"Come for me baby! I am so close, but I need to hear
you come for me."

As though his voice was all she needed to hear to fall
into her orgasm, her already tight pussy clamped further onto his dick. She
arched her back, eyes closed, and his name on her lips. Simply beautiful.

He came a moment later, pushing as far into her as he
could. "Izzy, oh God." He moaned as his muscles tensed and relaxed.
He collapsed on top of her.

They both panted for a moment, before he leaned on his
forearms to kiss her. He felt so connected to her. A feeling he was not used to
associating with sex. Sure, he and his partners always had a good time
physically, emotions however were never involved. Tonight he felt raw with
emotion for this woman.

"I'm going to pull out."

"Ok baby." She practically purred her response.

Alex slowly pulled out, seeing her wince at the end nearly
killed him. He kissed her lazily for a bit.

Trying to tell her in that time they kissed how much this experience
meant to him.

"I am going to go clean up, in the bathroom real
quick. I'll be right back." He kissed her nose a couple of times.

She mumbled something in return.

Izzy was already half asleep before he even left the bed.
When he got to the bathroom, he went to remove the condom, panic set in when he
saw the blood covering the prophylactic.

Crap, did I hurt her? Is she ok?
That's when the reality of the situation hit him like a ton of bricks. The
barrier he had felt when pushing in, the blood on the condom, he had just taken
her virginity.

How a woman as gorgeous and funny as
Izzy could possibly be a virgin at her age baffled him completely.

He smiled at the thought of being her first.
Being special to her. Unfortunately, two seconds later, his earlier panic
returned. Alex damn near collapsed in the bathroom, steadying himself by
grabbing onto the counter. Between the connections he felt and the fact she had
given him her virginity, Alex was freaking the fuck out over the expectation
she would have of him come morning.

He needed to escape. He wasn't
emotionally mature enough to deal with the feelings coming alive within
him.

He was only 26 years old, not done
sowing his wild oats. She deserved someone who could give her 110% of his
attention and heart. He was not that man.

Not even close.

He felt his heart
break at the thought of leaving her. The panic, however, was screaming at him
louder than his heart for him to run as far and as fast as he could.

Slowly, he opened the bathroom door.
Peeking out to see if she was awake.

He
let out a breath of relief when he saw Izzy curled up on her side. Her hair
flowing over her pillow. Her hands tucked together beneath her head. Her lips
were red and swollen from his kisses, curled in a slight smile as she slept.

Alex dressed quickly and
quietly.

He leaned over the bed, took in
her scent one last time. Brushed her hair from her face.

Resting his head on hers, he whispered.
"I'm so sorry for this, baby. I'm just not ready to love anyone and you
deserve all the love in the world." Kissing her cheek quickly.

He pulled the cover over her to keep her
warm. Grabbing his wallet from the nightstand, Alex left her room, a single
tear running down his cheek.

~*~*~*~

Izzy awoke a few hours
later.

She stretched, wincing slightly
at the unfamiliar soreness.

Smiling to
herself at the memory of the night before.

She had finally had sex.

She knew she should
have told him beforehand, but it wasn’t that she had been holding on to her
virginity out of any religious belief or waiting for the perfect man.

No, for her the opportunity had never
presented itself.

Her parents had passed
away, the summer before her freshman year in college.

Leaving her devastated and in no mood for
romance.

After she recovered from the
loss, she simply didn’t know how to flirt or be noticed by the opposite
sex.

A fact that was made worse by her
two best friends.

Roni, although clumsy
as all get out, was a bombshell.

Every
man’s wet dream come to life.

Her other
friend Gracey was cute, flirty, outgoing and fun.

Izzy took a back seat with the two of them
around.

Izzy wasn't eye catching or
outgoing.

She was quiet and
reserved.

Which equated to be being
boring in the eyes of men.

Jeremy was the first
man she had come out of her shell for.

He drew her out with his offhand sense of humor and laid back
manner.

Speaking of the man, she rolled
over to find the bed empty and cold to her touch.

Sitting up, she looked around the dark
room.

Seeing no light coming from the
bathroom, she leaned over to flick on the lamp on the nightstand.

In one heartbreaking moment, Izzy took in the
room.

Her eyes flicking to the place his
clothes should have been, only to see they were gone.

She tried to keep the
hurt from boiling over.

Maybe he went to get coffee
.

Her heart interjected, fighting the blatant
truth.

Her brain knew the truth.

Knew he had used her.

Sneaking out in the middle of the night while
she slept.

Tears began to run down
her face.

Jeremy had been so kind to
her.

Was it all an act?

Izzy thought for a minute, deciding she was
going to find out for sure.

She threw
the blanket off of her naked body.

Dressed in the same clothes she had worn the day before and headed for
the front desk.

Izzy knew he was
staying at the same hotel, knew his name, that should be good enough for her to
find out his room number.

Once she
figured out what room he was in, she was either going to beg him for an
explanation or kick his perfect ass.

“Hello, how can I help
you Ms. Newport?”

