“Ours,” they said at the same time, their voices distorted from their animals.
I opened one eye and looked into Xavier’s sleepy expression. I turned my head and smiled at Chase. “Yes. I’m yours, both of yours.”
Chase kissed the top of my head, and I snuggled deeper between them. They held me tight, protecting me and warming not only my body, but my heart as well. I could feel their cum slipping from me, felt my neck throb at the marks they’d left on me, and I reveled in it, knowing that I was truly theirs.
These two men, these bear shifters, were mine, and nothing would ever change that.
Epilogue
Eight months later
Well, I’d learned firsthand that just because it had been my first mating heat, and maybe rare for me to become pregnant, I’d been one of the lucky ones to have a pregnancy take. Now the baby was due in the next few weeks, and I was tired, swollen, and ready to shift again.
Since finding out I’d become pregnant I had been restricted in shifting, as the transformation too dangerous during pregnancy. I’d been fine with that, because the baby came first. But God, nine months was a long time not to turn into my animal, and I felt the wolf clawing at me, growing impatient.
Easy. It’ll be soon enough. The baby comes first.
My wolf calmed, as I did, when I thought those words.
I held a hand to my swollen belly and felt the baby kick. I couldn’t help but smile.
The front door opened, and I glanced behind me to see Chase walking in.
“Smells good in here,” he said, a bag in his hand that smelled of rabbit.
He’d gone hunting, and had obviously found some small critters.
“What, no deer?” Xavier said from the kitchen, the scent of steaks cooking filling the air.
“We got two, and Graham was helping the others dress it.”
“Was?” I asked, and when there wasn’t an answer I looked at Chase. There was this funny expression on his face.
“What?” I asked.
“Graham found his mate while we were out. She’s a human, and he’s going crazy over it.”
Oh. Wow.
“Why isn’t he out there with her? Why the hell is he dressing a fucking deer?” Xavier asked, then promptly cursed as he burned himself.
“He’s leaving now after the others told him to fuck off and mate her.” Chase chuckled.
“I’m glad he found someone. He deserves it.”
My mates nodded in unison.
After Chase handed off the bag of rabbits to Xavier he came over to me, a big smile on his face.
“You smell,” I teased, scenting the wilderness and rabbit blood on him, even though he’d washed up.
He got on his knees before me, framed my huge belly, and started rubbing.
“How’s our little girl doing?” he whispered against my skin, looking up at me with love in his eyes. Our daughter decided to kick hard then, and I laughed.
“She’s ready to get out of there. She’s running out of room.”
Chase grinned. Xavier came up and knelt beside Chase. He was drying off his hands, and then tossed the rag onto the coffee table. He smoothed his hand over my belly, both males having this look of wonder on their faces.
They did this every night, rubbed my belly, my feet, put lotion on my legs and hands, and pampered me until I felt like the most loved, and luckiest female in the world.
We wouldn’t know who the biological father was between Chase and Xavier until she was born and they could catch her scent, but it didn’t matter. They were both her fathers, would both love her, and the three of them would always be a family.
“Come on, you two,” Xavier said and leaned down to give my belly a kiss. “It’s dinner time, and this little girl needs to eat.”
The baby kicked, as if agreeing.
There was nothing better in this world than being in love and having that love returned.
