“Where to?”

Frank shakes his head. “For now, you’re going to the safe house in Holmes County. It’s a small town but it’s still in the panhandle, so if we need you for statements or something, you’re close enough by. I’m sending the address to your agency phone. The sheriff there knows you’re coming. He’s the only one though. His name is John Baker, you talk to him and only to him if you need something. If you need to contact him, you tell them that you’re his niece.”

I nod and finish my cigarette. “Can you go to the hotel and get Storm for me? He knew something was wrong, but I didn’t want him to follow me. He has no clue, he just thinks I’m fucking kinky.”

They both shake their heads. “No. I’m sure his friends will be along soon enough. Hell, he’s strong enough to break the damn cuffs off of a hotel bed,” Mitch says, chuckling.

I sigh, “Yeah, but he won’t. He wouldn’t tear up something like that.”

Frank puts his hand on my arm. “Kid, I know it’s tough, but you have a job to do. Now get the hell out of this town. It should only take you about an hour and a half to get to the safe house. No one should recognize your personal car. Now get out of here.”

I nod and slide into my beautiful car and crank it up. It purrs, it really fucking purrs. I pull out of the warehouse and as I’m cruising down the alley, I look in my review mirror to see dark colored SUVs pulling up to the warehouse. Then I hear the gunshots. Automatic weapons are going off at a rapid rate. I’m just about to spin my car around when a text chimes to my agency phone.

MITCH LAYTON: Don’t you dare turn the car around. Help is coming for us, back up is almost here. Get the hell out of this town!

Fuck, I have to keep going. Just as I’m pulling out to head for the interstate, a large truck comes from nowhere and slams into my car.

I see the guys who jump out.
Fuck, they’re going to kill me.
I lay my head against the steering wheel like I’m knocked out. Maybe they’ll think I am. I also grab my gun that’s at my feet.

“Come on, man, she’s probably dead. See the blood all over her face?”

“No, man, Mike said to bring her back dead or alive.”

Fuck, I’m going to have to shoot them or they’re going to have to kill me.

itting in the conference room back in our own gym, I shake my head when Marco walks in because I know what’s coming.

“Boys, sit down.” We all take a seat and he looks around. “Boys, where do you see yourself in five years?” He points to Sly. “If you say something asinine, I’m going to beat your ass right here and now. I hope you see yourself fighting full-time.”

We all nod our heads and mumble agreements.

He nods along with us and then slams his fist down on the table. “Well, all right then. Quit fucking around when we go out of town. Stay out of damn tittie bars. Don’t put yourself in situations where you could be humiliated or hurt. Definitely don’t put yourself in situations where you could embarrass me, my gym or your mother. Understand?”

“Yes, sir,” we all mumble.

“I know you guys are young, dumb and full of cum, but use that big ass lump on top of your shoulders to think with every once in a while. Do you guys know how bad it would have been if the hotel staff found Lox instead of us? Now I’m serious, get your heads out of your asses and get to work.” With that being said, he shoves his chair back and storms out of the room.

Huck looks at me. “So did you cuss the stripper out?”

I shake my head. “Couldn’t get ahold of her. Her phone is disconnected, they said she no longer works at the club. I intended to give her an ear full but the way she was acting, I’m not sure how I feel about it. Something was off. She got paranoid all of a sudden after a text and ran out like the damn building was going to blow up.”

Huck and Sly both nod their heads. “Huh.”

Huck twists his lips. “So I guess we just need to hit localish pussy now.”

I shrug. “Fuck, I guess.”

Sly looks at me. “So really, how hot was the sex while you were handcuffed?”

That dick. Hell, even though she left me stranded, I hope she’s okay.

I know people hate cliff hangers. This was originally published in the MOUTH Anthology as a short story prequel to the Marco’s Series.
