Nick dug his hands into her hair. "Fuck, Maggie, that feels so good," he rasped out.

Brian didn't think he'd ever experienced a blow job as good as what he was seeing right now. Fisting his shaft, he stroked, wishing his hand was her mouth. When he was at the brink of coming, Nick steadied Maggie's head and tugged her up for a wet kiss. Their tongues mingled in an erotic dance.

Brain watched Nick's hand move down her body to Maggie's center. She jumped and wiggled, making Nick chuckle. Brian watched him grab a condom from the nightstand, rip open the foil, and roll the latex down his shaft.

In a flash, Nick had Maggie on her back and was kissing her breathless. He continued to stroke her pussy, making her cry his name. Brian thought his ears would bleed if she called the other man's name again.

He watched Nick slide into her body in one painfully slow motion. Brian's dick pulsed in his hand again. Maggie screamed and clawed at Nick's back. Brian lost his breath.
The fuck-head hurt her.

The other man stilled and gazed down at Maggie. "Are you all right?"

"Shit, no one told me it would feel this good," she whimpered.

"It's about to get a whole lot better." Nick gripped her hips and lifted. He moved in a slow pace that Brian didn't think he could've managed. Maggie's moans and whimpers set his insides on fire. His balls burned with the need to come.

Finally, Nick picked up the pace, stroking in and out of a writhing Maggie. She called out his name in an ear-splitting scream that bored into Brian's soul.

Hot cum washed over his hand. "Fuck."

He needed to get out of here before he did something stupid. Brian stood, yanked up his pants and left. The bedroom door slammed behind him.

Maggie wrapped her shaking legs around Nicks hips. With every trust, he went deeper—filling her, stretching her. A prickling need bloomed deep in her belly, just out of reach. She clawed at his back and thrust upward. She was so close and yet so far away. Something like irritation pulled at her.

Is this how sex was? You came hard and fast so many times you lost count, but the ache deep inside never went away? She turned her head in aggravation. Nick was doing everything right and she liked it a lot. She needed more, just a little more. Maggie cried out. Her gaze locked on Brian. His hard cock moved up and down in his large palm.

Pre-cum coated the head. A tortured scream tore from her throat and he erupted. Cum splashed on his hand. The need inside her flew free and her body broke apart.

Nick captured her mouth with his. His hand found her breasts. She went lax under him. He grunted and stiffened. She studied his face as he came. Warmth spread through her. Nick had made sure she was fully satisfied before taking his release. Maggie knew with another man that might not be the case.

Nick collapsed on top of her. His weight pushing her into the mattress comforted her. Sex was a hell of a lot better when you had it with a warm-blooded man than when you had it with a peace of rubber. She would have to rethink Saturday alone time.

Brian stormed out of her apartment so fast he forgot his shirt. Was he disgusted by her slutty ways? Sadness swamped her.

Nick sighed and rolled. She had no choice but to look at his sexy face. "What's going on in that pretty head of yours?" he asked, brushing his lips over hers.

She placed her palm on his cheek and forced herself to smile. "Nothing."

He rolled the condom off, sat up, and tossed it in the trashcan next to her nightstand. Then he grabbed the quilt on the bottom of the bed, unfolded it, and covered them both. He winked and snuggled into her. "So, do you want to talk about what just happened?"

"Not really."

"Okay, you don't have to talk. You just have to listen."

She braced herself. "Okay."

Nick flashed her his sexy dimples. "That was the best sex I have ever had. If I were Brian, I would want to rip my balls off and feed them to me."

Maggie scoffed. "Yeah, right. I'm sure you have hot sex all the time."

"Not like what just happened between us."

She gazed into his deep brown eyes. "From what I hear, you only do threesomes. Why is that?"

Nick ran a callused hand up her arm. "That's not altogether true, but I do prefer three ways."

Why?"

Nick blow out a breath. "I have my reason's, but I could get used to what we just did."

"What are your reasons?" Maggie wanted to know.

"Probably the same reason Brian doesn't do virgin's. It's messy."

