I needed more of him. I needed him inside of me.
“I want you inside of my mouth.” My voice was raspy.
I lowered to my stomach and I heard the springs popping in the bed as he shifted. “Open your mouth,” he commanded.
Without any hesitation, I opened wide, pleased when he slipped his erection between my lips. The salty taste of him was an aphrodisiac. I ran my tongue around his head, hearing the deep moans rumbling from him. I sucked harder, faster, using one hand to pump him at the same time. Moving lower, I grasped his tight balls, rolling them in my palm, testing if he liked me doing this. His pants became heavier…he definitely liked my touch.
“Yessss!” The word ripped from his chest. His fingers entwined in my hair, pulling and tugging, his hips moving in rhythm. I took him as far as I could, deep in the back of my throat. “Stop or I’ll come in your mouth. And I want your pussy.”
I slipped my mouth from him and laid back. “Yes, Blaze.”
“On your stomach again. I’m taking you from behind.”
I questioned what he meant by ‘behind’. Yet I didn’t hesitate. This was unnerving, but erotic as hell. I didn’t want it to stop, and yet I wanted release.
His fingers were between my legs again, sliding between my lips, priming me for his taking. I lifted my hips wide, opening them, giving him ample space. “Now Blaze! Now!” I practically screamed.
I heard paper tearing, followed by the snapping of rubber. His condom was in place.
“Are you ready, baby?” He clutched my ass in his palms.
“More than you’ll ever know.”
In one swift move, he sunk himself inside of me, stretching my body. His fingers were on the T-shirt, untying it and dragging it off my eyes. I looked over my shoulder, watching his profile. His eyes were closed. His face wrinkled and his mouth slightly open as if he moved toward a bittersweet abyss. It was the sexiest expression ever. The tingles grew heavier in my body.
He leaned over me, pressing my body against the bed, but not losing the connection between our bodies. His weight grew heavier, but the feeling of him caging me was erotic. He continued to move inside of me, stretching and filling, rotating his hips in a signature move that had my head reeling.
Wow…I didn’t know he could reach all of those parts inside of me.
My body screamed for release, like a rubber band pulled tight and ready to snap. I craved freedom from the built up need.
“Never forget this, baby. Never forget what we’re like together. I want to leave my memory embedded in you…in your heart and mind.”
I would never forget this…or him. It wouldn’t be possible. A million years could pass and I’d still have his brand scorched in me.
That scared me. Yet it exhilarated me.
He increased the rhythm as his muscles stiffened. My insides started to quake.
“Let’s do this together,” he moaned.
He slid his hand between my stomach and the bed, finding my clit. With the pressure of his erection inside of me and the force of his hand on the other side, I quickly lost myself in the feeling. Tingles burst between my legs, releasing a fire like none other. My walls tensed and I cried out. In the next instant, he collapsed on me, his breathing heavy against my shoulder. We lay there for the longest time, neither of us moving. I had as much strength as a wet noodle and I was more than happy to stay still.
He shifted off me and I continued to stay motionless, glad when he joined me again, snuggling up next to me. No words were needed. We were cuddling, all seemed right.
I’d never have believed that big, bad Blaze was a cuddler.

Blaze listened to the gentle breathing, feeling Rena’s chest rise and fall.
When it came to her, he had no control. And he didn’t give a shit!
Could he convince her to stay with him?
She didn’t want this life. She didn’t want a man who wore leather and rode a Harley.
His chest hitched. He wanted her so badly, he could taste the desire. Yet, temporarily wouldn’t do
She judged him by everything Diesel did years ago Shit! He was nothing like Diesel. She had to know that, and he believed she did. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have given herself so freely to him.
Tomorrow they would visit Belleview Park and see who this Abigail Brewer happened to be. Blaze wasn’t a fearful man, but a part of him grew terrified now. Not for himself, but for Rena. He didn’t doubt for a minute that Diesel had conned someone, or a deal went sour and that’s how he had so much cash on him. Blaze didn’t trust anyone at this point. He had to protect Rena and that made everyone an enemy.
He swiped his palm down his face.
If it wasn’t Digger who put the bullet in Diesel’s head, who did? And who else would have something to gain from it?
Money. Green could turn anyone into a greedy son of a bitch.
And a snake lurked in the mist. Blaze could feel it coming.
He wanted to convince Rena to stay here and let him go alone to investigate the address, but that wouldn’t work. She couldn’t be here without him, and he sure as hell wouldn’t let her out of his sight. He could ask one of the members to go with them, but that wouldn’t work either. For the first time in his life, he didn’t trust even his own brothers.
That made him sick.
They’d sworn to watch each other’s back through hell and high water.
But look what happened to Diesel. He’d changed. He’d been willing to give up his brothers for his materialistic need.
Blaze couldn’t understand why Diesel needed money. Over the years while they were partners at the shop, they’d made a good living. In fact, Blaze, too, had a good savings built up. Enough that he didn’t have to worry about money. Part of the cash Diesel had in the box could have been from the shop, but what about the rest of the green? Blaze realized long ago Diesel had gotten himself involved in illegal shit. Peterson had the proof and was attempting to use it against all of the Wings’ members.
Blaze felt sorry for Diesel…almost. The man had chosen his path. He put everyone in danger, even dragging Rena into this bullshit.
Rena mumbled and shifted, but Blaze didn’t remove his arm draped over her waist. He wanted to keep her close. He’d thought about this a hundred times over the last three years, and he didn’t want it to end too quickly. He wasn’t sure what would happen after tomorrow. Would she even consider being with him in a committed relationship?
What would she expect of him?
