Getting Even

April Vine

Sara Smith’s extravagantly planned pity party goes out the
window when her best friends, Alan Sanders and Ridge Cox, take matters into
their own hands. Literally. Both men refuse to stand by and watch her heart
break over a loser she blessed with a hundred and two blowjobs—but received
nothing in return—who was now marrying someone else. Instead they convince her
revenge is sweet and feed her ideas of getting even.

Naked. With them. On stage. While other people watch.

Hotly seduced, Sara gives in to temptation. And discovers
herself along the way.

Chapter One

Alan wrestled the wrinkled newspaper from my desperate
clutch. Sleek biceps flexed under his black t-shirt as he squashed the sum of
my misery and chucked it into the bin in the corner of my kitchen. Did he
really think my despair could be disposed of that easily?

Well, he was wrong. The dismal headline
Diamond Heiress
Katrina Stelberg to Wed Cape Town Businessman Danny Munro
was already
etched into my brain and served as a constant reminder of my spectacular
inadequacies, of which there were many.

Each word of the article pierced my heart as if they were
throwing stars. Did I really think one hundred and two blowjobs later Danny
would fall in love with me? And might I add that I swallowed all one hundred
and two times and he reciprocated zero times? How deluded could I have been?

I zoomed in on a cupcake, one of many teasing delights centering
my kitchen table, bought to appease my sorry ass by creating a comforting layer
to cushion my sorrows.

“Oh no.” Ridge uncurled my fingers from the mini-cake and
catapulted it into the bin, the gooey, chocolaty topping splattering onto the
balled-up tabloid.

My gaze whipped between the two men overshadowing my little
kitchen with all their brawn. My head still spun in confusion every time I
looked at my neighbors. How Alan Sanders and Ridge Cox became my best friends
in the whole world mystified me on a daily basis. We made for an unusual trio,
Alan, Ridge and I. They, the epitome of male beauty and me…well, the epitome of
dull. Now didn’t they realize they were seriously ruining a very extravagantly
planned pity party?

I deserved to wallow, didn’t I? The man I loved was marrying
someone else. Someone whose father owned diamond mines, someone who was
charming, sophisticated, blue-eyed and fair-haired. Me, on the other hand… I
lacked personal charm, social rank, riches and beauty. Full marks to me for being
delusional. Did I really think he’d fall for someone like me, his secretary’s
assistant, whether I swallowed or not?

Ridge’s powerful and calloused hands grasped my arms, picked
me up from my chair and stared straight into my eyes. “Tough love, kiddo, and
it starts now. You’re intelligent, you’re sexy, you’re funny, you’re beautiful.
Don’t look at me like that. It’s true.”

Clearly, I wasn’t the only one deluded. Maybe no-nonsense,
luxury-car mechanic Ridge hadn’t noticed my drab, mousy-brown hair, split and
frazzled at the ends, my unexpressive eyes, my tiny eyelashes, my
too-thick-for-my-face lips or my long dangly arms, my skinny second toe
overtaking my big toe, my crooked feet, my crooked knees. He’d known me for
going on forever now, so how misguided could he be?

“It’s time to do you over. And ‘no’ is not an option,” Ridge
said. I wasn’t getting any surgery done, if that’s what they meant about a
do-over. Or should I?

Alan picked me out of Ridge’s hold and turned me around to
face him. He soothed my cheek with his soft artist hands. “Yes, we’re going to
strip away your shield.”

“Uncover the real you,” Ridged said as he reclaimed me.

“Peel away all your inhibitions.” Back to Alan I went.

“What you’re doing is making me dizzy.” I wobbled a bit.
Man, I needed an éclair or nine.

“We’re going to expose you for the beauty you are.” Ridge
softened his tone as he faced me. His intense topaz eyes warmed my cold skin
like a slow-rising sun.

“Sara, listen to us. Just knowing that you knelt before him
and his damn dick time and time again and he didn’t even touch you back makes
me see red.” Yes, Alan, made himself quite clear about what color he saw when
it came to Danny and me.

