The fire in my blood was back, flaring hotter than before. I couldn’t wait. Getting to my knees, I tore at the zipper of my jeans as I unfastened them and pushed them down just far enough to free my cock. Hooking her knees over my forearms, I pressed my hips forward, rubbing the length of my cock against her pussy. She was so wet from my mouth and three orgasms that I slid balls deep with one thrust.

“Calder!”

Her muscles twitched around me, tightening and rippling as her body tried to adjust to my cock. I gritted my teeth and growled at the sensation. Fuck, she was so tight I was going to come before I even got started.

Her eyes met mine, heavy-lidded and hot, as I held myself perfectly still. I wanted this to last hours if it could. I wanted to consume her every thought as she consumed mine.

Slowly her pussy relaxed around me and Ricki rotated her hips. “More, Calder. Please.”

That was all I could take. I would make it last for hours next time, because the sound of her voice asking me for more destroyed my willpower.

I began to move inside her, setting a punishing, fast rhythm. I slid my hands beneath her hips, tilting them up so I could grind against her clit with each down stroke. My balls tightened as I pounded into her body. I couldn’t stop because I could feel her muscles twitching and contracting around me as her own orgasm began to build. I wanted her to come with me, so hard that she screamed.

Knowing it would push her over the edge, I lowered my head and sucked her nipple, tugging it with my teeth. I knew the bite of pain would send her crashing into release.

Ricki’s body went rigid, her pussy locking tight around my dick, then she did exactly what I wanted. She came, screaming. My hips jerked against hers as my own orgasm hit me, a howl ripping through my chest and throat.

I braced my weight on my arms so I didn’t crush her and gulped in air.

I was still trying to catch my breath when Ricki asked, “Can I touch you now?”

Just like that, all the insane desire that overwhelmed me receded and left only tenderness behind. “Hell yeah, darlin’. Touch me wherever you want.”

I scooped her body against mine as I rolled over so that she lay on top of me. My cock was still hard and Ricki gasped as I slid deeper inside her. She straightened so that she sat astride my hips and stared down at me.

Her fingers trailed across my collar bones to my shoulders, then down to my chest. When they brushed my nipples, I growled softly. Now that my painful craving for her had been satisfied, I relished the touch of her hands and I was in control.

Ricki studied my face as she dragged her nails over my pectorals and down to my sides. “Do you like that?” she asked.

“I like anything you do to me,” I answered baldly.

I hissed when her pussy squeezed my cock. When she smirked, I knew she’d done it on purpose.

“Why are you still hard?” Her face paled and her body went tight. “You did come, right? I didn’t just imagine that.”

What the fuck was she going on about? “Uh, hell yeah, I came. In fact, I think my head exploded at the time.”

She relaxed slightly. “Then why are you still hard?”

I grinned up at her. “I told you, darlin’, I’m in my prime and I’m not human. I can go all night. Literally.”

Her eyes narrowed. “You’ll forgive me if I find that hard to believe.”

She giggled when I smacked her ass and I smiled. This was what I wanted from her. Not just the sex, but to see the woman I’d been with the first night. The one who teased and laughed openly, who didn’t seem shy about her nudity.

“Should I prove it to you?” I asked.

Ricki’s grin widened. “You’re going to have to because there’s no way I’ll believe it otherwise.”

She squealed and wrapped her arms around my neck when I staggered to my feet, lifting her with me. “What are you doing?”

“I’m gonna prove to you that I can go all night,” I answered, hefting her body up so that her legs could wrap around my waist. “But first I’m gonna take you upstairs because that floor is uncomfortable as fuck.” I walked out of the kitchen and up the stairs, still carrying her.

She giggled again and it was all I could do not to shove her back against the wall and fuck her right there in the hall. “Tell me about it. I think I have a bruised tailbone.”

I frowned. “Damn, why didn’t you say anything?”

