“Ah yeah, fuck, I’m so fucking
full of you both,” Coben said. His brow was shiny with moisture, the tendons in
his neck strained.

“More,” I demanded, cupping
both Ed and Coben’s cheeks. “Give me more…”

“Yes, ma’am,” Ed said, his
voice low and husky. “Whatever you say, ma’am.”

The pace suddenly picked up
and we rocked, thrust, shoved and ground against one another. Ed was in
control, being the one on top, and when he pushed to full depth into Coben,
Coben’s cock butted up against my cervix and he pressed onto my engorged clit.

“More, harder,” I shouted, “I
can take it.” I remembered what Ed had said about being careful, but I wasn’t a
delicate princess. I liked a good hard fuck as much as Coben did. I wouldn’t
break and the odd bruise didn’t scare me.

“Don’t fucking tempt me,” Ed
said, shoving in with more vigor.

“Ah yeah,” I groaned. “Yes,
yes, yes, like that.” God, the pressure, the heat, it was so much.

“Oh God, I’m gonna come,”
Coben said, releasing my hair and reaching to hold Ed around his neck. “You’re
both…gonna make…me come.”

I reached up and held his
face. Our bodies were rutting together, his dick stimulating my G-spot. “Yes,
yes, I’m coming.”

Bliss exploded and swept
around my convulsing body.

The two shunting soldiers
above me picked up speed, ramming me up the bed. I twisted my legs around
Coben’s, clutched for Ed’s shoulders and cried out.

Coben released a loud, long
wail and erupted inside of me.

Ed grabbed Coben and kissed
him hard, both stretching their necks to make their mouths connect.

I continued to convulse as Ed
came too. He didn’t shout out. It was like he’d folded in on himself, or into
Coben, but I knew he’d come as he held his breath. His lips stopped moving
against Coben’s and he forged forward, harder, faster with more determination
than before.

Coben dropped onto me. Ed
followed suit.

They both grunted loudly.

The breath was knocked from my
lungs, their combined weight too much. I tried to expand my ribs but couldn’t.
I was low on oxygen from my climax, my pussy still spasming and pleasure
swarming over my skin.

I felt myself floating, little
black dots in my vision. “Ugh…” I managed and bashed my fist on Coben’s arm,
once, twice, three times.

“Shit. Sorry, babe,” Coben
said, instantly lifting off me.

I pulled in a long, deep
breath. The black dots receded. My body felt cool as Coben raised onto his
arms, taking Ed up with him.

“It’s…okay,” I panted. “But
combined…your weight is about…three of me.”

“At least,” Ed said. He
stroked his hand over Coben’s head, moved the hair from his ear, then kissed
the shell. “You finished?”

“Fuck yeah, finished off.” He
grinned. “I think you two just blew my mind.”

Ed chuckled. “Well that’s your
dick and your mind blown, probably enough for one evening.” He pulled back.

Coben’s mouth hung slack and
he shut his eyes.

I stared at him. I knew that
feeling of cock slipping from asshole. It was sexy and satisfying after an
orgasm but there was always a moment of loss too.

Ed dropped to the bed, making
it shake. He let his arms fall folded over his chest.

“Did you come good, babe?”
Coben asked, opening his eyes again.

“Yeah.” I slid my hands over
his shoulders, up the column of his neck and held his cheeks. “Really good.”

“Mmm, me too.” He set a kiss
on my lips, then collapsed on the bed next to me so he was in the middle.

My breasts were rising and
falling fast as I continued to pant. My skin was tingling, my pussy wet with
Coben’s release. I rested my forearm over my head and studied the pale cream
ceiling light that was shaped like a flower. Had we really just done that?

Yes.

And it was amazing. Coben had
loved it. I’d loved it, and Ed had fitted in so perfectly. Maybe next time I’d
get to be in the middle, sandwiched between them, cock in my pussy and my ass.

“You haven’t been letting your
wife play with strap-ons, then,” Ed said suddenly. “I can tell. You’re still so
tight and hug me like an elastic band.”

A giggle burst from my mouth.
It was the last thing I’d expected Ed to say.

Coben chuckled too. “No
strap-ons, but only because she hadn’t got round to suggesting it. She would
have…” He smiled at me indulgently. “Eventually, and then the answer would have
been yes.”

“Really?” I raised my eyebrows.
I’d never thought of it. Him using one on me, yes, to fulfill the double
penetration fantasy, but I’d never thought about playing with his ass. I should
have, though, knowing that he had a thing for men too. “Really, you would have
let me?”

“Oh, babe, when do I ever deny
you anything?” He cupped my breast and tweaked my nipple, pulling it to an even
firmer point.

