She pulled out two and went about fashioning a top and bottom for herself. After much fiddling, she had a, sort of, bikini. The top crossed behind her neck and tied, but actually supported the weight of her new breasts. She pulled up the bottoms between her legs and tied them over both hips. She looked at herself in the mirror and snickered. The bottoms definitely resembled a diaper, but she really didn’t care. She just needed something that wouldn’t allow her bits to flap around.

Slowly, she began to stretch and limber up, and her new outfit held. She wasn’t sure how long she would last since she was already getting tired, but she wanted to see what this new body could do. She wanted to push it to the limits, because she knew she had to. Gaining her freedom was of the utmost importance, and to do that, she needed to be strong.

Chapter Two

Sweat poured down Laira’s face as she gasped for breath. The muscles in her arms and back shook with strain. Her legs longed to collapse, but she stayed strong. Only four more, she thought, just four, and I can stop.

“What are you doing?” Isha broke her concentration. “I have not seen you much in many days. I knew you hid out in here so wanted to check to ensure you lived.”

“Lived? What are you talking about?” she grunted out.

“Some who are brought here don’t do well. I’ve heard of girls who take their own lives. I’ve also heard of a few that have gone mad. I was concerned you were one of them.”

Laira, arms giving out, dropped to the floor, breathing heavily. “Fuck, no. I’m doing pushups. I just didn’t want to do it out in the big room with everyone watching. I figured no one is using this space, so I’d use it. I’m exercising to get in shape.”

Isha nodded slowly. “Why? What shape are you hoping to attain?”

Laira wiped her face with a piece of sarong fabric. “Getting in shape means to build up your body, your stamina. I want to be strong again. When the alien shitheads kidnapped me and screwed with my DNA, they pissed me off. Now that I’ve been working this new body, I’m really satisfied.” She flexed her arms and watched smooth muscles ripple and flow under her skin.

“Are you still walking this path of destruction? Laira, you cannot attack them. We are property to be bought and sold without a thought.”

“Not me,” Laira said determinedly. “I don’t plan on attacking them. I do plan on fighting them every step of the way.”

Though she still wasn’t sure how she was going to stop the Silarin. It wasn’t like she was a closet ninja or anything. The closest she had ever gotten to fighting was the Tae Bo DVD she used to do.
Wait right there, bad guy, let me lunge and punch you in the throat.
Yeah, she couldn’t see anyone standing around waiting for her to get her stance right.

“You are like a warrior goddess from the old stories.” Isha watched her with wide eyes.

Laira drank deeply from a cup she’d gotten out of the fancy Replicator in the room. The thing was amazing. It could serve all kinds of food or drink so that she never had to leave the area except to sleep and shower. “Warrior goddess, huh? I like the sound of that, but I’m not. I’m just a regular girl from Earth working her ass off to get healthy.”

And she had, too. In the time she had been with the Silarin, which to her reckoning was possibly two weeks, though she wasn’t positive, Laira had worked with a mindless determination she didn’t know she possessed. Every day, she ran up and down the large common room after most of the others had gone to bed. She made sure it was late enough so that there were few who saw her. The Silarins who guarded them ignored her as she ran about so she counted that as a huge positive. She wondered if the Silarin could run. They didn’t look much like athletes. Of course, they didn’t need to do much since they carried some kind of energy sticks that would knock someone out. She’d seen them use it on one of the girls the second day Laira had been on the ship. Assholes.

Once Laira had run her laps, she did a series of pushups, lunges and other muscle building exercises. After that, she did all the Tae Bo and kickboxing moves she could remember. Laira truly didn’t know if any of it mattered, but it made her feel better. Made her feel stronger. Made her feel as if given the chance, she would kick major ass.

“You know, instead of downing me all the time, you could join me. It’s proven that exercise can make you feel better. And this whole damn place needs it.” Laira swigged some more liquid.

“What do you mean?”

