“You want to talk now?” Gordy asked, and Howard gripped Gordy’s cock hard, stroking fast. “Jesus, I can’t….”

“I know. You’re going to come for me right now,” Howard said and then swirled a finger past Gordy’s balls and over the soft skin of his opening.

“Howie,” Gordy cried and then filled the room with unintelligible sounds as his cock throbbed in Howard’s hand and heat ran between his fingers. Howard continued stroking until Gordy stilled and then he released him. Gordy lightly tugged on his arm and drew him closer until their lips met in a searing kiss that short-circuited Howard’s brain. When Gordy broke the kiss, Howard felt him guide his hand, and then Gordy licked it, sucking and kissing Howard’s fingers. “There’s nothing tastier than the two of us together,” Gordy said and then kissed him again to demonstrate his point.

Howard tasted Gordy on his tongue as they kissed, and then within seconds Gordy rolled them on the bed. Howard now lay on his back with Gordy pressing him into the mattress. Gordy kissed him hard, and Howard held him around the neck, stroking Gordy’s soft hair as they kissed.

Gordy broke the kiss and nuzzled Howard’s neck. He stretched and moaned softly when Gordy found that spot that made him shake. “I like this spot,” Gordy murmured.

“Me too,” Howard said, and Gordy licked and sucked at his skin for a minute and then moved on to his nipple. Howard arched his back and thrust his chest forward, aching for more. His cock throbbed, and Howard thrust his hips, trying desperately for more sensation, but Gordy placed a firm hand on his hip, and Howard stilled.

“Be patient,” Gordy whispered, but Howard found that in short supply at the moment. He tried, but whenever Gordy touched him, excitement zinged up and down his spine. “I’ll take good care of you.” Gordy stroked Howard’s chest and then trailed down his belly. Howard thrust his hips forward again, and Gordy chuckled.

“I wasn’t mean,” Howard whined, and Gordy gripped him tightly, stroking his cock with almost painful slowness.

“You were incredible, and I want to make sure you feel the same way,” Gordy told him, stroking harder. Then he stopped and moved away. “Scoot up on the bed so you’ll be more comfortable.”

The last thing Howard cared about right now was comfort, but he did as Gordy instructed and waited. Gordy slowly stroked up Howard’s inner thighs, making his legs shake. Howard gasped and stilled in anticipation. Spending his life in darkness, anticipation was his constant companion, though most of the time it wasn’t particularly pleasant company. He spent his life inferring and trying to anticipate what was going to happen around him. People suddenly showed up and began talking to him, touched him with no warning, and then there were the unpleasant sounds, like angry yelling and even the blowing of car horns. But this, this was the best kind of anticipation, and Howard really hoped it lasted. Gordy seemed to be the master of the little touches and kisses designed to ramp him up. Gordy stroked up his hips, coming so close to Howard’s cock and balls that he held his breath, only to have Gordy continue upward to stroke his side and belly.

“Gordy,” Howard groaned softly.

“Shhh,” Gordy soothed as he stroked up Howard’s chest and down his belly. Then, without warning, as so many things happened in Howard’s life, Gordy licked up Howard’s straining cock, and he bounced up off the bed. Gordy did it again, and this time Howard moaned softly.

“Yes,” he whispered under his breath and held still in case Gordy stopped. He didn’t.

“You taste amazing,” Gordy whispered and licked up his cock once again. This time Gordy ran his rough cheek along Howard’s skin. Howard gasped when Gordy engulfed him in his wet heat, sucking hard.

The air flew from Howard’s lungs as Gordy sucked him hard and deep, taking all of him. Howard vibrated with mind-blowing pleasure as Gordy bobbed on his dick. Howard tried to remain still, but couldn’t. He thrust his hips forward and expected Gordy to stop him, but instead Gordy worked his hands beneath him, cupping his butt and pushing him upward as his mouth came down on him. Howard gasped and his dick jumped and throbbed as Gordy swallowed around him. “Holy fucking hell,” Howard swore as he tried desperately not to come.

Gordy pulled his lips away and Howard’s cock slapped against his belly. “Don’t hold back.”

