"The Devourers are still out there," Logan said. "Dhozo and the rest were just one engineering team. The rest of the fleet is somewhere in the universe. They're hungry and they know we're here."

"They will come back someday," Maeve agreed. "This galaxy is their home."

"It's our home, too."

"Scarred though it is," said Maeve, placing her hand over Logan's mechanical heart. "It is ours. And we will always fight for it."
