In a gesture that mirrored his, Helen touched her baby’s petal-soft cheek. Then she reached over and caressed her husband’s faintly stubbled cheek, as well. “Feels that way to me, too.” She glanced at Dana Sue, who was openly cry
ing. “How about you? You think the world is ready for another Sweet Magnolia? We’re family, too.”

“Just think about it,” Dana Sue said, smiling through her tears. “Annie, Katie, Jessica Lynn and now Sarah Beth. Serenity will never be the same.”

“Something tells me it’ll be better than ever,” Erik said. “I can hardly wait to see what happens next.”

Helen exchanged a look with Dana Sue, then smiled down at her precious baby girl. “Amen to that.”
