“You’ve done a bang-up job so far,” Beck told her.

“You’re serious, aren’t you?”

“Never more so,” they said together.

“I know it’s a lot to take in, and you probably think it’s too soon after Sal to get involved in a serious relationship.” Troy spread his hands. “We get that, and we’re prepared to wait. You can stay with us on whatever basis you’re comfortable with until you’ve had time to reach a decision.”

“That’s very generous, and a very tempting offer, but I—”

“We’ve talked about this,” Troy said. “It’s what we all want, but for you it won’t be like with Sal. You’ll submit to us in the house, but you can still be yourself, have a life of your own outside of it that we don’t control.”

“I don’t see how.” Porcha shook her head. “Tempting as it is to say I’ll stay, you three will be dashing off on another job soon, leaving me to kick my heels up here because you don’t want me to be endangered.” She lifted her eyes to one dear face after another. “I love you all, but that’s not enough. I
can
look after myself, and in case you don’t believe me, I’d best remind you that four men broke in here. I killed one and didn’t break down and go all girly when I saw the blood. I threw a second one across Troy’s desk,
and
I gave the third one a good kick in the gonads before they took me.”

Troy laughed. “Wish I’d known about that last part. I wouldn’t have been able to help mentioning it to Sanchez-Punto yesterday if I had.”

“See, you’re making a joke out of it.”

“No, love, I—”

“When I was captured I managed to escape, tricking one guy and shooting another in the process, and
you
want to protect
me
.” She shook her head. “It wouldn’t work.”

“Which is why we’re offering you a place on the team, if you want it,” Troy said, smiling at her. “You didn’t let me get to that part.”

“You’re what!”

“One of the many things we love about you is your courage,” Beck told her. “Your feisty determination to fight, to give as good as you get, and the hell with the consequences.”

“That aspect of your character is probably coming out so strong because Sal kept you so securely under his thumb,” Adam added.

Beck nodded. “But we think we’ve seen the real you and, hey, we love what we see.”

“We often get jobs that involve looking after a woman,” Troy said. “Your inclusion in the team would help a lot there. Look how you reacted to us when we first called on you, but if there’d been a woman with us, I’m betting you’d have felt differently.”

Porcha nodded, in a daze. They really seemed to be serious. “But there’s a lot I don’t know.”

“Nothing that we can’t teach you.”

“I’m scared of the water, which is one of the reasons why I didn’t run into the yard when those guys broke in. I had a bad experience in a swimming pool when I was a kid, and I never really got over it.”

“We’ll get you through that.”

“What do you say, babe?” Troy asked. “Will you stay here to work and play with us and let us love you like you deserve to be loved?”

Was she crazy, even hesitating? They were offering her the sort of opportunity she’d never dared to even dream about. A job, a home, three hunky lovers…Any woman in her position would jump at the chance.

“I say yes!” She leapt up and flung her arms round Adam’s neck, simply because he was the closest one to her.

“That would be yes, master.” He disengaged her arms, and just before she dutifully dropped her eyes, she noticed the triumphant smile Adam shared with his two buddies. “Assume a submissive position, Porcha. We’re not at work now.”

“Yes, masters.”

Porcha dropped to her knees in front of Adam. Happiness fizzed through her bloodstream as she told all three of them with her eyes and her body language that she didn’t need to think about their proposition.

She was theirs for keeps.
