But at that moment, as she ambled into the suit she couldn’t
help, but dream all over again—the house in the same Allan, Reno and Matthew
had built their own, two brothers and one sister for Esme to play and care for,
and planning Easter dinner and egg hunts at her home because all the other
holidays were already taken; Thanksgiving was at Loraine’s, Christmas at
Riana’s, New Year at Amy’s and the fourth of July was spent at the Sinclair
cabin up at the mountains. A year away from her family and it felt like she’d
been gone an entire lifetime.

She followed the carpet of roses to the electric fireplace.
“Oh Ruiz!”

His footsteps were soft as he came up behind her. “This is
why I didn’t invite Jon Luc,” he spoke right behind her.

Laid out in front of the fireplace was the thick comforter
in the same red cover as their wedding night. The same red and blue checked
Maasai blanket that resembled a tartan that he bought from the African Market
when they were in London. He had the same brand of champagne sitting in an ice
cooler with two glass flutes filled half way with strawberry pieces, and of
course white and dark chocolate covered strawberries. He’d taken them back to
the happiest day of her life. Tears slowly ran down her cheeks as she looked at
each item of the set up one more time then she closed her eyes committing it all
to memory. She felt his hands on her shoulders and she moved back to lean
against him, her back against his chest. She could feel how fast his heart
beat, it mirrored her own.

“Do you like it?” he whispered in her ear.

She nodded. “I love it,” she whispered back. She turned
around in his arms to stare up at him. “Why?”

He smiled tenderly down at her, drying her cheeks with his
thumbs as he cupped her face in his large hands. “Because this was the happiest
day of our lives and I thought we both need to relive it. Just because we are
starting fresh doesn’t mean we should forget our happiest moments. On the
contrary, I believe we need to remember them and not take them for granted
because those moments are what led to us falling in love with each other.”

She looked around the candle lit room once more, taking it
all in before she turned back to him, “This was the happiest day of my life,”
she confessed, “but you seemed to have forgotten the morning of it,” she
teased.

He chuckled. “It wouldn’t have been the same without the
snow.”

She grinned up at him. “No, it wouldn’t.”

His smile lessened to a looped one and his eyes darkened
with desire. “Now to the part I’ve been waiting all day for,” he leaned down,
moving his head closer to hers, his eyes riveted on her lips. Feeling
breathless, her lips fell open and her eyes fluttered closed in anticipation of
that
kiss, the one that would send
her to her knees. She wasn’t sure if he was conscious of it, but he only gave
her
that
kiss in moments she called
‘epiphany of love’ like at that moment, it hit him exactly how much he loved
her.
That
kiss was all the
confirmation a girl needed.

And just as she had expected, it knocked the wind out of
her! His lips folded around hers in such possession, she feared for a moment
they might bleed. He didn’t bother being gentle; it was like he couldn’t. All
that he felt was released in that kiss and just like everything he did, it was
intense, hard and made her weak in the knees. And when his tongue met hers, it
was a duel that had her holding onto him otherwise she would have been on the
floor in a putty mess! That kiss made her feel and un-feel—feel his love and
un-feel her body, especially her legs! But she always retained feeling in her
belly, the burning feeling of desire at the pit of it wasn’t one to be easily
ignored.

He pulled away and under heavy lidded eyes and a mind that
was still stuck in a fog, she watched him watch her, eyes ablaze with desire as
if he was waiting for something. It took a few seconds for her head to clear
and she realized that was what he was waiting for when his hands dropped from
her arms. He was holding her up and with good reason. She’d smoked weed once
during her experimenting days—one of those days she decided to add sex to that
experimenting list and Allan had quickly disabused her of that by showing up at
the motel before the deed was done—and the high was nothing like
that
kiss Ruiz occasionally bestowed on
her.