The overly friendly
front desk lady asked with a bright smile.

A smile that irked Izzy.

However, if Izzy was
going to get information from the lady she had to match the woman’s sunshine
mood.

Plastering on a matching smile,
Izzy took the most direct route she could.

“Good morning, I was supposed to meet Mr.

Porter for breakfast, but I overslept and I
think I missed him.

Can you give me his
room number?”

The lady smiled
brightly, too brightly.

“I’m sorry Ms. Newport.

I can’t give out that information.”

Figures.

“Can you call up to Jeremy and ask him to
meet me in the lobby?”

She wouldn’t be
able to kick his ass in public but she would be able to get answers.

“Jeremy Porter?”

“Yes”

The woman shook her
head and typed something on her computer.

“I’m sorry Ms.

Newport but we
have an Alex Porter, staying here, no Jeremy Porter.”

The woman pointed her well-manicured finger
at the screen.

“It appears, Alex Porter
checked out earlier than expected. He left a few hours ago.”

Izzy stood there in the
middle of the lobby, with her mouth open and shock written clearly on her
face.

Holding herself up by clenching
her hands on the front desk, she held herself together long enough to ask, “Did
you say his first name was Alex, not Jeremy?”

The true nature of
Izzy’s need to find the man, clearly dawned on the woman.

“Oh, honey. Men are scum.”

She patted Izzy's hand and shook her head in
silent support.

All Izzy could do was
nod. Mumbling her thanks to the woman, she numbly made it back to her room
where she proceeded to empty the mini bar.

Drunk as a skunk, she allowed herself the meltdown she deserved to
have.

When she was on her
third, or maybe it was her fourth shooter, her friends burst into her
room.

Laughing, ready for a day on the
beach.

She knew the moment they saw her,
because the laughter stopped and suddenly she was engulfed in a three way
hug.

“Izzy, are you ok?

What happened?”

Roni’s soft voice encouraged her to talk.

Gracey took a different
approach.

“Whose ass do I need to kick?”

She smiled
slightly.

She loved these girls.

“I was stupid.

And naïve.

Men suck and all of them should be castrated.”

Izzy tried for light hearted humor.

Failing miserably.

“Spill now.”

Gracey ordered, grabbing the shooter from
Izzy's hand, downing it herself.

Thirty minutes and a
lot more shooters later, she had told her friends all about Jeremy.

About him treating her like a princess.

About him taking her virginity.

About him running out on her as she
slept.

About him checking out early.

She left out the part that his name was not
really Jeremy.

That embarrassment was
for her knowledge alone.

“He left the
hotel?

As in, checked out of the hotel?”

Roni asked, her voice starting to echo
Gracey’s violent tone.

Izzy rested her head on
Roni’s shoulder, too drunk and hurt at this point to keep upright, and nodded.

“The first man to show interest in me and I
ran him off.”

“No, that's on him not
you!

Men are all cocksuckers!”

Gracey growled. “Makes a girl want to stock
up on batteries for her vibrator and call it a day.”

The three girls stayed
in the hotel room all day, drinking, ordering room service and male
bashing.

Not how Izzy had planned on
spending her day.

She had still planned on
being in bed with Jeremy or Alex or whatever the fuck his name was.

On that thought, she took another shot.

The burn of the alcohol matching the pain in
her heart.

Izzy soon passed out
into a fitful sleep, filled with dreams of the Viking god who ran away.

Chapter Three

6
years later…

Alex practically had to
drag

Derek into the bar.

Derek was a brilliant computer programmer but
he had the social skills of a timid cat.

Tonight they were going to celebrate the deal they had made with the two
leading assholes in the world.

There was
no way Alex was going to let Derek sit at home and work his life away after a
victory over those two.

Derek was whining, for
the millionth time, about Alex, pulling him away from his precious work to go
bar hopping.

“Shut the fuck up, we just
got the land deal done with the douche bag twins.

Time to celebrate my friend.

You need to step away from your computer if
you are ever going to get laid.”

Alex
quipped in response to his friend’s whine.

“I get laid enough
without your help asswipe!”

“Yeah, when was the
last time a woman got you off instead of your own hand and some porn?”

Alex challenged.

“Let’s just grab a beer
and go home.

I really do have work to
do.

Remember, I am the brains behind
this business.”

Derek smiled back,
knowing he was pushing Alex’s buttons.

Alex only smiled back
at his friend, not willing to engage him in that discussion.

His friend suddenly stopped walking.

Following Derek’s line of sight to the bar,
he knew he had done his friend a huge favor by dragging his ass out.

Sitting at the bar was the girl Derek had
been obsessing over for six months.

Alex
turned to his friend, a devious smile on his face.

“We are not leaving this bar without you at
least getting her name, getting her naked would be better.”

“Naked right here in
the bar?”

“Don’t knock public sex
until you have tried it.”

Alex
shrugged.

“Seriously?

What kind of girls do you date?

Never mind, I don’t want the answer.

I can see the answer written all over your
face.”

