“Oh jeez.” She flopped back on the bed, face burning, covering her eyes with her arms.

He laughed again, and then before she could steel herself, brushed his tongue right through the heart of her.

He gave a deep, satisfied murmur, and Freya bit her forearm to stop herself from crying out. “Don’t do that,” she heard him say. “Nobody can hear you in here except me, love.”

“That’s kind of what I’m embarrassed about.”

He kissed her thigh. “Don’t be.” He licked her again. “Tell me what turns you on. Let me know with your sighs what you like.” He slid his tongue inside her, and she couldn’t help but give a long moan. “God, yes, that’s it. Scream if you want to.”

Freya was so turned on she could have come on the spot, but she forced herself to take deep breaths, wanting to make it last. It could be some time before she had sex again. She wanted to give herself plenty of memories to last her through the next few months.

With two fingers he pressed either side of her sensitive button, stroking it with his tongue, and then finally grazing it with his teeth so she exhaled with a long moan. “Oh God, where did you learn to do that?” She sighed as he did it again, knowing she was growing wetter and wetter as he continued to arouse her.

“School for Gigolos,” he said in between licks, making her giggle.

“Did you graduate well?”

“Summa Cum Laude.”

She laughed at that, following it with a groan as he slid two fingers into her. “Remind me to donate next year’s wages to that school.”

She felt him chuckle, but he didn’t stop, continuing to stroke his warm tongue through her swollen flesh, licking and sucking her to the dizzy heights of ecstasy. She felt as if she were swimming in the hot pools at Rotorua, she was so relaxed and warm. The air around her was dense with moisture, and the windows had begun to steam up. Her orgasm crept up on her so slowly she was almost able to watch it approach. It began with the growing sensitivity of her skin under his tongue, and she threaded her hand into his hair, clenching her fingers in the dark strands. Obviously sensing her pleasure, he slowed the movement of his tongue, and she arched her back as the climax took her leisurely, white-hot heat spreading out from the centre of her abdomen. Everything tightened gradually, spreading out like ripples from the muscles in her thighs to her stomach. Nate grazed his teeth on her, and the answering short, hard pulses of her internal muscles around his fingers made her cry out, the pleasure turning into almost-pain as he sucked hard. She melted, turning liquid in his hands, and his answering deep, satisfied groans brought tears to her eyes.

Eventually she pushed him away, too sensitive to stand any more pressure, and she lay there as exhausted as if she’d run a marathon. The bed dipped, and she opened an eye to see him leave the room, reappearing within seconds with something in his hand that he threw onto the bed. She looked over—it was a condom.

“Help yourself,” she said. “I’m too knackered to do anything but lie here.”

He laughed, lying beside her, stroking her body gently with his fingers. “We’ll see.”

“Seriously, Nate. I don’t mind. Do whatever you like. I’m in no condition to fend you off. I might
doze
off though.”

He kissed her. Then he raised his head and looked into her eyes. Lightning from the storm flickered behind his head, illuminating him with white light for a moment, turning his dark eyes silver. “I don’t think you’ll be able to doze through this,” he promised. “This is where I get to make your teeth rattle.”

“Oh.” She’d forgotten about that request. “Um… That’s fine. Just don’t expect me to join in. I think two’s my limit.”

He laughed. “Perhaps we ought to have a bet on that.” He knelt up and reached for the condom, tore off the wrapper, and slid the condom on. Then he leaned over her, looking down with affection and amusement. “Fifty bucks says two’s not your limit,
Aroha
. And I’m going to enjoy proving it to you.”

Chapter Eight

Freya looked up at him, heart thumping. It had been a while, and she wasn’t exactly used to pleasuring this sort of man. His passion excited her, but it also made her nervous. He expected her to come again, but she’d never had three orgasms in one session, ever. Clearly, he knew his way around the sheets and was probably used to women who got up to all sorts of shenanigans in the bedroom. And she didn’t have any cards up her sleeve, not a single ace. She’d thought lovemaking was about sharing affection and being together. It had always been an emotional experience—on her part, anyway. It had never been this…physical.

