“You need a bandage for that.” She turned back to the house. “I’ll just—”

Gabe put a hand on her shoulder, halting her progress. “Don’t worry yourself, Madi. It’s just a scratch.”

If that was a scratch, then God knows what he thought was serious. She supposed it came from working the land, that sense of bravado that all cowboys seemed to have. She’d seen it a hundred times before, at the local fairs and rodeos that she and her father had attended when he was the mayor of Buffalo Springs. When they’d been bucked off a horse, or savaged by a bull, they just seemed to pick themselves up and dust themselves down as if nothing had happened. At the time she’d dismissed them as being too dumb to notice, or too far down the evolutionary scale to care. Growing up, her opinion of cowboys was that they were one step above Neanderthals.

Now she felt different. Perhaps, her mother’s revelations about her humble ancestry had gone some way to change the way she thought. Carson had had a part to play, too. She’d seen corruption at the highest level. Wealthy people were not always the obvious leaders. They were naturally inclined to put profit and the pursuit of wealth before doing the
right
thing.

She slipped inside the plush interior, making herself comfortable. It would be a six-hour drive to Lubbock. Gabe sat in the driver’s seat next to her. His heady aftershave assaulting her senses in the enclosed space.
My, he smells good.
He was so close, too, his broad shoulders and long legs truly irresistible. She could no more drag her gaze away than stop breathing. After putting her bags in the trunk, Tyler sat in the back. She guessed he and Gabe would share the driving, so she’d get the chance to sit next to him, too. Madison flipped the sun visor down and adjusted her hair and makeup in the mirror. “Want to look my best.”

Gabe swung the SUV out onto the road, and headed toward the interstate. “Lubbock, here we come, honey.”

“I’ve booked us two rooms at the Embassy Suites,” she told them. “They didn’t come cheap, but you boys have done such a good job repairing my roof. You wouldn’t take any payment, so I’ve decided to treat you, treat us all.”

“Tell me they’re next to each other, honey,” Tyler sounded hopeful.

She could see his beautiful smile in the sun visor mirror. Maybe she’d tease them some more. “They’re on separate floors, sorry.”

“Aw, Madi. Why?” Tyler’s smile disappeared as quickly as it came.

Madison smiled knowingly. “All right, I’m just teasing. If you must know, they’re right next to each other.” She could feel her heart beating rapidly in her chest. Christ, these cowboys turned her on.

“Now that’s more like it,” Gabe said as he drove the SUV through a green light.

“It also has an interconnecting door,” she whispered nonchalantly, staring out the passenger window, a mischievous smile to her face.

“Even better,” Tyler agreed from the backseat.

“The real tease is—I’m the only one who has a key. So the decision will be mine if I let you through or not.” A deep-seated ache speared her pussy. There was no way she’d give in too easily. They had to understand it was her decision, and hers alone. One that she wouldn’t take lightly. There was a lot at stake, including her reputation if word were ever to get out.

Gabe lifted her hand from her lap and pressed it to his lips, sending a thrill of anticipation through her. “We’re just glad you’ve invited us along. Whatever happens will be fine with us.” He looked in his rearview mirror. “Isn’t that right, Ty?”

Tyler leaned forward in his seat. He brushed a hand through her hair, making her feel relaxed. “You bet, Madi. We’ll all have a great time, either way.”

Chapter Thirteen

“I’m just gonna rest for awhile and then smarten up. Let’s meet in the atrium for dinner. Shall we say an hour’s time?”

“An hour’s just perfect, Madi.” Tyler placed her luggage on the extra-large king-size bed. “This looks nice and comfy, baby.” He turned to his brother. “Like the lady said, let’s get a little shut-eye. It’s been a long drive.”

They walked the few steps down the corridor to their suite. Gabe whistled long and low as he pushed open the impressive door and entered.

“There’s no doubt Madi likes nice things,” Tyler observed as he followed Gabe inside. The two-roomed luxury suite consisted of a large living room complete with two sofas and matching armchairs, upholstered in expensive cream brocade. A selection of mahogany tables lay scattered about. The bedroom boasted two large queen-sized beds, decorated in some kind of fancy brown satin that was not really suited to their masculine tastes. Each room was equipped with a large flat screen TV. “All the comforts of home, Gabe. This must have cost mega bucks.”

Gabe dropped his bag on the floor and immediately lay on the bed nearest the window. “Yeah, all the comforts of home, with one added bonus.”

Tyler chuckled. “Hmm, I guess you mean, Madi.” He pulled the heavy, luxurious curtains back and stared openmouthed at the large ornamental pool, gracing the front of the hotel. This was pure luxury. Something he was not familiar with, but he was gonna enjoy it all the same. Knowing Madi was so close was already causing a large swelling in his jeans. If he didn’t get satisfaction soon, he’d have to go and jerk off in the opulent, expensively tiled bathroom. Something he didn’t want to do while his brother was lying on the bed. Although, it might prove to be the only way he’d be able to concentrate. With a full sac, all he could think of was him and Gabe fucking Madi senseless in the adjoining suite.

Gabe stretched his arms above his head and yawned. “It’s been a long day, what with that flat tire, and checking to see if Mr. Cigarette Butt was gonna show. Pity the guy never turned up. I’d have enjoyed explaining the situation to him with my fists.”

“Maybe we spooked him the day before.”

“It’s possible. There’s no need to tell Madi. It’ll only worry her. The guy could just be some sad harmless sicko who likes spying on the ladies. We’ll probably never know now.”

