About the author
Stefania Mattana writes crime novels and detective stories because she is a snooper. She always has been, ever since she was a kid.
Her stories and essays have appeared in numerous publications, websites and anthologies. Her first self-published short story collection Cutting Right To The Chase, featuring the former Met Police Detective Chase Williams, was released in June 2013 to great acclaim. She also blogs for Huffington Post UK, her own blog Daily Pinner and other webzines.

Writing a book is not a solo action as it might think. Lots of people have been (and currently are) beside me. They deserve to be mentioned for all their support and energy.
First, my partner Franz. If it was not for him, all Chase’s crime stories would have stayed inside my head, catching dust. Maybe they could have turned me into a serial killer, we will never know.
Secondly, my parents, Giannetto and Patrizia. They taught me to my dreams and never give up . When I was a kid I’ve always seen them reading. That’s the root of my love for books and writing.