“But I don’t want this to be over,” Howard groaned. “It’s way too soon.”

“It won’t be over. This is just the first part.” Gordy licked up his length. “I intend to keep you happy well into the night. By the time I’m through with you, you’ll sleep like a baby, and when we wake up in the morning, we can do it all over again.”

“But we never talked about… stuff,” Howard said, and Gordy licked him once again.

“Have you been tested?” Gordy asked, stilling his movements and allowing Howard to think for a few seconds.

“Yes, I’m negative,” Howard gasped.

“Me too,” Gordy told him, and then Howard sank into Gordy’s mouth once again and he stopped thinking and talking. Gordy sucked him and teased at his opening with one of his fingers. That little bit of extra sensation had Howard instantly balancing on the edge. He gave up trying to control his reaction and let himself tumble, coming hard as Gordy swallowed around him.

Howard gasped when he could move no more. Gordy settled him back on the mattress, and Howard relished the way his mind floated on clouds of joy. Gordy stretched out next to him and held him tight. Howard soaked in the warmth and care. Gordy’s thick arms and strong body exhibited a surprising gentleness.

Token whined softly from next to the bed, and Howard groaned as he sat up. “Take care of Token,” Gordy said softly. “I’ll straighten up the bed and be waiting for you when you come back.” Gordy got up, and Howard heard drawers opening. “Here’s a pair of sweats. Put those on so you don’t make the neighbors jealous.”

Howard chuckled and pulled on the pants. Then he found Token’s harness and put it on him before leading him outside to the yard. He let Token take care of business and then brought him back inside. He gave him a treat and took him to the bedroom. He removed the harness and hung it up.

“He’s curled up in his bed, watching you,” Gordy said as he came up behind Howard. He pressed to Howard’s back and held him tight.

“He’s a good dog,” Howard said. “I never got to have one growing up. My mother was highly allergic, so getting one was out of the question. And once I left home, I was too stupidly stubborn and proud to apply for one.”

“What changed your mind?”

“Hanna did.”

“Ken and Patrick’s little girl?” Gordy asked.

“Yeah. She’s an amazing child. She said some people had brought Seeing Eye dogs to her school, and they’d done a presentation on how they could help the blind. After that she convinced me to get in touch with them.” Gordy snuggled him closer. “Actually, Hanna practically dialed the phone for me. She said I needed someone at home so I wouldn’t be alone. I told her I had Cedric just up the street, and she made a choking noise and pushed the phone into my hand.” Howard chuckled. Everyone else had seen the truth about Cedric long before he had.

“Are you cold?” Gordy asked, and Howard leaned his head back against Gordy’s shoulder as Gordy lightly stroked up and down Howard’s chest and belly. He wasn’t cold at all.

“No,” Howard said, but Gordy guided him toward the bed. “What are you doing?”

“Well, Token has been taken care of and he’s in bed. You’ve closed up the house, so I thought I could take care of you for a while.”

“You aren’t going to carry me?” Howard teased, and Gordy laughed as he lifted Howard off his feet. “I was kidding,” Howard said as Gordy set him on the bed and helped him undress. Then he pressed him back until his head rested on the pillows. Howard continued laughing softly until Gordy got in bed next to him, holding him close. Then the last thing he wanted to do was laugh, and Gordy kissed him, stroking lightly along his back and then cupping his butt.

“I hope we don’t keep Token awake,” Gordy quipped, and the dog answered with a soft doggie snore that sent both of them into fits of laughter. “Somehow I don’t think we have to worry about that.”

Before Howard could laugh, Gordy kissed him, and he quickly forgot about snoring dogs, old boyfriends, or anything other than the way Gordy touched him and the taste of Gordy’s lips. At that moment, the rest of the world didn’t matter; nothing else mattered except that Howard was happy, extremely content, and well on his way down the road to excitement. He hoped things stayed this way, for a little while, at least.

Chapter 4

Sophia called. A car door slammed closed, and Howard released Token’s harness. He squatted down and waited, holding out his arms. Sophia barreled into him, and he nearly fell over before closing his arms around his niece, hugging her tight. “I missed you so much.”