Ricki pinched my ass. “Because I was too busy having mind-melting orgasms. Duh. Plus, I didn’t notice it until you rolled us over.”

I bypassed the bed in her room and went straight into the bathroom.

“What are we doing now?” she asked.

“We’re gonna take a hot shower, then I’ll fuck you all night.”

“Awww, just the romantic words every girl wants to hear. You should write for Hallmark.”

Eight hours later,
we’d both lost count of our orgasms, and Ricki lay sprawled on her stomach next to me in the bed. “Uncle,” she muttered.

I was stroking her hip, staring at the love bite I’d left on her shoulder. “Huh?”

“Stop touching me. No man should be able to have sex all night without his dick falling off. There’s no way I’ll be able to walk tomorrow, and if you think you’re gonna do it one more time, you’re sadly mistaken,” she snapped.

I smirked. “Actually, you won’t be able to walk today. It’s almost five a.m.”

She groaned. “Really?”

“Yep.” I nuzzled her neck and put my mouth against her ear. “Are you sure you don’t want to go one more round?” I laughed when her head whipped around and she stared at me in horrified silence. “So that’s a no?”

My answer was her cramming a pillow into my face.

Chapter Ten

Ricki

I
was right
when I told him I wouldn’t be able to walk the next morning. In fact, the act of turning over in bed was what woke me.

I groaned, holding my body as still as possible. I hadn’t felt like this since the first time I tried Crossfit. A hand massaged my ass and I flinched as fresh waves of pain assaulted me.

“You okay?” Calder asked, his voice nothing but a low rumble in my ear.

“No, and it’s your fault.”

“Sore?”

I wanted to pinch him for the smirk I heard in his voice but I didn’t want to move because moving hurt. “You’re an asshole.”

He chuckled and I felt the bed move as he threw back the covers and climbed out. “Be right back.”

Since I was facing the entrance to the bathroom, I got to watch him walk, buck naked, into the adjoining room. I whistled at him and heard his laugh drift into the bedroom. Even though I ached all over, there was definitely an upside to this whole situation.

I could hear the quiet rush of water flowing then the slamming of cabinet doors. A few minutes later, Calder returned with a glass of water in one hand and pills in another, still nude, and the front view was even more impressive than the rear.

“Take these,” he instructed, handing me the orange pills and the glass.

Both my eyebrows lifted. “Excuse me? What exactly are you giving me?”

He rolled his eyes. “Ibuprofen. Take it or don’t. I just thought it would help with the muscle aches.”

Despite his bossy attitude, I appreciated his concern. “Oh, thanks.”

After I tossed back the pills and drained most of the glass, he took it from me and set it on the side table. Then he bent and lifted me out of the bed.

“Ow, ow, ow!” I smacked his shoulder. “Warn me before you do that, dammit.” I moaned as he shifted my weight. “Jesus, what did you do to me last night? I feel like I went ten rounds in an MMA cage fight.”

He smirked at me. “I warned you.”

“Screw you,” I grumbled.

“Considering how whiny you are after one night, I think we should take a break from that, don’t you?”

I pinched his nipple and he yelped, but he didn’t drop me. With a sigh, I rested my head on his chest as he carried me into the bathroom. I realized the sound of running water was the tub filling and smiled. A hot bath sounded like Heaven.

He bent and lowered me into the bath. I hissed at the temperature at first, but slowly relaxed back. It didn’t take long for the huge claw foot tub to fill with water and I was submerged to my chin. Calder even rolled up a hand towel and placed it behind my neck.

“Oh my God, this is wonderful,” I sighed, closing my eyes as the heat began to soothe my achy muscles.

Calder stroked my hair back and dropped a kiss on my forehead. “I’ll be back in a few minutes.”

“Ok. Thanks.”

I didn’t hear a thing as he left the room, keeping my eyes closed and drifting. I don’t know how long he was gone, but the scent of coffee let me know he returned. Slowly, I lifted my eyelids to find Calder leaning against the counter, dressed in nothing but a pair of sweatpants, drinking from a mug while another cup sat steaming next to his hip.