Nate looked at her, and his brow furrowed. “Hey.” He bent and kissed her. “Don’t look so worried.”

“Sorry.”

He lay along her, kissing her gently. “What’s the matter?”

“I…” She didn’t know what to say without sounding stupid. “I haven’t done this much,” she admitted eventually, her breath catching in her throat. “I’m a bit nervous.”

He smiled and stroked her cheek. “You seem to be doing all right so far.”

“I haven’t really done much, Nate. You took care of me on your own.”

He kissed her and then raised his head, looking at her seriously. “You want to stop?”

Her answer was immediate and vehement. “Oh God, no!”

He laughed then, rolling off the bed onto his feet, turning to pull her up with him. “In that case, hang on to your hat, sweetheart. Time to show you that you’re not as nice as you think you are.”

Hands on her hips, he turned her around so her back was to the window, pushing her backward until her butt hit the ledge and her skin touched the cool glass. Behind her, rain still hammered on the window, making his body look as if it ran with water. “Here?” she said.

“Here.” He lifted her legs around him so she perched on the ledge. “You look fantastic with the lightning and the rain behind you.”

“You too.” She still couldn’t believe she was doing this. Someone on the street would be able to see her if they looked up! Not that there would be anyone out in this weather. Her heart thundered as he guided his erection so it just pushed into her. Then he paused.

He cupped her cheek. “Are you sure about this,
Aroha?

“Absolutely,” she breathed, touched by his concern, but thinking she wouldn’t be able to stop even if there was an earthquake.

He kissed her, letting his lips hover over hers as he slowly slid into her.

She was so wet, he slid all the way inside easily, right up to the hilt, making her gasp as she adjusted, filled to the brim with him.

“Fuck,” he said vehemently. “You’re so tight…”

She dropped her head back on the glass, sighing. “Oh, that’s amazing.”

He kissed her neck then, touching his tongue to her pulse point, slipping his hand behind her head, threading his fingers through her hair as he tasted her. Slowly, he began to move inside her, short, shallow thrusts that tantalised her sensitive skin and made her groan. With his free hand, he began to play with her nipple, turning the velvet peak hard, rubbing it with his thumb.

There was no way she could come again. Was there? As he continued to kiss her, to thrust inside her and play with her breasts, pleasure began building in her abdomen, and Freya realised maybe her magic total was heading toward three rather than two.

“Oh,” she said, sighing as he gave tiny thrusts of his hips, sliding only the tip of his erection in and out of her. “Stop teasing me.”

He laughed, spreading her legs wide, catching her hands and pinning them above her head on the glass as he had done in the living room. The only place they touched apart from their hands was where he moved inside her, making sexy sucking sounds, and it was so sensual, so erotic, it made her shiver all over.

“Nate, please…”

“What?”

“You’re torturing me.”

“Don’t you like it?” He brushed his lips against hers.

It was excruciatingly sexy, and she felt completely wanton and abandoned sitting there with her legs wide apart, her nipples tightening with pleasure as he leaned forward to kiss her and his chest hair brushed the sensitive tips. He noticed and gave a small groan of approval, thrusting harder so she gasped and said, “Oh yeah.”

He dropped her hands, holding her by the hips. “You want your teeth rattled, honey?”

“Oh God, please.” She gripped hold of the window sill as he began moving, going deeper and faster with each thrust. “Oh…”

“You like that?”

“Oh yes.”

He smirked, biting her ear. “You don’t want me to stop?”

“No. God no. Don’t stop. Please.”

“You’re sure?”

“Harder,” she begged.

He closed his eyes briefly, putting one hot hand on the glass to steady himself as he plunged inside her. “Like this?”