“So did I, sweetheart, so did I,” Howard told her, lightly rocking back and forth.

“Sophia, take it easy. Remember your uncle can’t see,” Lizzy said, and Howard groaned.

“So, Mommy?” Sophia said without letting go. “That means he gives the world’s best hugs.” Howard held her tighter and stood up, carrying her along. “Don’t you, Uncle Howie?”

“Whatever you say, sweetheart,” Howard said, hugging her again. Then he carefully put her back on the ground and took Token’s harness.

“You got a dog,” Sophia said rapturously.

“Honey, that’s Uncle Howard’s Seeing Eye dog. He’s working when Uncle Howard has him in his harness, so you shouldn’t pet him until Uncle Howard says it’s okay. We talked about that in the car.”

“I know,” Sophia said with a sigh.

“Let’s go inside,” Howard said. “Token, find the door,” he said, and Token led him to the front door of the house. “Can you hold the door for me?” Howard asked Sophia, and he went inside. He went through to the kitchen and poured some food into Token’s bowl. He also filled his water dish and set it down. “Okay.”

Token began to eat, and Howard went back into the living room and sat on the sofa, where Sophia joined him.

“Here comes the doggie,” Sophia said a few minutes later. Howard called him, and Token came and sat at his feet. Howard removed his harness and Token bounded through the room.

“There are toys in his box. He loves to play, but be sure to put all the toys away so I don’t step on them.” One of the things Token had been trained to do was put his toys away. Judging by the sound of squeaks and the rush of Token’s feet, Sophia found the toys.

“Can we go into the backyard?” Sophia asked.

“Sure,” Howard said with a chuckle, and the squeaking diminished as she hurried toward the back door.

“Mommy, I’m going outside!” Sophia yelled, and then he heard her open the door and slam it closed.

“She has been a bundle of energy since we left home,” Lizzy said and then sat next to Howard. “When I told her you had a dog and what he did for you, she told me that it was her job while she was here to play with Token, when he wasn’t working, of course.”

Howard heard dog toys squeaking through the open windows. “He needs someone to play with.” Token’s happy bark wafted in on the breeze along with Sophia’s laughter. “I’m so glad you’re here,” Howard added, and Lizzy tugged him into a hug.

“It’s good to see you. You’re looking good, and happier than I’ve seen you in a long time. Is Gordy around?”

“He’ll be over when he’s done working,” Howard said.

“Do you realize you smile when you talk about him? As a kid you never exhibited many outward signs of emotion, but you seem to now. You smile, and the tension that was always present in your face is gone. I know you don’t really understand those kinds of things, but they’re really good.” She hugged him again. “It’s nice to see you happy. Cedric didn’t make you happy. I think he was just someone in your life so you wouldn’t feel alone. Gordy isn’t like that for you, is he?”

“No. He’s someone I’m really developing feelings for,” Howard admitted.

“But you’re scared,” Lizzy said. “Why?”

Howard sighed. “He’s one of the best people I’ve ever met. He helps without helping too much. When Cedric dumped me by the side of the road, Gordy helped me without thinking of himself. He’s a pretty amazing person.”

“But,” she prompted.

“You said it yourself. Living with a blind person can be hard and requires a lot of patience. Sometimes more than I have myself. How can I expect him to have that much all the time?” Howard asked.

“Honey, you’re scared, and I don’t blame you, but maybe you’re looking for things that aren’t there.”

“But what if it doesn’t work out? How would I find someone else?” Howard searched for the words he needed. “What if he’s the one and I blow it?” he whispered.

“You won’t. If he’s the one, he’ll give you chance after chance,” Lizzy said. “If you want my advice, take what you have and be happy with it. I only had Sophia’s father for a few years and then he was gone, but I wouldn’t trade those years with Shane for anything. We knew he wouldn’t live forever, but he gave me Sophia.”

Lizzy’s husband Shane had had a type of muscular dystrophy that allowed him to live a normal life for a number of years, but in the end crippled him and then killed him, all within a year. “Is she okay?”