“Do you know what it felt like for us to see this guy take
advantage of you? I wanted to rip his gut out.” And Ridge made it quite clear
what he wanted to do with Danny’s gut.

“It was a couple of times only,” I lied. Was I still
protecting Danny? How sickening of me.

“Bullshit. We knew every time it happened, Sara. The man is
a selfish bastard and you’re better off without him.”

No, Ridge
,
I’m not better off without him, but it
doesn’t matter, does it, because he’s getting married.

“But you know the worst thing that could happen? He is still
going to expect a blowjob from you even though he is married and that is what
we are not standing for. No fucking way,” Ridge continued, broadcasting my
worst fear. Not that Danny would think our parasitic relationship should change
because of his marriage but that I’d have no willpower to refuse him in spite
of it.

“There is a solution, a sound solution that will make you
see how much better you deserve than him. It’s about getting even.”

Getting even?
Was Alan thinking what I was thinking?
Assassinate the bride and kidnap the bridegroom to be my slave?

“And the only way to get even is to double your game play,
do it twice as hard. The only proper way to get even is to do it with two.”

I wasn’t following Ridge’s math and I’m pretty good with
numbers. My brows met in the center of my forehead. What were they on about?

“Come do a gig with us.” Alan’s hand slid over my shoulder,
his fingers kneaded the knots at my nape, coaxing me to relax but really
sending my nerves on an uncharted course.

“You know you’ll be safe with us.” Ridge’s hand joined
Alan’s. Surely I was dreaming this up. I sucked up my sniffles, stepped away,
folded my arms and stared at my friends.

“You’re not serious?”

“We’re dead serious.”

“Right, of course, you are. But let me get this straight.
You want to place me in front of a select clientele in a private mansion, in a
pair of glittering panties only to have said pair of glittering panties removed
by…both of you, in front of said select clientele. Is that truly the answer to
all my problems?”

“Yes!”

I offered Ridge a look of exasperation as reply to his
enthusiastic “yes”. Okay, I had enough I decided so I dropped my arms, tossed
my bad hair back, reached for a cinnamon bun and snorted before I took a big
bite. I had pity party nirvana status to achieve.

“I can’t believe you guys would choose a time like this to
tease me,” I muttered around the bun in my mouth. Do a gig with them? Were
they crazy? While Alan and Ridge could not be more different in personalities,
they shared the same intense interest in sexual exhibitionism and had done
shows for five years already. Sure, they joked about me joining them. I just
never took them seriously and I’m sure they weren’t either. Besides, if I
showed up with them as one of their “recreational interests” I’d get them
instantly fired or worse, have rotten tomatoes thrown at us well before we got
to the bed.

But never mind that, did they think this through?
Me?
They wanted me to be a part of a trio—as in the third person of a threesome,
the middle of the sandwich. Goodness socks, they seriously wanted to have sex
with me. In front of other people. In front of other rich people who paid for
the privilege. Did I say they were crazy? I meant deranged, certifiable and
downright silly.

“You deserve a chance to be cherished. To be worshipped.”
The tone of Alan’s voice changed from soft to husky. Whispers of excitement
slithered down my skin. What was happening to me?

“He’s right, babe. Try us, come on.” Ridge stepped closer. I
was finding it hard to breathe. I always thought of sex when I was with my
friends, but it never involved me, oh no. Even in my fantasies I imagined them
with some hot exotic beauty, because they were so well above me. I also thought
that because Danny and I grew up in the same town, he a mediocre businessman
and me a mere assistant, that his aspirations were similar to mine—settle down
and have a family and live a mediocre life. Yeah, right. How did that pan out?

He inherited a shitload of money from an estranged uncle,
invested every last cent into troubled Stelberg Mines Company and was rewarded
with Stelberg’s daughter, Katrina. He certainly got his Cinderella story and I
got bitch slapped by real life. Everything was hopeless. I was through kidding
myself, through believing in fairytales. I was going to live out my days in
drab spinsterhood, alone and unwanted.