“Everyone here is depressed. All doom and gloom. There’s nothing we can do. We’re only property…blah, blah, blah. I got tired of hearing it,” she told the other girl. “That’s why I stopped hanging out in the common area. People out there either wouldn’t talk to me, or when they did, all they wanted to talk about was being slaves and sold.”

Isha studied her legs and hands. “I was born swimming. I do not know if I can do what you do.”

“Well hell, we’ll just do it together. It’ll be fun.” Laira laughed. “What do we have to lose?”

“You would not mind me joining you?”

Laira rolled her eyes. “Hell, I’d love it if you’d join me. It’s actually gotten a bit boring doing it all by myself. Besides, I’d like a friend here. If you’re okay with that?” She waited, nearly holding her breath. Back home, her life had been way too crazy to keep up many relationships. The ones she tried to maintain were mostly by email or phone. Here, in this place, she missed the face-to-face contact. She desperately wanted someone to connect with, though she would never admit it aloud. That would mean weakness. And Laira hated being weak.

“Friends?” Isha looked surprised and smiled brightly. “I would very much like to be your friend. I have not had one here. I had many at home.”

“Great! Whatever.” Laira flapped a hand that encompassed everyone else on the ship. “They can sit around crying, but we’ll be doing.”

Isha jumped up. “When can we get started?”

“Tomorrow morning, bright and early. I’ll wake you and show you what I’ve been doing. We’ll have to exercise in the big area, though. This room is way too small for both of us.”

“That is fine. I doubt anyone will notice us.”

Laira smiled as Isha left the room with more spring in her step than Laira had ever seen her have. Laira didn’t know what any of this would bring, but at least it would maybe make her new friend feel better.

“Wow,” Laira spoke aloud. “I made a friend.”

She followed Isha out and over to the bathrooms, since she truly needed a shower. Stripping off her clothes, she stepped into a small cubicle. Instantly, a gentle pulse moved over her body. Isha had explained that this cleaned them without water waste. Actually, Laira couldn’t care less since it felt good. Damn good.

In her real life, and that was the way she thought of it, sex had come dead last. It wasn’t something that entered her mind. She’d had better things to worry about, like paying her bills and going to school. So, men and sex pretty much came after clipping her toenails and cleaning her toilet.

Not to say that Laira lived the life of a chaste nun. She had a small collection of vibrators that did the job when she felt the need, which, of late, hadn’t been often. She’d seen what sex did for women, and it wasn’t pretty. Her mother had run through a series of men, each one worse than the other, until finally the state had stepped in. Laira had been shipped off to foster care, never to see her mom again. Not that it had mattered. Her mother had never been around, anyway. She’d always chased and fucked whatever came her way, not sparing a minute for her daughter.

Laira shoved the thoughts aside as the gentle pulse centered on her nipples. A girl certainly didn’t have an orgasm while thinking about her wretched past. Closing her eyes, she built a scenario in her head. He was tall and built to pleasure only her. The dream guy never had a face she could see. Only lips, hands, and a huge cock that satisfied every time.

Laira leaned back against the wall of the niche as the pulsing energy swirled around each nipple. In her imagination, it was hot swirling tongues licking and pulling at each point. Her thoughts wavered a bit. How did her dream man have two mouths? Shoving it away, she went for it. It was her imagination, so why the hell not? After all, she was zipping through outer space on an alien ship, so why couldn’t he have two mouths? Or maybe it was two men? Oh yeah,
that’s
what it was.

She widened her legs as vibrating energy began to tickle her wet pussy. Laira reached down to pull the lips aside so it would focus on her clit and she gasped. Damn, it felt so good. She could feel the orgasm rise, while in her mind, one of her men ran his mouth over her heat, drinking it in then plunging his tongue deep inside.

Bracing a foot against the opposite wall, Laira felt the throbbing build, swirling around her cunt like a palpable presence. She panted for breath, as it spread to enfold the sensitive place between her bottom cheeks.