She shoved at him. "That's not an answer."

He staggered back a step. "Maybe not." He brushed a kiss over her lips. "I might want to get messy with you."

Her heart ached. She wanted to get messy with Brian and he wanted nothing to do with her. Why did she have to fall in love with a man who didn't want to love her back? Why couldn't she fall for someone like Nick?

"Do you think I made a mistake with Brian."

Nick smoothed her hair from her face. "I don't know."

God, her stomach hurt. "Great. Now what do I do?"

He pressed a kiss on her cheek, his eyes solemn. "I seem to fall for women who I can't have." Nick slipped out of bed and found his jeans. "If you want Brian, talk to him and tell him what you want."

Chapter Seven

Brian sat behind his large oak desk and picked up the nameplate. "It says Tax Attorney, not Miracle Worker," he muttered.

After storming out of Maggie's place this evening, he'd received an urgent call from one of his clients. He'd been hard at work for the past four hours. Thank God he'd had his gym bag in his car with a T-shirt. All he needed today was the parking garage attendants gossiping about him.

He made a note to send flowers to Mrs. Franks. His long-time secretary always made sure he had at least two suits hanging in his office closet. The thought of the pink roses the older woman preferred reminded him of the flush on Maggie's skin when she screamed her pleasure.

Pissed off resentment and unreleased lust swam through his veins. For the last three hours, he'd dealt with a pompous ass client that didn't understand why he had to pay taxes on his dividends.

He should be kicking Nick's ass and taking Maggie—not dealing with this bullshit. He wanted it this way, Brian reminded himself. He was such a pussy.

Closing his eyes, Brian leaned back in the chair. Maggie's intoxicating taste still lingered in his mouth. His dick stirred at the memory of her tiny body tightening with every swipe of his tongue until she finally snapped. Her warm honey flooding his lips filled his senses and awakened sensations he'd long forgotten.

He couldn’t remember the last time a woman melted in his arms. "Fuck." Brian sat forward and dialed the only person who knew all his secrets.

An hour later he knocked on Julie's door. For over three years, Julie had been the only person he truly trusted. She didn't judge him when he begged her to cause him excruciating pain so he could feel again. She'd soothed him when he fell apart and trusted him fully when he needed to dominate her.

In every way that mattered, they were more intimate than most married couples. In a way he felt like he was cheating on her with Maggie.

He swiped his sweaty palms on his slacks and smiled when she opened the door. "Hey there, sexy."

Julie rolled her beautiful hazel eyes. "Come in and make yourself at home."

Brian took in her appearance and frowned. "Did I catch you at a bad time?"

She glanced down at her loose T-shirt and black leggings. "No, why?"

He thought of Julie as the stern Dominatrix or smart businesswoman. Not the slouchy make-up free woman he looked at now. "You're not wearing a bra."

Her eyebrows shot up. "And?"

Heat flooded his face. He hadn't meant to say that aloud. "I don't know how to talk to you when you're dressed like that."

She laughed, hard. "Are you kidding me?" Julie snorted and hiccupped. "This is one of your problems.

"Right now I'm your friend, not Mistress Julie or your tax client. You need to stop looking at people's window dressing and start looking inside them." She spun, strolled into the apartment, and motioned to a chair. "Sit. I'll get you a ginger ale."

Brian scowled at her back. Did he do that? Did he only look skin deep? He followed her into the apartment and gazed around the large space. The rich color of the living and dining room furniture offset the earthy paint on the walls. Homey sensuality, he thought. "You have a nice place."

Julie plopped into the over-stuffed sofa and picked up a basket full of yarn. "I like it."

Brian sat in the chair facing her and cleared his throat. "I guess you're wondering why I called you so late."

She picked up a hank of yarn and started working the needles through it. "I figured you would fill me in when you got here."

Where did he start?
I'm here because I ate out one of your best friends who happened to be a virgin and watched her fuck another man.
He raked his palms through his styled hair. He was the biggest prick on the earth
.

"What are you making?" he asked instead.