“Oh…” She’d never had sex like it. Sweat coated their skin, and they met with a smack each time he thrust, the loud slap one of the sexiest things she’d ever heard, along with his deep, guttural grunts of pleasure. It was so basic, prehistoric almost, a simple human urge to couple, driven by hormones and plain lust. He was rough and demanding, relentless and feral. It was hot and sweaty, dirty and hard, and definitely the most erotic thing she’d done in her entire life.

Her orgasm began to build, and she tipped her head back on the glass, giving a heartfelt cry as everything began to tighten around his thick, hard length.

“Fuck, Freya…”

“Nate…” She wanted to say something about how much she was enjoying it, but she’d forgotten how to speak, and the only sound she could make was a deep moan as she came.

He pumped her harder and harder, drawing out her orgasm until she was almost sobbing, at which point he groaned and shuddered, giving shallow, jerky thrusts as he spilled inside her, at the exact moment that a crack of thunder rolled around the room.

“Oh my God…” Freya’s heart was pounding so hard it was as if she’d just run flat out for ten minutes. “Did you plan that sound effect?”

He started to laugh, and she collapsed into giggles with him, peeling herself off the window as he withdrew from her, so hot and wet she stuck to everything she touched.

He pulled her over to the bed and they collapsed together, letting their breathing slow gradually as they lay there, looking up at the dark ceiling.

Nate rolled onto his side to look at her.

“I can totally see why they say that burns off four hundred calories,” she said, amused. “I’ve always wondered.”

He smiled, his heart still pounding from the exertion. “So that wasn’t what it’s normally like for you?”

Freya widened her eyes and burst out laughing. “Jeez. No. That was so far removed, I couldn’t begin to describe.”

“Huh. Really?”

“I told you,” she said. “I’ve never had
sex
. It’s a totally new experience for me.” She met his gaze, hers curious, slightly envious. “It’s always like that for you, then?”

He traced her flushed cheek with his finger. “No. That was…special.”

“Yeah, right.” She smiled. “It’s okay—I have a very small ego. I know I was the first port in a storm.” She gestured at the rain still hammering on the glass.

“Not at all. I’m serious.” And he was. Not that he could explain why. He’d been with his share of women, but there was something exceptional about Freya. At first glance, she appeared conservative and reserved, and initially he’d wondered if she’d be as cool in bed as she was out, although the way she’d kissed him—twice—had started to convince him her efficient and capable exterior held a much more passionate soul. Sure enough, although she’d made love with a kind of innocent wonderment, when she’d begged him to thrust harder, spreading her legs to accommodate him, she’d looked so sexy he’d nearly come on the spot. And her erotic groan as she came was so hot he’d practically imploded.

Now she lay there, blonde hair rumpled, exhausted and sated, so cute and kissable he was close to wanting to do her all over again. He moved a little closer, bent his head and kissed her.

“Mm,” she said sleepily, putting her arms around him, resting her head on his shoulder. “It’s so warm in here. I hate to think what sort of an imprint I’ve left on the window.”

He laughed. “It’ll give me something to remember you by.”

She said nothing, and he felt suddenly guilty, wondering if he’d upset her by mentioning the fact that this was a one-off event. What was he doing, bringing a girl he knew back to his flat, making love to her? It wasn’t as if he could avoid her from now on—she was close friends with Grace and Ash, and they would inevitably see each other socially. What would he do if she started hinting about seeing him again?

“Freya?”

She said nothing, and he lifted his head to look at her.

She was asleep.

Nate studied her and then lay back. He’d told her he’d sleep on the sofa, but of course that was before they’d got all hot and sweaty. It was a long time since he’d woken up with a girl. He usually made his excuses and left before the morning. He should really extricate himself now and leave her to slumber alone.

But he was tired, and the sofa was hard and too short for him. But the bed was soft, and Freya was soft too, one leg hooked over his, her breasts pressed against his ribcage, her blonde hair lying like silk ribbons across his chest. If he moved, he’d only wake her. Maybe he’d leave later, if she rolled over away from him.