Tyler went and lay on his bed. “Gabe, we have to remember that she was married to that prick Carson Delaware, a powerful man. The newspapers are always gonna be interested in a woman like Madi.”

Gabe sighed. “You’re right, of course.”

“She’s really got to you, hasn’t she, Gabe?” Tyler could tell by the way his brother spoke about Madi that he had strong feelings, way beyond that of just sex.

Gabe let out a long, slow breath, and rubbed a hand over his face. “Some people are deep. Madi’s one of those women who on the surface appears insensitive to others and self-indulgent, but look below the surface and you’ll find a beautiful, sensual woman, who’s incredibly vulnerable. Vulnerability in a woman, I like that, I find it sexy. At the moment, she’s on a voyage of self-discovery. That’s what this trip is all about. After her mother’s confession, she wants to find out who Madi Allen really is.”

“And you’re hoping she’s happy to discover she’s just a regular woman. Not some saccharin prom queen princess, who thinks she’s better than anyone else.”

Gabe chuckled, his fingers meshed together behind his head, as he stared at the ceiling. “Something like that. It’s a crazy fucking world, isn’t it?”

“Why, Gabe Hayes, I do believe you’re falling in love with her.”

“I’m not the only one, am I, Ty?”

Tyler wondered how an opinionated slip of a woman could cause such emotional upheaval in them both. What had started out as a simple no-strings relationship was quickly developing into something more. He could feel it, too. That sensual feminine power that she had over them both. He looked at the connecting door, visualizing the stunning woman on the other side. Like a siren, she called to them. His cock instantly throbbed with sexual need.

“Fuck, Gabe, I don’t think I’m gonna get any sleep tonight, knowing she’s right next door.”

The next morning, 8:00 a.m.

“Wakey, wakey. Rise and shine, boys.”

Gabe rolled onto his stomach, trapping his erection beneath him. He pulled the pillow over his head. Madi was even taunting him in his dreams. The little cockteaser. Last night they’d all had a lovely meal together. Then she’d excused herself, blaming a headache on her early departure. Tyler and he had felt sure that she’d done it on purpose. Maybe the prospect of the two of them fucking her together
had
given her a migraine, or perhaps she was just prick-teasing them both.

“Tut, tut. I thought you ranchers were up at the crack of dawn.”

Gabe lifted his head and squinted across the dimly lit bedroom. Madi was standing in the connecting doorway, wearing a sexy little robe, and not much else. Had she finally come to them, to put an end to their misery?

“Baby, come over here. I’ve got something for you,” he murmured dreamily.

Ty had a wry smile on his lips. Gabe guessed he thought he was in for a treat, too.

“Sorry, Gabe. I haven’t got time for a steamy sex session. I’ve an appointment at ten with Stephen Johnson. You know the guy. The one I told you about. He’s the genealogist I contacted on the Internet.” She placed a scrap of paper on Tyler’s bedside table. “I’ll meet you both here at two. We can have lunch together. The girl on reception says this place serves the best rib eye in town. We’ll have plenty of time for some shopping therapy afterwards.”

Still half asleep, Gabe groaned and rolled onto his side. “Madi baby, you’re killing me. Come over here, it would be such a shame to waste this.” He began pulling the duvet off himself.

Madi had a huge smile on her face. She licked her lips as she stared at his massive erection. “My, my, that looks really angry, Gabe. You need something soothing for that, darlin’.”

“Your cute little pussy is the only thing that’s gonna help.” Gabe ran a hand up his shaft. For a moment he thought she might come to him. There was just a hint of hesitation as she wavered at the door.

“Sorry, boys, I’ve gotta get ready. You’ll have to hurry yourselves if you want breakfast.” She then blew them both a kiss, and closed the door. The resounding click as it was locked, putting the final damper on any notion of having Madi in their beds.

Tyler lay on his back, an obvious tent lifting his duvet at the center. “Fucking hell, Gabe. That woman is one huge pricktease.” He groaned and sat upright, placing a hand on the bulging duvet. “She is so gonna get this, and soon.”

Gabe stared down at his own huge stiffy. He smoothed a hand over the swelling, too, trying to alleviate the sexual frustration he felt. He wanted to kick open the connecting door and grind himself into her until she mewed with pleasure. Only, he’d do it so fucking slowly, she wouldn’t be able to stop coming.

“Don’t worry, we’ll get our revenge on her soon. It’s just a matter of time before she gives in. Then we can give her exactly what she deserves.” Gabe’s mood lightened as he thought of all the wicked things he would do to her body. He’d have her panting for release in no time.

“Sounds like a good idea, Gabe, but how the hell are we gonna make it through the day with a full sac?”

“We’re not.” Gabe jumped from the bed, his hard-on swinging from side to side in front of him. “The bathroom is mine for the next twenty minutes, because I intend to spank the monkey right now. That way I’ll have a clear head for the rest of the day.”

Madison smiled as Gabe and Tyler strolled into the restaurant. She lifted her hand gaining their attention. The eyes of the female diners followed the progress of the two sexy cowboys as they made their way to her table. All the women looked envious as they eased their tall, athletic frames into the booth, and who could blame them? Tyler sat opposite, and Gabe sat beside her.

“How did your morning go, boys?”

Gabe’s mouth spread into a sensual grin. “With a bang.”

Tyler burst out laughing, sharing the joke.

“Is there something I don’t know? What are you boys laughing at?”