Ed stood and tugged off the
condom. He walked to the bathroom and both Coben and I watched him go. He had
such a cute butt. Small, high, indented at the sides and his thick tattoo that
wrapped almost the whole way round his thigh suited him so well.

“Does it feel good to be back
with him?” I asked quietly.

“It feels good to be with
both
of you.” He stooped and flicked his
tongue over my nipple, leaving a damp sheen on it. “Indulgent, I know, but damn
I didn’t think I was going to stop coming.”

“Yeah, there was a lot of
tension there,” Ed said, suddenly standing next to us again. His face and hair
looked a little damp, like he’d splashed himself with water, and his cock was
deflating.

“You gonna lie back down?”
Coben asked.

“No I might…you know…” He
jerked his thumb over his shoulder. “Hit the road.”

“You don’t have to,” I said.
“You’re welcome to stay here, with us.”

“Well, I don’t know. You…this
is your bed, your place.”

“And we invited you into it,”
I said.

“I…”

Coben held out his hand.
“Stay…please. We want you to.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yeah, and besides, it’s
getting late now, plus you had a few drinks, shouldn’t be driving.”

“Weak arguments, it’s not late
and a couple of drinks an hour or so ago is fine.”

“How about we don’t want you
to go,” I said. “Is that a strong enough argument?”

Ed pulled in a deep breath and
rubbed his palm down his cheek. He looked at Coben.

“We don’t, I don’t,” Coben said,
wriggling his fingers as if encouraging Ed to take them.

“Well okay.” He took Coben’s
hand and slid onto the bed again, pulling up the thin duvet and covering
himself to his waist.

Coben flicked the material
over himself and me.

I settled against him the way
I always did, my head in that perfect dent below his shoulder.

Ed turned to us, holding his
and Coben’s linked fingers in the air. “Thank you.”

“For what?” Coben asked.

“Well this was going to be a
shitty leave, nothing planned except getting a tat and dinner with the Sterns,
and now…now here I am, with you.” He swallowed, as though containing emotion,
then pressed his lips to Coben’s in a long, lingering kiss. He pulled back, a
slight smile on his face, before tipping over Coben to me.

My heart rate picked up. Was
he going to kiss me? Was I finally going to feel those soft lips on mine?
Stroke my tongue against his?

He dropped a sweet kiss to my
forehead.

A twang of disappointment
tugged at me. I knew Ed and Coben had the history, but I wanted him too, and I
wanted him to want
me
. I should have
some of his kisses.

He settled on the other side of Coben, still
holding his hand. I rested my palm on Coben’s chest, wrapped my leg over his
and blew out a long breath as I watched Ed close his eyes and sigh.

“You tired now?” Coben asked
me.

“Yeah.” I closed my eyes too.
“All that sea air.”

Chapter Nine

I must have gone into a deep
and dreamless sleep, barely moving, because when I woke I was still on my side,
my limbs stiff and the pillow creased under my cheek.

The bed was empty, both men
nowhere in sight.

I yawned, stretched, then
headed into the en-suite, wondering where they were. It was a holiday Monday.
There was nowhere to be for me or Coben. But what about Ed?

Feeling sticky and a little
tender between my legs, I decided to shower. After quickly pulling my hair up
into a ponytail and turning on the faucet, I stepped in. I soaped up, rinsed
and within a minute was drying. After brushing my hair and teeth I pulled on
blue sweats and a white t-shirt—deciding to go braless because I knew Coben
liked that.

Will Ed?

I headed down the stairs,
pleased I could smell coffee and hear the rumble of their voices from the
living room. After grabbing a mug and filling it, I headed in.

They were sitting opposite each
other. Ed on the big sofa and Coben on the soft armchair I kept angled next to
the fireplace. Coben wore just his jeans and his feet were bare. Ed had on his
jeans, top and shoes.

“Morning,” I said, breezing
into the room and sitting on the arm of the chair Coben was in.

“Hey, babe,” he said, wrapping
his arm around my waist and kissing the tip of my shoulder. I saw him glance at
my nipples, firm and poking at my t-shirt.

“Sleep well?” Ed asked. He was
holding a mug and as he brought it to his lips I noticed his attention slide to
my chest.

Ah, good, he’s not immune.

“Yeah, you?”

“Mmm.” He drained his mug and
stood. “I have to get going, though. Just wanted to say goodbye to you before I
went.”

“Have you eaten?” I asked.

“Nah.” He set his cup on a
coaster on the table. “I’ll get something out.”

“Are you sure, I—”

“It’s okay,” Coben said,
giving me a squeeze. “Edward’s got stuff to do.”

“Oh, okay.”

Ed shoved his hand into his
jeans pocket and pulled out his keys. He spun them around his finger. “So,
er…thanks, I’ll be seeing you.” He took a step toward the door.

