching my chin and pulling my gaze
back to his face.

“I
know.” I smile quickly, but I know I’m not fooling him.
