Epilogue

Six weeks after Gabe’s proposal, Miranda stood at the drawing room window anxiously wringing her hands. “They’ll be here soon. A marquess in my house. It seems like a fairy tale.”

Gabe came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. “Stop worrying. They’ll love you.”

“Oh look, here they come.”

It wasn’t the marquess but two grooms from the nearest posting inn, leading Bianca and Murphy. With a cry of happiness, Miranda ran out to intercept the new arrivals and oversee their installation in the stables.

“There will be a fight for supremacy between Murphy and Sultan, I shouldn’t wonder,” Gabe remarked.

“We’ll be able to breed some wonderful horses with these two stallions.”

“It looks as though Bianca’s offering herself up as their first customer,” Gabe said, laughing as the mare flirted with them both.

While making sure the newcomers were comfortable, they almost missed Hal’s arrival. Before Miranda knew it, she was surrounded by all three of Gabe’s siblings, along with their wives, Flick’s husband and all their children. Space had been made for them all in the house and Mr. Banks, embarrassed by the trouble his manager had caused, had offered up his house for the rest of the wedding guests to be lodged there.

Gabe had been right. His family was a delight and made her feel entirely comfortable. She walked down the aisle the following day feeling radiant as she entered into a union with the man of her dreams, her heart brimming with love.

After the ceremony, Charlotte told her that everyone agreed she made a beautiful bride. Louisa Marshall would have to take Charlotte’s word for it since she hadn’t received an invitation.

Passion and scandal run rampant in the first three novels of the Forsters series by Wendy Soliman, available now!

Compromising the Marquess

Leah Elliot sells secrets to survive. Donning boy’s clothes, she uncovers society scandals for a London gossip rag to support herself and her sister, who were left destitute after their father’s death. When she meets the dashing—and perhaps dangerous—Hal Forster, the Marquess of Denby, she learns he may be involved in treason. The rumor is too valuable not to sell, despite her attraction to him…

Beguiling the Barrister

Flick—more properly known as Lady Felicity Forster—was twelve when she decided she was going to marry her handsome neighbor Darius Grantley. Now, embarking on her second season, she’s no nearer to that lofty ambition. She commits to making Darius fall in love with her, if only he’d take a break from pleading the case of the common criminal as a barrister at the Old Bailey…

Finessing the Contessa

Lord Robert Forster hopes to meet his match—on the chessboard. He jumps at the chance to cross rooks with the renowned Sicilian widow Contessa Electra Falzone. However, the lovely foreigner’s bold opening gambit raises concerns about her politics when she finds her way into his bedchamber, not with seduction in mind, but to steal state secrets…

About the Author Wendy Soliman was brought up on the Isle of Wight in southern England but now divides her time between Andorra and west Florida. She lives with her husband, Andre, and a rescued dog of indeterminate pedigree named Jake Bentley.

Wendy has more than twenty published novels to her credit—a mixture of Regency and contemporary romance, with a few mysteries thrown in for good measure.

When not writing she enjoys reading other people’s books, walking miles with her dog whilst plotting her next scene, and is on a one-woman mission to save the wine industry from the economic slump. Well, someone’s got to do it!