Derek took a deep breath.

“Fine, I will talk to her, but you are to
either go to the other side of the bar or shut the fuck up.

I don’t need you hitting on her friend.

We both know that will kill any chance I
have.”

Alex knew Derek was
right.

Most likely he would end up in
the back of the bar with her friend, getting blown or having sex with her.

Neither scenario would endure his friend to
Starbucks Girl.

He simply laughed it off
and followed after Derek.

Sitting a few seats
down from the girls, he ordered a beer, and sat back to watch the show.

Alex hoped his friend didn’t screw this
up.

Derek had been trying to ask this
girl out for half a year now.

He watched
as Derek leaned in close to her ear, a move Alex had taught him.

He was grinning like a proud mother as he
watched Derek work his magic.

His face
went from grinning to wincing when he saw the girl’s elbow connects with
Derek’s face.

Pushing him back into a
table of beefed up guys.

“Oh for fuck’s
sake.”

Alex half growled half
laughed.

He decided he better make his
way over to Derek, just in case.

When one of the huge
men grabbed Derek by the shirt, Alex knew it was time to step in and save his
friend.

“Dude, chill.

Clumsy Barbie over there, all but broke his
nose simply turning around.

If you are
going to blame anyone, blame her.” Alex interjected, laughing the entire time
in an attempt to defuse the situation.

And for good measure, he turned to the blonde, in question adding, “Isn’t
that right, sweetheart?”

He flashed his
best panty wetting smile.

By the look on her
face, his playboy smile had failed.

As
Clumsy Barbie verbally obliterated him, he saw the guy drop his hands from
Derek’s shirt and smile.

He didn’t enjoy
the woman calling him a Neanderthal or implying he had escaped from a mental
institute but at least his friend was no longer going to take a punch to the
face.

Clumsy Barbie walked
off to tend to an injured Derek.

Alex
shook his head and smiled.

Maybe Derek
would actually get the girl this time.

He looked at the bar to introduce himself to her friend, his world
stopped when their eyes met.

How did
that quote from Casablanca go? “Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all
the world, she walks into mine.”

That
about summed up Alex’s shock at seeing Izzy sitting at the bar.

By the look on her face she was just as
stunned.

His heart stopped.

He had dreamed about this moment.

Wished he would find her one day.

The pull he felt toward her all those years
ago still crackled between the two of them.

Without thinking he walked over to her.

“Well, if it isn’t my long lost wife.”

His cocky attitude poured through the single sentence.

~*~*~*~

In a state of pure
shock over seeing the man she dreamed about so often, Izzy barely blinked or
took a breath when she saw Jeremy, or Alex.

Her heart was pounding so hard she was worried she was going to pass
out.

That’s when he spoke.

Joking the same way he had when they met.

Bringing back all the pain, anger and
humiliation she had felt all those years ago when he walked out on her without
a word.

She took some joy in
the fact that he at least remembered her.

However, not enough to stop her from lashing out at him in the middle of
the bar.

“Well if it isn’t the man who
took my virginity and ran from the hotel room the minute he was finished using
me.

Jeremy is it?

That is your name correct?”

She said quietly. Her anger and bitterness
too powerful to keep from showing on her face.

He started to look a
little nervous when she spoke his name.

His smile fell and his hand rubbed the back of his neck.

“Actually the name is Alex, Alex Porter.

Izzy, I…I am sorry for the way I treated
you.”

Then as though his quick apology
made up for the way he had behaved his cocky smile returned.

“Looks like we are going to be friends-in-law
if my boys gets his way, so how about we kiss and make up?”

For the second time in
a matter of minutes, her body went into shock.

Did he actually just say that?

No one can that be that cocky.

Then he moved closer to her, smiling as
though he had her right where he wanted her. Something in her just snapped at
that very moment.

Years of hatred for
this very man flooded her system, cutting off any rational thought.

“You’re an asshole!!” Izzy screamed, jumping
down from her barstool.

She now stood
toe to toe with the man who had all but destroyed her in a matter of days.

He reached out for her.

His body language shifting from
confident to compassionate.

Was that
sadness in his eyes? If it was, she didn’t care.

Pure rage took over her mind at that
point.

Izzy had never slapped a man before;
nonetheless, that is exactly what she did.

As hard and as fast as she could, she slapped her small hand across his
perfect face.

“Seriously, you should
never ever be allowed out of your house without a trained nurse or a larger
dose of your medication!” Izzy pushed her glasses up her nose.

“You asshat, are the reason women hate
men.

I don’t even care what your real
name is and I am ready to jump on the hate Suit Boy bandwagon.

So take your frat house attitude and shove it
up your ass and leave me the
fuck
alone!”

The douche bag had the
good sense not to say a word to her.

Izzy
looked over to Roni and nodded to the door.

The universal sign saying “time to go.”

She grabbed her purse and pushed past the man who took her heart and
stomped all over it.

She left the bar
without a backwards glance.

Hoping she
would never see him again, but having a bad feeling this brief encounter was
only the beginning.