His hands rose to her chest and she watched as he opened her
blouse slowly, twisting each button with his thumb and index finger before he
pushed them out of the hole, running his finger over her breastbone. She
watched his do that with all twelve buttons her breath hitching each time his
fingers caressed newly exposed skin. Once he had all the buttons done, he
dragged his fingers up her exposed front. He ran his fingers along her collar
bone as he pushed the shirt, parting it open stopping when he reached the
pointy bone at her shoulders and letting the shirt hang there. He stared at the
cream lace of her bra with such intensity, she was sure his gaze would make
them disappear. She watched as his eyes darted between the two globes taking a
few seconds on each before switching attention. He studied her then slowly drew
his middle fingers down the swells of her breasts stopping where the lace of
the bra began.

“Pretty, but unnecessary at the moment.” His voice was
steady, but rough with desire. He reached for the front clasp of the bra and
with one flick of his fingers it fell open, her breasts bouncing out of it.
“That’s better.” He caressed her again and again he stopped right above her
nipple. Her breath caught in anticipation, her body trembled in anguish as she
waited for him to touch her where she craved it the most. Through her half mast
eyes she caught his wolfish grin. He knew what he was doing to her, the torture
he was caused her twisting insides when he drew circles around her areola but
never touching her where she needed his course finger tips the most. He then
finished the track by trailing his fingers down the under curve of her breast
to the base.

“I like these. They are bigger. I loved how they spilled out
of my hands that night.”

He lowered his head and she tilted her head back, slightly
bending backwards.
Finally
, she
thought as she felt his lips move over her breasts bone the he trailed them up
and down the valley of her breasts. She gasped her entire body tightened when
his tongue came out to play. Teasingly he licked her once, twice then dragged
his lips lightly over her skin before his tongue peeked out again. Once his
lips were in line with her nipples he stopped. She struggled to pull air in her
lungs and with each deep breath she took, her breasts were pushed further over
Ruiz’s shadowed cheeks. The pricks from his light fuzz only made her pussy weep
harder because just the sides of her nipples got the erotic scratch. She
tightened her thighs even more, squeezing her pulsing core hoping for some
relief.

Ruiz turned his head, placing his cheek over her breast.
Then he pushed against it moving his head around and rubbing the sensitive
nipple with his rough cheek. Melody cried out, hands shooting up to burry in
his hair and holding his head there, guiding its movements to give her more
pleasure—pain. A few more seconds of this and she was going to come!

“You like that,” he said gruffly, his hot breath caressing
her other nipple.

She nodded biting on her lower lip. She dug her hands deeper
in his hair, trying to make him move faster and harder against her. She
whimpered when he turned his head away only to gasp when he took her other
nipple in his mouth. He rolled the sensitive bud over his teeth as he drew
circles over the tip with his tongue. She held onto his head tighter, silently
begging for more but he wouldn’t do more than that. His hands circled her
wrists, pulling her own out of his hair before he sucked on her nipple hard
tugging at it with his teeth as he pulled away. Then when the pain was close to
overshadowing the pleasure he let go of it with a wet pop.

He then placed her hands on his shoulders and kissed down
her belly as he lowered to his knees. He French kissed her navel as he unzipped
her skirt, and she watched it pool around her ankles and met his eyes when he
looked up at her again. He caught her gaze and held it as his hands slowly
trailed up her ankles to her knees, drawing little light circles at the back of
them before they continued up her thighs to her hips. The entire time she
fought not to close her eyes, to break their connection. He slid his fingers
between the band of her underwear and her skin then slowly pulled them down to
her ankles. She groaned at the torture of his hands as they took their

journey up to her hips again. The fire
he set would consume her before he even made love to her! He grabbed her hips
tight to hold her steady as he kissed her navel again. Not soon enough, he
kissed down to her pubic bone. Her heart beat a little faster when she realized
what he was up to. He stopped right over her curls, pressing his nose against
them and taking a long whiff.

“I love the scent of your arousal. It’s an aphrodisiac to
me.”