Julie gazed at the deep purple yarn. "So, we're going to play the avoidance game." She flipped a strand and worked her fingers, moving the needles in a rhythmic motion. "Okay," she sighed. "It's going to be a throw for Ava and Logan's bed. I'm making it as a wedding gift."

"Oh." The thought of his friend's impending nuptials tied his gut in a knot. "Things are changing around here."

"I guess they are." She shrugged. "Change is good."

He leaned forward, rested his palms on his knees, and watched her fingers move. "Are you sure about that?"

Her gaze collided with his. "Yes. Ava and Logan are made for each other." She set down her project. "You've been out of sorts ever since Ava came to town. Do you not like her?"

Brian wanted to dislike Ava, but he couldn't. To tell the truth, he'd never seen Logan so happy and settled. He swallowed the golf-ball-size lump in his throat. "I like Ava just fine, but since she came to town, everything has turned upside down."

Julie picked up her knitting and started back to work. "What do you mean?"

He stood and moved to the window. "Ever since Ava walked into the club, everything has been different," he said again.

"How?"

Julie's cool tone settled Brian. "Logan stopped playing with Wanda and me," he said. "And now she doesn't come around anymore."

"Is this about Wanda?"

When he played with Wanda, he didn't have time to feel. He didn't have to think about the sexy, little bartender with the ever-changing hair color. Brian could be in the moment and experience sex in a way he hadn't been able to outside the club.

He shook his head. What kind of man couldn't get it up and keep it up in the privacy of his own home? "It's not Wanda, per se. It's what we all did."

"There are plenty of women willing to play with you and another guy."

"I know. It's just not the same."

The scratching of the knitting needles slowed. "Are you mad because you're not getting laid or are you mad because Logan isn't playing with
you
anymore?"

"No, that's not it.” He looked down on the empty street. “Wanda and I played in the club by ourselves all the time when Logan wasn't around."

Brian didn't want to admit that having Logan made the primal parts of him step forward and take over, which satisfied his cravings and did something for Wanda too.

The soft soothing sound of the needles sped up. "Do you want me to tell you what I think?"

God yes
! He spun. "I can't figure out what the hell is going on."

Setting her knitting aside, Julie rose and walked over to him. She gripped his hand, her eyes shown with sympathy and understanding.

"You joined Paradise two months after your wife's accident," she said. "We opened a world to you most people only fantasize about. You found a safe place to move through the grieving process and in the meantime fell into a lifestyle that worked for you." Her finger drilled into his chest. "And let you lock away your heart."

Her words punched him in the soul and stole his breath. "That's not true," he sputtered.

"Yes it is." Julie folded her arms over her chest. "When Logan fell hard for Ava, he left you in the wind."

Brian opened his mouth to speak.

Julie pressed her finger to his lips. "You realized it could happen to you and opened a whole shitload of emotions you'd rather keep buried." She lifted her finger and smiled. "Then you started to notice your feelings for Maggie."

"I didn't have feeling for Maggie until yesterday," he lied.

"That's bullshit and you know it." Julie spun, moved back to the sofa, and sat. "You and Maggie have been dancing around each other for years." She grinned. "I assume you are here because of what happened over at Maggie's earlier this evening."

All the blood drained from his head. "How do you know about what happened?"

"Nick called and filled me in. He said Maggie might need a friend right now."

He rushed over to Julie and all but fell on her. "Is she okay?"

"I called her and for someone who just kicked open the door to her sexuality, she's s little confused, but fine."

Her words filtered through the buzzing in his ears. "Confused?"

Julie's gazed narrowed. "Yes, confused, you jackass. She did what she thought you wanted her to do and you stormed out without your shirt."

He sat on the couch. "You make it sound like I left her alone."

"You did?"

He bolted up and towered over her. "I left her with Nick."

Julie's steady gazed bored into him and she leaned forward. "She needed you there to tell her what she did wasn't a bad thing."

Brian stepped back and averted his eyes. He'd spent years avoiding this burning in his chest. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"You run when your feelings get uncomfortable."

Her comment hit too close to home. "That's not true," he protested.