Coben stood. I could feel
tension coming from him. “Edward, I…”

Ed turned. “It’s okay, it was
one night. I get that.”

“I can’t.” Coben ran his hand
through his hair. “I can’t…please don’t just walk away again.”

Ed looked from Coben to me.

“I don’t want you to go
either,” I said. “Last night was freaking awesome, happy for a rerun and…”

“What?” he asked. “And what?”

“Coben knows you really well
and I guess I’d like to get to know you better too. Please don’t feel we don’t
want you about the place. It doesn’t have to be a one-night stand if you don’t
want it to be.”

He smiled then, one of his
lovely big wide smiles that went right to his eyes and sent creases shooting
out from the corners. “Well, how about I take you both out tonight. There’s a
nice Indian not far from here. I’ve been there before. You still like Indian
right, Coben?”

“Yeah.” His shoulders relaxed
and he smiled. “That sounds cool.” He turned to me. “Sian?”

“Perfect, I’m always up for a
night off from slaving away in the kitchen.” I laughed, pleased we’d made
another arrangement to see Ed.

“Great, I’ll catch you later,
then, about eight.”

Then he was gone from the
room.

The front door opened and shut
and within a minute his bike had growled to life. In three fast changes of gear
he blasted out of earshot.

“Fucking hell,” Coben said,
sitting down again with a
bump
. He put his hands over his face.

“You okay?” I was slightly
alarmed by his sudden reaction.

“Yeah, fucking hell yeah,
but…”

“What?”

“It’s all so much, so fast.
Edward, in our lives, in our bed, dinner tonight.” He pulled his hands away and
looked at me. “Don’t forget a few days ago I never thought I’d see him again.
Wasn’t even sure if he was alive.” He shook his head. “I’d buried it, what we
had, everything that we did. It was the only thing to do with it but now…”

“Now it feels like an
explosion.”

“Yes, that’s exactly how it
feels. We used to be so…so intense, yet so secretive and now with you here it
feels easier, right, as if this is what I was waiting for…as if this is what
fate
was waiting for…you.”

“That’s nice to hear you say.”
I set down my coffee, then sat on his lap and stroked his hair flat again.

“But, are you sure, I mean,
it’s a big thing, Sian, to share me.”

I glanced away. “Yes, I’m
sure.”

He was silent for a moment,
then, “Fuck. I know you too well. What is it?” He squeezed me closer. “We’ll
call a halt to the whole thing. I’ll call him now. I’m not having you upset,
uneasy or unsure for a moment. You’re my everything, babe, I—”

I kissed him, his words ending
on my lips.

“There’s no but, just a
question,” I said.

“Fire away.”

“Do you think he wants
me
on the scene?” I glanced at the floor
and pulled at a thread on my t-shirt.

“Babe,” he said, tipping my
chin. “I’ve seen him with plenty of women in my time. He’s a cocky so-and-so,
up for the laugh, enjoys the chase, happy to bed ’em and leave ’em. But you…”

“What?”

“I sense there’s more. He’s
slightly in awe of you.”

I laughed. “That’s
ridiculous.”

“It’s not. You’ve got the one
thing he couldn’t have.”

“Which is?”

“Me.”

I was quiet for a moment.

“Stands to reason,” Coben went
on, “that you’re already someone pretty special to him.” He kissed me. “Plus, I
know damn well he thinks you’re sexy.”

“I’m not so sure.” I yanked
the thread and it snapped.

“He just told me as much, so
you may as well be sure.”

“He did?” That surprised me.

“Yeah, why do you think we
went quiet when you came in the room?”

“I don’t know.”

“Because we were talking about
you. He likes you, but you wear a wedding ring,
my
ring. He might be a man who lives on the edge, and he’s sure as
hell dabbled in the gray lines of ethical and moral correctness in the line of
duty, but he’s not in the habit of sleeping with married women.”

“Not even if you gave him
permission?”

“Well…I haven’t.”

“Coben, but…”

“Shh, it’s early days. I told
you, I haven’t got a problem with he and you together, not if I’m there too,
but there’s only so much fucking a couple of guys and a girl can do in one
night.”

“I suppose.”

“There is, and last night was
intense. Tonight likely will be too. So come on, let’s eat. I’ll cook eggs.”

“Okay.” I stood and
straightened my top. “About last night. Did you, did he, was it always…?”

“What?”

“Were you always the one to,
you know…?”

“Did I always take it?” He
raised his eyebrows.

“Er…yeah.”

“No, we were pretty equal. We
both gave as good as we got. Nice not to have to muffle the sound, though. We
lived in fear of being heard.”

“It must have been so hard.”