“We want you, Sara.”

They closed in on me, like sleek predators sensing something
they wanted at any cost. Except that it was me they closed in on.

“Don’t think about it, just get in the deep end and swim
with us. You’ve got nothing to lose.”

My legs quivered as Alan’s whispery words danced against my
jawline. I caught my lip between my teeth and chewed. Ridge closed the bracket
from the other side. I was the middle.

“We’ll be so fucking good together, the three of us.” Ridge
licked the shell of my ear then bit into it.

Oh. My. Word. I crumbled. I couldn’t stand on my own two
feet. Something else must have been keeping me upright, because it wasn’t my
legs, they’d turned to jelly minutes ago already. Alan’s fingers zigzagged
across my breast, catching my aroused nipple with his nail. I gasped. I
shuddered. I trembled like a virgin.

I just died when both he and Ridge lowered their heads and
opened their mouths over my hard nipples. Not even my thick cotton t-shirt
prevented me from feeling the moist heat they poured over my breasts. Alan
licked tentatively, teasingly, making me for squirm for more. Ridge suckled
hard and singed my senses to ashes. All I wanted to do was open my legs. My
knees separated. No wait, I had to think about this. They were my friends.

They each took control of one of my hands and placed them
over their cocks.

“Feel that, baby? It’s what you’re doing to us.”

Low and behold. Danny never let me touch him with my hands,
only my mouth. The sensations in my hands skyrocketed. I tingled from my
fingertips to my toes. I slid my palms over their hardness. I sculpted their
feel to memory. I hadn’t touched an erect cock in almost two years, and I
wanted to savor the moment before they came to their senses and threw my hands
off them. I closed my eyes and purred. They pulsed in my hands.

Light, feathery fingers worked their way to the knot of my
track pants, brushing against my skin. My eyes shot open. My head swung from
one male gaze to the other. Confidence emanated from their eyes, their bodies
pillars of strength beside me, givers of pure pleasure, enhancing the trust I
already had in them. My knot unraveled. They were going to touch me. I lost my
hold on gravity and sagged downward but never hit the floor. Somehow, they kept
me upright and on fire.

“Haven’t you always wondered what her pussy would be like,
Ridge?”

“I’ve dreamed of Sara’s pussy. I bet she’s all soft and
wet.”

Hands were touching me.

“Just as we thought.”

“She’s smooth all over?”

“Better, she’s smooth and velvety soft.”

My mons glowed with pride I didn’t know I had but then
again, no man I’d ever been with had ever said such a lovely thing. Surely, I
had to stop them long enough for them to summon their lost common sense. Wasn’t
that the right thing to do? Shouldn’t I warn them that they had mistaken me for
someone else altogether? I was in fact plain Sara Smith, their friend since
high-school days who grew up into a pathetic loser painfully in love with her
boss, Danny Munro. Yes, that pathetic loser friend.

“Is she wet?”

“Have a feel. I cleared the way for you.”

Danny who? They were talking about me. No, they were talking
about my privates…while I was in the same room. I had died. Or I was having one
of those nocturnal orgasms and they hadn’t even done me yet. No matter how many
times I touched myself, caressed the aching lips of my sex or rolled my heated
clit between my fingers, my self-induced climaxes provided temporary relief but
doubled the longing for a man’s hand. Two years since I had sex and no, my dildo
doesn’t count, and now I had two men who wanted me. But why? Why do they want
me? Out of pity? Did they feel sorry for their unlucky-in-love friend?

“Say yes.” Ridge’s breath played over my shoulder. His
fingers slipped between my legs. The word tore from my mouth, but I stifled it
just in time. The tip of his index digit glided over my clit and dipped between
my folds—my loose pants giving us both enough room.

I had to stop this. I felt as if I were leading them astray.
I had to stop them at once.