He freed one hand and Melody watched as it disappeared
between her thighs. He stroked the sensitive inner skin once, twice and she
struggled to not clamp her thighs and trap his hand there. Then finally she
felt him at her curls. She gasped digging her nails into his shoulders when he
stroked her clit once then slipped two fingers inside her. Unable to stop
herself, Melody rolled her hips to push his fingers further inside her when he
moved the hand still on her hip to cradle her ass. She cried out when he pushed
her forwards and buried his mouth between her lower lips. He kissed and suckled
her clit as his curved fingers inside her pushed in her to rub against her
G-spot. She squeezed her eyes shut her mouth hanging open like a panting bitch
in heat as she pushed into his mouth wanting more and rocked her hips to
increase the friction his fingers created inside her. He released her ass,
grabbed her knee and threw her leg over his shoulder before he replaced his
hand on her as, all without his mouth or fingers losing rhythm. The new
position opened her up wider to him. He added a third finger fitting inside her
snug and her lower lips parted that he now had his lips wrapped around her
swollen bud. He lapped at it, sucking and kissing and leaving it just long
enough to wipe her juices running down his hand with his tongue before claiming
her again.

She rode his hand and his mouth harder when her belly
coiled. She was close, so close. “Ruiz!”

“Let go, love. I want to drink more of your honey.”

His hot breath on her was the last straw and she came hard,
bucking and screaming until the one leg she had under her gave way. He caught
her lowering her to the ground. She watched behind haze filled eyes as he
stripped her hanging clothes off her then rid himself of his own clothes before
he joined her on the comforter, dragging the blanket over them. Leaning on his
elbow, his head in his hand he watched her as she slowly gained her breath, a
proud look on his face.

“Aren’t you pleased with yourself,” she said once she was
finally able to put the words together without panting for breath.

He popped a white chocolate covered strawberry into his
mouth and smiled as he chewed. “More than you’ll ever know.”

He picked another strawberry from the bowl, this one coated
in dark chocolate. He raised it to his mouth and was about to pop it into his
mouth when she caught his wrist. She pulled it down until the fruit touched her
lips. With her eyes staring into his, she parted her lips and with the tip of
her tongue she licked tight round the fruit, caressing his fingers as well. His
eyes flared with desire, but he didn’t move, not even an inch. She smiled. She
loved how she could do that to him—turn him so hot that the only way he could
calm down was if he took them both to paradise. She parted her lips wider, then
slowly pushing his hand lower, she took the fruit and his fingers into her
mouth. She rolled it on her tongue, sucked on it until all the chocolate was
gone, the entire time watching the blaze in his eyes build. She suckled on his
fingers, cleaning them before she pulled them out of her mouth and began
chewing the strawberry.

“Delicious,” she said with a causal smile that matched her
tone.

His brow shot up. “I’m sure it was,” he responded hoarsely.

Melody chuckled at his restraint as she rolled to her belly.
“So what else did you have planned for tonight?”

He moved closer to her until she felt him big hot and
pulsing against her thigh. He kissed her shoulder as he caressed her bare back.
“Oh don’t worry. I’ll keep you very entertained.”

She looked over her shoulder and watched as his kissed
trailed to the mid of her shoulder blades. He brushed her hair aside to reach
the back of her neck.

“I’m sure of it.” Melody purred dropping her head to the
pillow to give him more room.

“Mel, do you think…do you think I’d be stupid to start
dreaming again.”

He sounded like an unsure frightened little boy. Ruiz was a
strong man, imposing and scary when called for, but there were moments, she
believed only exposed to her that he resembled a damaged little boy cowering in
the corner so afraid to get hurt that he never moves from that spot. Being
emotional, with and in front of someone else was unchartered waters for him and
she blamed his mother for it.

She sat up clutching the blanket to her chest and he
followed. “Ruiz, there is nothing wrong with dreaming. It’s what kept me sane
until we found each other again.”

He cupped her cheek and she leaned into it, turning her head
to kiss his wrist. When she faced him again, his eyes spoke what his lips
wouldn’t say.

She moved onto
his lap, sited facing him. She took his face into her hands. “I’m scared too,
of hoping, of planning, of dreaming of a future that may never be. We’ve hoped,
planned and dreamed before and just a month later our world fell apart.”