“Coffee,” I breathed.

He grinned at me. “Are you done with your bath?”

I grimaced. As quickly as I could, I washed my hair and body as the water drained out of the tub, then I turned on the shower above me to rinse off. The soak definitely relieved most of my soreness, but I still wasn’t exactly spry.

A few minutes later, Calder handed me a towel so I could dry off, then wrapped me in an incredibly soft robe that had to belong to him because the sleeves were about three inches too long. I ignored the floppy fabric and grabbed the cup of coffee from the counter, taking a huge sip. It was still very warm, so I took another.

I turned to Calder. “Thank you.”

He just shrugged. “It’s my job to care for you.”

I frowned a little at that. He considered me a job? I wanted to ask him about that but let it go for now. After doing so many nice things for me, I didn’t want to risk an argument. Over the last week, something had changed between us and I liked it. We were almost back to the place we’d been the night I met him. I drank more coffee to hide my confusion and racing thoughts.

“Hungry?” Calder asked.

As soon as he spoke, my stomach rumbled loudly. We’d never gotten around to eating dinner the night before. Hell, we hadn’t even put it away. “Starving, but I’m sure the kitchen is a mess.”

He shook his head. “I did a quick clean up while I was waiting for the coffee to brew. What do you want to eat?”

Considering my stomach had suddenly decided that I needed to eat immediately, I shrugged. “I don’t care as long as it’s quick.”

Calder chuckled. “Why don’t you get dressed and I’ll go downstairs and scramble some eggs?”

“Sounds great.”

I watched him leave the room, the muscles in his back flexing as he walked. While I wanted to relax and just go with the flow, a strange anxiety took root in my chest. Now that things seemed to be on an even keel, I sensed that something imminent was about to upset this tenuous balance. After the last few weeks, I felt it was only a matter of time before the situation went south.

Four days later,
my odd foreboding came to fruition. For those four days, everything was idyllic. We woke up together, cooked and ate together, watched TV, read books, took walks, and had sex. Lots of sex. As far as existences went, it was amazing.

Calder had to leave for a few hours each day to meet Lachlan about pack business and this situation with the Faction. He didn’t share much with me about it, only that there was unrest in the pack. Apparently some of the wolves didn’t understand why the pack needed to be involved. Calder explained to me that werewolves had a separatist attitude. They considered themselves apart from humans and other types of supes.

While they had a pack mentality, it only extended to their own kind, and even then the hierarchy was clear. Only wolves borne of wolves were considered strong enough to hold the pack. The longer the lineage of pure werewolf, the stronger the family was believed to be. People who were turned were considered weaker, as were their offspring. They were also the only ones who could bear children with humans.

That threw me.

“Wait, what?” I asked, incredulously. “You told me you couldn’t get me pregnant.” If I found out he was lying, I was going to neuter his ass with a fucking spoon.

Calder held up his hands. “I can’t. I’m descended from a long line of wolves. We haven’t had a human in the family tree for centuries, turned or otherwise. I would have to have human DNA of some kind in my immediate family or you would have to have a wolf in your lineage in order for me to knock you up.”

I relaxed slightly, then had a thought. “If werewolves consider themselves better than humans, what happens to the pack members who are turned?” I asked. Obviously there was new blood being brought into the group from somewhere.

I could tell he didn’t want to answer me. Calder was usually hard to read, but the tightness of his face was clear this time.

“Calder?”

He rubbed his hands over his face. “Shit, I wanted to have a little more time with you before we had this conversation.”

My stomach clenched at his words, twisting viciously at the thought that he might have been withholding information from me. “Just tell me.”

Calder sighed. “The pack doesn’t accept humans easily, even if they’ve been turned. The turned have to fight harder and longer to get and keep their place in the pack. It’s not an easy path.”