He inhaled the scent of her hair. She smelled good. Like cherry cobbler. She felt even better. Paradise lying in his arms. This was the closest one could get to heaven on earth.
No other woman could come close to making him feel as satisfied as Rena. Blaze’s dad told him once that a man knew when he’d met his soul mate—he didn’t know where he ended and his woman began. Rena mingled with him. He couldn’t see an end, only a beginning.
He smiled. His father’s words were true. Other women were a means to an end. Rena seeped into his blood, had become his lifeline. She was a poison in his body that would kill him if he walked away.
Being vulnerable never suited him. He didn’t like being out of control, but he didn’t mind the hold she had on him.
Pinching the bridge of his nose, he yawned. He needed sleep. The few winks he’d managed in the last few days weren’t enough and his body demanded more. He’d think about his future tomorrow.
Pulling open the drawer on the nightstand, he made sure his gun was handy. One could never be safe enough.
CHAPTER NINE
I checked myself in the mirror. I had a new glow to my skin and I decided not to cover it up with makeup. My eyes were brighter and I swore my heart expanded. I once read, “The path to the fountain of youth is paved with lots of sex.” I couldn’t remember where I’d read the statement, but I could deny the truth.
Thanks to Blaze, I felt new. I felt whole again.
However, there were nagging issues I couldn’t ignore. This, whatever ‘this’ was, couldn’t last. Blaze and I had boundaries, limitations that needed addressed before we went any further—especially before we had sex again.
Blaze belonged to Wings of Steel. The MC was in his blood, and it made him tick. He’d never give up his brotherhood for me, and I wasn’t sure I could let him, even if he wanted to leave. I loved him enough to want his best interest.
What would happen today?
They were on a goose chase to find a strange woman named Abigail Brewer.
I had to do this. In my heart, I believed that Diesel knew something important.
It had cost me something important, too. I’d already lost my job at the school. The idea saddened me but, for now, I couldn’t be in class.
Stepping out of the bathroom, I found Blaze standing by the window looking out. He looked handsome enough to still my heart. He had finger combed his hair and was wearing a black T-shirt, worn jeans, and boots—his usual uniform. But something had changed about him too. “I’m ready,” I said.
He lifted his chin, his expression pensive. I wondered what he’d been thinking. The concern remained in his gaze. “Good. Let’s go. We have a ways to travel.” He grabbed his jacket from the bed.
I followed him down the stairs and into the garage to his Harley. The shop didn’t open until later so they had no one asking questions or wondering where they were going.
“You sure you’re okay with taking the bike,” he asked for the third time that morning.
“Why not?” Yeah, I kept a straight face when confidence eluded me. I’d stopped being a back warmer years ago.
I’d never ridden with Blaze before. The thought held excitement. An unexplainable pride came with riding on the back of a bike.
He started the engine and the pipes roared to life. The sound vibrated through my limbs and my adrenaline spiked.
I felt special as he handed me a helmet and motioned for me to slip into the seat behind him. Sliding close to his backside, I snuggled up against his broad back and wrapped my arms tight around his waist. The smell of his leather tickled my nose.
The advantages of being coupled on a bike were infinite. I’d even heard couples talking about having sex on a bike. I tried picturing the image and all I could manage to see was a position of bare limbs at odd angles. I might need Blaze to school me on positions. I laughed.
We pulled out of the back of the garage and I clung tighter—just because I wanted to.
I wasn’t sure how long we traveled because I had lost myself in the scenery and being close to Blaze, but when he pulled over into the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant, my curiosity tweaked.
“Why are we stopping again?” I asked when he turned off the bike. I dragged off the helmet not caring that I must have hat head.
“Slide off, Rena,” he demanded.
Irritated, I got off and wrapped my arms tight around my waist. Dread filled me. “Why?”
He slid off, unsnapped his helmet and hooked it on the handle bar. “You’re going to stay here while I check out the address.”
I stared. “What?”
“You’re safer here.”
“No way that’s going to happen. I’m going.” I held my gaze with his, tilting my chin.
“This shit isn’t safe, Rena. I gotta watch out for you.”
“I’m safer with you. We’re safer together.”
He shook his head. “You’re staying.” He dug into his front pocket, pulled out a small wad of cash and stuck it out for me to take. “Buy yourself a coffee and wait it out.”
I glanced at the cash. Anger ripped through me. Was he serious? “I’ll tell you where you can stick that cash and it’s not in the register of this burger joint.”
He shoved the money back into his pocket. He kept his gaze connected with mine. “What scares me is you could end up hurt. We have no clue what Diesel was dealing or doing that caused his death. For all we know, we could be walking into an ambush. There are mean people who know you have this money and I bet they’d be willing to do almost anything to get access to it. If something happened to you—” His breath rushed from his lungs.
“Who, Blaze? You suspect someone. Tell me.” I needed to know.
His face hardened. He looked almost dangerous. “Dog.”
“No, really? I just can’t see it. He had always seemed so loyal.”
“Of course you wouldn’t see it, and neither did I for a long time. Although I’ve considered him a friend for a lot of years, he was also just as close to Diesel.”
I could see the strain around Blaze’s eyes. “What will you do?”
“I have Miles and Sharp watching things. Turk too. And nobody knows that I have cameras set up in the shop and now the compound. Let’s see what happens when I’m not there.”
“What made you suspect him?”
“I can’t pinpoint one thing. Call it instinct.”
My heart went out to Blaze. I knew how much he respected Dog. “That means the money isn’t safe at your shop. What if he finds it?”
He shook his head. “I didn’t put it in the safe. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you, but I didn’t think it’d matter.”