She had read about anal sex but never considered participating. The rippling energy drove a strangled moan from Laira as it centered on the two sensitive areas between her legs. Forcing her legs farther apart, she thrust her bottom out so the beam could dig deeper.

Clutching at the walls, Laira felt a scream well up as a tremendous orgasm tore through her body. She bucked and shivered, scrabbling frantically for something to hold on to. Finally, her legs gave out as she slid to the floor of the stall still groaning and quivering, caught in the grasp of the best orgasm she’d ever had, would ever have.

Pushing herself up and out of the stall, she collapsed on the floor. Damn, what was happening to her? She’d had orgasms before, some even with men, but most with a trusty vibrator. This, though, was insane. The Silarin could make a ton of money marketing their shower system. Women would never leave their homes again.

Finally, she was able to gain her feet so she could leave the bathroom. Thankfully, no one was waiting to use it. On shaky legs, she made it to her pallet and collapsed onto it. Between the exercise and the fabulous orgasm, Laira was exhausted. She pulled a gray blanket up to cover herself and promptly went to sleep.

Laira breathed deep, feeling the burn through her muscles as she ran. Isha turned out to be an excellent jogging companion. The planet she hailed from required many muscles to swim. Though she no longer had the fins, the musculature was still there waiting to be utilized. Since they’d begun exercising together, Laira liked it for more than just the activity it afforded them. She enjoyed Isha’s company far more than she had anyone else’s at home. She let the reflection enter and exit at will. She found that forcing thoughts of home from her head made them dig in their heels that much deeper. When that happened, the tears came, and Laira hated crying. Tears meant weakness, and right now, she couldn’t afford that. Instead, she tried to focus solely on the here and now. She didn’t think about the future, nor did she think about the past. It brought a sort of peace she’d never really known before.

Laira stopped dead, stunned by her own reasoning. There was no way this could be peaceful. Could it? Jeez Louise, maybe she was losing her mind. Maybe she was really locked up in a mental ward.

“What is it?” Isha ran back to join her. “You look…odd.”

Laira gave a small laugh though there was nothing funny about any of this. “When I run, things kind of rush around in my head. And one of them caught me off guard, that’s all.”

“Would you like to talk about it?”

Laira opened her mouth to shake Isha off, but stopped. Maybe hearing it said aloud would banish the idea. “I realized that being here made me focus on now, not what was in the past and not what was going to happen. And doing this brought a peace that home didn’t give me. Is that crazy, or what?”

Isha watched her intently. “No, I do not think it is. I have heard you talk about your world, and it sounds very hurried and stressful. Perhaps, whether you like it or not, being here has given you the chance to rest as being on your planet never did. There are no obligations here. No worries. All we have to do is focus on ourselves, which often can be an uncomfortable preoccupation.”

Laira laughed for real. “You know, girl, you’re damn smart.”

“Yes, I am.” And with that, Isha started off again with Laira running along behind, still smiling.

After their run and shower, the two women eased down on some cushions in the center of the room. In the time she’d been in the Silarin’s hold, she’d discovered that the bizarre sounds she heard emanating around the room was actually supposed to be music. Today, the tune that played in the background sounded like a bunch of kids hitting spoons on a metal fence. If it was supposed to inspire serenity, it didn’t do the job. In fact, it set Laira’s teeth on edge and made her nerves more frayed, if that was possible. Most days, she came away from the chamber with a headache that only a run could get rid of. Today she wasn’t sure, but felt as if killing someone would be a better idea.

“Can I ask what we’re listening to?” Laira whispered to Isha.

“The music comes from Garja’s home,” Isha explained.

“Okay, so why do we have to listen to it all the time?”

“From what others have told me, she set herself up as the…supreme one here.”

“We’re all being held against our wills. What makes her any better than the rest of us?”

Isha shrugged, a gesture she had picked up from Laira among other things. “I do not know. This is what someone told me.”