“Yeah, it was, but it was
something we couldn’t resist.” He dragged me close. “Passion is like that,
isn’t it? When someone is too damn tempting, not just their body but the whole
person, everything that they are, it’s just impossible not to give into
yearning.” He kissed me hard and pulled me close. His cock thickened beneath
his jeans. My breasts pressed against his chest, only the thin t-shirt between
us.

“Before breakfast?” I asked.

“Yeah, before breakfast.” He
stooped and swung me into his arms. “With you in that wicked top it has to
happen before anything else.”

Next thing I knew he was
stomping up the stairs with a glint in his eye that told me I was going to get
it good. Real good.

****

Breakfast turned into brunch
and we added smoked salmon to our scrambled eggs. I figured it would keep us
going most of the day until we went out with Ed that evening. I pondered on
what to wear. Should I keep it demure and elegant? Or perhaps super-sexy so he
wouldn’t be able to resist and I’d keep Coben on the edge of his seat all night
too? Maybe the best course of action was sophisticated yet with a risqué edge.
A formal blouse unbuttoned one too many and with a necklace resting in my
cleavage? I had a skirt that was of respectable length but super-tight. That
might work with the blouse. Mmm…I had some new black stilettos with silver
spiked heels—too much?

“What are you thinking about?”
Coben asked, looking up from his book. He was lounging in the armchair by the
fireplace and looked all relaxed and gorgeous.

“Nothing.” I chewed on the end
of my pencil. I’d been sketching some new designs for the shop, something to
offer clients that was just a little bit different. But I was struggling. I
kept sketching out motorbikes, wings, linked hands, waves—the things that were
in my mind.

“Spill,” he said.

“I was just wondering what to
wear tonight.”

He smiled. “Whatever you wear
you will be beautiful.”

“Thank you.”

“How are your designs coming
along?”

“Not too bad.” I shrugged and
placed the pencil and pad on the paper. “Could be better.”

“It’ll come to you.”

“Yes, I know. Ed’s tat is
unique, isn’t it. Lots of personal things on it that he’s built up over the
years.”

“Yeah, and it’s expanding.
Some of it I get, some I know are to do with missions, but only I’d get that,
or someone military anyway.”

“Don’t you think they’d put him
at risk if he was captured or something?”

“Nah, they’re very subtle and
well hidden. He’s got enough other stuff going on in there for it to be safe.”

“Did you expect there to be a
C
?”

He shook his head. “Not for a
minute.”

“Were you pleased?”

“Kind of, nice to know I was
special enough for him to want me immortalized on his skin but…” He paused and
rubbed his brow. “I hate that I broke his heart.”

“Sounds like you broke each
other’s.”

“Maybe.” He shrugged a little.
“Yeah, I guess, but I found you.” He smiled suddenly. “You patched mine up,
made it as good as new. Falling in love with you made my life perfect,
complete.”

“Yet Ed never found anyone?”

“Helen, he talked of Helen,
didn’t he?”

“Yes, and it’s sad that he
ended it but maybe it was for the best.” I paused. “Do you think he’s planning
on always being alone?”

“Until he leaves the service.”

“But that could be years, ten,
twenty. That’s a long time to be lonely.”

“Mmm…”

I stood and went to the
window. It was a little overcast. We’d chosen the best day to go to the beach.
The road was full of parked cars. People off work, visitors, the holiday meant
most of our neighbors were just taking it easy. I flicked the curtain to one
side and opened a small top window. We could do with fresh air. We’d been sitting
for ages reading and sketching.

As the breeze came in, with it
arrived the low rumble of an engine. It sounded like Ed’s bike but it was hours
before we were expecting him.

Even so I glanced to the top
of the street.

Heading my way was a big black
bike being driven by a rider all in black.

It looked like Ed.

I waited another few seconds.
The rumble became a roar, then quietened as it pulled into a gap right outside
our house.

I let the curtain fall back
into place and turned to Coben.

“Ed’s here.”

“What?”

“That motorbike, it’s Ed.”

“But?” Coben set his book,
fan-shaped, on the arm of the chair and stood.

“He’s here…” I gestured to the
window.

Coben strode to my side and
glanced out.

Ed had dismounted and was
tugging at his helmet. He wore a serious expression.

“Why do you think he’s come
round now?” I asked.

Coben shook his head. “I hope
it’s not what I think.”

“What do you think?” A feeling
of dread went through me.

“Let’s wait and see.” He
kissed the top of my head, then headed out of the room.

I followed him, a million
reasons why Ed was here blustering through my mind. Had he decided he didn’t
want to take us out for dinner? Maybe he regretted last night and had come to
tell us he never wanted to see us again. Perhaps our threesome fun wasn’t fun
for him.
